243 She is Lonely

Yve continued on her schedules as Team Alpha tightens the security around her. She is also being cautious around her classmates especially on Jenny. Little by little she notices the small acts of Jenny which puts her to little dangers.

Among the things she did at school are submitting false homework to their professor using her name, locking the cubicle she is using in the toilet, putting bubble gum on her seat. These maybe tiny gestures compared to the failed attack on her but these were enough to show Yve how hostile Jenny can be. However, she doesn't believe that stealing the first place on the entrance examination was the only reason. Yve thinks she needs to further investigate.

On the other side of the world, Maddie's tests were all negative and the doctor finally allowed her to go home. Vince took care of the details and now is just few hours away from leaving Paris and returning home.

\"Aren't someone looks so excited to go back?\" Maddie teases her son.

\"Mom!\" Vince exclaimed but smiled as soon as he sees Yve's picture as his phone wallpaper.

\"Of course, I'm excited. It had been days since the last time I saw her. I wasn't able to bid goodbye when I left to look for you.\" Vince explained.

\"By the time we returned, it will be Saturday night? Do you have any plans?\" Maddie asked her son.

\"According to her secretary, her schedule was always full for the past few days. I don't think it is appropriate to also tire her out on a Sunday. So maybe we will just stay at home and act lazy the whole day.\" Vince honestly answered.

\"Well I respect your decision, son. But let me tell you something. I think one of the reasons why Yve was busy the entire week was that she was avoiding feeling lonely. With the two of us here, she has no family member to be with her. Moreover, work is helping her help you in handling the businesses and allows her to lose track of time.\" Maddie expressed her thoughts as she placed her hands on top of her son's.

\"So what do you think should I do? Have a vacation?\"

\"Son, for two people who are in love every day can be a vacation and anywhere can be a tourist destination.\"

\"…\"

\"I can't believe you just run out of ideas on what to do with your wife few months after your wedding.\" Maddie shook her head in disbelief.

\"It's not like that!\" Vince pouted as he began researching on how to deal with the dilemma he is facing.

Back in the country, Edward received a text from Vince informing him that they will be back tomorrow night. He was also told to keep quiet about it but….

'But I can't possibly do it, bro. Your wife is to go on an inspection tomorrow.' Edward thought as he immediately sends a text message to Sylvan and the rest of Team Alpha.

'Primo will be back tomorrow night. Knowing Yve's full schedule, we need to be very careful. Closely coordinate with each other. Primo told me to stay low as this so the possibility for a surprise is high. Make sure your answers are well coordinated to prevent any suspicion, understood?'

This was replied by members of the team with

'Roger that.'

Saturday morning came and Yve went to SkyMu do have the weekly showcase of the artists preparing for their comeback stages and the trainees for their debut. As they finish, it was lunch already and Eybelle reheated the packed lunch prepared by Slayne. They ate inside the office before heading to one of the malls under Stones.

Yve was greeted by the higher personnel as Edward personally welcomed her. The employees merely respected her because of this without knowing her real status.

\"Yve, what's your schedule for today's visit?\" Edward asked.

\"I'm going to attend a meeting first to meet the people in charge. Afterwards, I'm going to see the changes myself by going to the display area.\" Yve answered as they head to the meeting room.

\"Do you need me to come with you?\" Edward asked.

\"There's no need. I can handle it on my own. Besides, Sylvan will be seating beside me.\" Yve assured Edward as Sylvan saluted to his second commander.

\"Okay. Then, I'll focus on my other meetings. I'll just see you when it ends, okay?\" Edward said and bid goodbye as Sylvan opens the door of the meeting room for Yve.

Inside the meeting room, the staff was already waiting for her arrival and has long prepared the needed. They immediately started the meeting. Yve saw the pictures of the updates of the display area. The pictures show they're on schedule. With that the meeting ended and the lights of the meeting room are lightened. The entire team awaits Yve's comments.

\"Thank you for the report. I'm happy to see that we're right on schedule. However, in one of the reports the past few days, I noticed a little rise in the amount of money we have spent for the construction.\" Yve began and Sylvan handed each staff a copy of the report she mentioned. The members began reading the document and found the information as well.

\"I know our goal is to finish everything on schedule with quality so I'm not precisely mad. I just want to know what happened.\" Yve encouraged the members to speak up.

\"Miss Yve,\" the staff began the report.

Yve listened attentively to the staff and began writing the details in her own copy.

\"I hope you will not get mad at her, Miss. Yve. It was our entire decision.\"

\"I'm not mad. I just hope you will write changes like this in the report. More than mad, I can say I'm worried.\" Yve said and smiled at the members.

Once the meeting concluded, Yve followed the staff to the display area. Beside her was Sylvan and following behind the shadows were Eybelle and her team.

Eybelle sent a message to the rest of the team regarding the status of her mission.

\"She's an amazing leader indeed.\" Jaleb complimented.

\"Yeah, but I just hope she's not over doing it.\"

\"She wouldn\"t be able to as Primo is coming back tonight and definitely the boss would like to spend some more time with her.\"

\"I guess you're right.\"

\"But, you know what; I think she's just lonely.\"Eybelle replied back to the entire team.
