Chapter 378: Love Crazily or Not At All

Si Mobai turned around. He lowered his eyes to stare straight at her and said, “Lan’er…”

Feng Tianlan looked at him with her eyes wide open. She didn’t ask him to turn around, but he did anyway.

“Since you’ve explained everything clearly, I want to accompany you. Happy or sad, it’s no matter. I want to accompany you,” Si Mobai said, not wanting Feng Tianlan to stare at his back when she was sad.

After he turned around, Feng Tianlan felt like she couldn’t say what she wanted to. The perfect atmosphere was ruined.

“Si Mobai, I like you a little bit, but I don’t know if this is the purest type of affection or just a false sense of it that’s emerged because you risked everything to save my life.” Feng Tianlan glanced at Si Mobai, who was about to say something. She continued, “If you speak again, I will stop talking, and you will regret it.”

“I will not say another word.” Si Mobai shut his mouth obediently. He wanted to hear whatever she was about to say.

“I can stop bringing up the past, but I can’t stop thinking about the future.” Feng Tianlan looked straight at Si Mobai as she talked. “Si Mobai, I still have some incomplete responsibilities. Give me three years. After three years, if you still like me as much as you do right now, then I will give you a reply.”

She wanted to return to the Xuantian Continent. She still craved revenge—she hadn’t yet avenged her parents. Her future was too dangerous. She couldn’t guarantee that she would survive and live a long life. Maybe, in the end, she would perish together with Shen Yunya and the others.

Si Mobai did not hesitate. He reached out to hold Feng Tianlan’s soft, delicate hands and promised her with determination, “I will accompany you on your future journey. I will help you fulfill your responsibilities.”

Feng Tianlan was moved. She looked at Si Mobai and said in a deep voice, “Too many things are going happening during these next three years. In the end, I might realize that I don’t actually have romantic feelings for you at all. Even though he betrayed me, I might still care for him.”

Si Mobai frowned. He resented what she’d just said. She could only like him.

“The person I’m talking about is not Si Rong, and we are bound to meet again. Right now, I only know that I hate him. However, I don’t know whether my feelings will be different once I see him again.” Feng Tianlan looked at Si Mobai earnestly and added, “I cannot make you a promise before clarifying my feelings. It would be unfair to you.”

She could not tell whether her feelings for Jiang Ying consisted of pure hatred, or if they were a mixture of love and hate.

She also couldn’t tell if her feelings for Si Mobai were real or whether she was merely emotionally moved. All of these emotions would take time to be clarified.

“Who is he?” Si Mobai and asked in a cold voice.

Feng Tianlan looked straight at him and replied, “Si Mobai, let’s give each other some time. Let nature takes its course and don’t force things.”

No matter what her feelings for Jiang Ying were, she would always feel more hatred than love. She would always want to kill him. She would never stoop so low as to fall in love with him again. He was not worthy!

Being together with Si Mobai without being clear on her feelings would be irresponsible. That was not the way to have a relationship.

“I want a connection that lasts forever. A relationship where two people help each other in any circumstance and grow old together. I do not want a relationship that only focuses on the present without paying attention to the future.” Feng Tianlan’s eyes were as bright as shimmering waters. “Si Mobai, either I love crazily or not at all.”

She had been hurt once and was now scared. If she were to let go of the past and fell in love with Si Mobai, then she would love him crazily. However, the years ahead were going to be the most insane of her lifetime, so she had to be extremely cautious.

She didn’t want to break her bones again by falling in love!

“Are you done?” Si Mobai asked, looking at Feng Tianlan, who nodded. “Then,” he continued, “it is my turn to speak.”
