Chapter 351: Giving Their Lives for Hers

As the Phoenix’s whistle resounded in the clouds, tens of thousands of beasts groveled in fear, begging her to spare their lives. Slowly but steadily, they started to retreat on all fours.

Feng Tianlan’s white dress seemed to glow red as she unleashed the Phoenix in the Sky. It was like she had become one with the Fire Phoenix. It was so majestic, ethereal, and imposing. It was as if she were a real phoenix soaring above the nine skies.

The dark shadow swept its chilling gaze over the million demonic beasts. They kept retreating, and the shadow let out a cold chuckle. The black silhouette gently raised an arm and ordered, “Go.”

At the command, a cold gleam flashed through the sky and swooped toward the Fire Phoenix. Wherever the cold glow flew by, it caused the retreating demonic beasts to plunge into a renewed frenzy. Howling more ferociously than ever, they followed the cold gleam’s lead and launched a fiercer, speedier attack on the humans.

Luo Yunzhu and the others, who had just heaved a sigh of relief, immediately turned grim as the retreating demonic beasts returned.

The powerful and imperial phoenix whistle caused the invading demonic beasts to pause in their tracks, but only for a second. With the icy cry of another phoenix, they growled and snarled. Stripped of all reason, they attacked like insane beasts.

The cold gleam sped across the sky like a shooting star and suddenly glowed a blinding white. It transformed into an Ice Phoenix so large that it seemed to block out the entire sky as it crashed into the Fire Phoenix. They were like two planets colliding.

The Fire Phoenix, which was half its size, shattered instantly from the impact. The blast generated a humongous firework that exploded in the night sky, lighting up the dark with its light streams.

Puu! Blood gushed out from Feng Tianlan’s mouth.

Feng Tianlan felt a sharp pain in between her eyebrows and burrowed down into her Cinnabar field. It burst her spiritual veins, leaving them in disarray. She was gravely injured!

“Lan’er.” Si Mobai’s face was stained with the blood that Feng Tianlan had spat up. He felt that his entire being, from his body to his soul, was turning feverish at that very instant.

The Ice Phoenix howled as it extended its huge claws, diving straight toward Feng Tianlan. It looked like it had wanted to puncture her body and shatter her to smithereens.

Si Mobai’s irises contracted as he pushed Feng Tianlan toward Luo Yunzhu without thinking. When he raised his head again, the Ice Phoenix was already before him. It seemed to have pierced him, yet it also looked like it had devoured him. One thing was sure – Si Mobai could no longer be seen.

Feng Tianlan’s eyes widened. It was as if the sky had fallen that very instant, and the ground had given way. At that very moment, she felt as though her world had collapsed!

“Si Mobai.” Feng Tianlan called out as she sliced her left palm open with spiritual force.

She sprinkled her blood in midair, summoning a palm-sized mini phoenix. It tore the winds as it soared upward, biting the Ice Phoenix directly on the neck.

The Ice Phoenix turned around and quickly swallowed the little Phoenix.

Feng Tianlan’s eyes turned red as she sliced her wrist. More blood spilled from her wound, and a larger phoenix that spanned more than a yard flew out of her blood.

“Tianlan, stop!” Seeing Feng Tianlan senseless and drawing phoenixes with her blood without a care for her own life, Luo Yunzhu quickly went to her and tried to restrain her with a hug. Feng Tianlan was already severely injured. If she kept this up, she would die from the Phoenix’s backlash before severe blood loss could set in.

“Let’s go.”

“Neve—” Before she could finish her sentence, Luo Yunzhu felt a sudden pain in her chest and fell a few steps back. When she opened her eyes, she saw Feng Tianlan jumping onto the back of a phoenix and diving straight toward the giant Ice Phoenix. Her eyes widened in shock as she immediately went after her, yelling, “Tianlan.”

Feng Tianlan and her Phoenix appeared to have been consumed by the Ice Phoenix. They were nowhere to be seen.

Luo Yunzhu, Zhang Tiancheng, and Chuling all dove at the Ice Phoenix without hesitation. Soon, they were all engulfed.

Lin Suyin, stunned by these developments, hesitated for a second before jumping into the fray. Her Master had ordered her to gain Feng Tianlan’s trust, even if it cost her life. This was her mission!

Surrounded by icy coldness, Feng Tianlan felt as if someone had pulled her into a world of ice and snow. She began to search for Si Mobai frantically with a quivering voice.
