Chapter 1912 Emails

The nurse headed out of the room without another word. Across the bed, Black was knocked out from his lack of sleep. Holley let out a huge sigh. 'Life is too good, ' she thought.

In that moment, the door creaked softly as someone pushed it open.

She shot her eyes towards the door's direction and found Scott on the other side. Bringing her index finger to her lips, she asked Scott to keep it down so Black could sleep in peace.

Careful not to make a sound, Scott made his way towards Holley's side. He grinned from ear to ear and asked, "Why are you so worried? You've got the guy, don't you?"

"What are you doing here? I've already paid you." Holley gritted her teeth. If she had known that Scott was secretly so manipulative, she wouldn't have asked him for help.

"Hey, Holley, we were classmates. I just wanted to pay you a visit." He shrugged off Holley's coldness, though, surprisingly, he was a bit saddened by it.

To Holley, Scott was just playing two face. They were not close enough for him to visit her out of the blue.

"Cut to the chase. Why are you really here?" she snapped. The longer Scott was here, the more the possibility for Black to see him increased. That wouldn't end well.

"Why the rush, Holley?" said Scott with a smirk.

Holley kept glancing back in Black's direction to make sure he was soundly asleep.

He clicked on his computer to go through his emails.

Little did he know, they were about Holley.

After going through everything, he couldn't believe what he had just read. Rex reached for his phone and dialed a number. "Come to the house. Now!"

'If these emails are true, then Black is so screwed, ' he thought.

In a few minutes, the person on the other end of the call arrived.

"Sir, what do you need me for?" He had been really quick, sensing from Rex's tone that it was something urgent.

"I need you to find the person who sent these emails. Also, verify everything. Every single thing." Rex was literally gritting his teeth. If he could have confirmed the information right now, he would have rushed to the hospital and attacked Holley.

A week had passed, and it was time for Holley to be discharged from the hospital.

Careful and meticulous, Black made sure to attend to her every need.

"Holley, let me drive you home," he said softly, smoothing his fingers over her hand.

The hired nurse assisted her into the car as Black's phone rang.
