Chapter 1887 I Will Listen To You

Recently, Charles had been avoiding seeing Melissa because every time he saw her lying in bed, unconscious, he'd feel guilty for not taking better care of her.

David frowned and remained silent.

That was his answer. Charles didn't say anything but told him to leave.

Meanwhile, Leila was at the hospital. She'd just checked her phone, only to see that Holley was still trying to call her these past two days—the woman was persistent.

Holley wouldn't give up, and Leila knew that if she didn't answer her call anytime soon, Holley might go crazy.

"What?" Leila asked coldly. Obviously, she didn't like Holley. She had answered Holley's call, but it didn't mean that she was happy to talk to her.

Holley was just taking a chance by calling Leila. If Leila didn't answer, then she wouldn't be able to vent on anyone. As long as she had the time, she'd call Leila, so she was a bit surprised when, after two days, Leila finally answered.

"Leila, what are you doing? Are you talking to Ferry now?" Holley really wanted to know what Leila and Ferry were up to.

Leila smiled unknowingly as she thought to herself, 'Now, you're scared. It's not my fault you were so stupid. Why didn't you think of this before?'

"Yes. Why? Am I not allowed to?" Leila answered disdainfully.

Holley couldn't control her anger anymore. She clenched her hands into fists. After a long pause, she said, "It's so obvious that you don't know what kind of person Ferry is."

"What do you have to do with any of this anyway?" Leila really wanted to hang up the phone already. If only she didn't have plans to embarrass Holley, she'd have hung up in a heartbeat.

"Ferry is merciless. He'll kill anyone without a second thought. Now that you're in direct contact with him, aren't you afraid for your life? If you cross him, you'll end up dead." Holley didn't sugarcoat what she knew anymore. She needed Leila to stop whatever she was doing.

However, upon hearing Holley,

ried that Melissa still hadn't woken up.

"I'd like to believe that Ms. Shen is going to wake up soon if only for your and her son's sake," the nurse commented.

"You can leave for now. I can look after her this morning. You can use this morning to rest," Leila softly said.

She figured if the nurse stayed, she'd have to keep pretending, so she just asked her to leave.

The following day

At Holley's home

Early in the morning, Holley started to feel restless. Black was treating her like a queen, but time was quickly passing by. If she didn't come up with a solution soon, she'd be done.

Holley had been racking her brain trying to figure out the perfect solution. When she got up that morning, she suddenly thought of something.

She felt much better after she'd thought of this.

Now that she'd figured out a way, she just needed to wait for the right time.

"Holley, what's up? You seem to be in a good mood today." When Black got up, he found that Holley was already up and about. She was smiling, so this put him in a good mood too.

"I found a good movie that's going to be showing. Can we go to the movie house today?" Holley raised her head and looked at Black expectantly.

Black walked towards her and caressed her cheek. He said softly, "We can do whatever you like."
