He said it with firm conviction. He was watching as the chopper took off and flew into the sky. The chopper slowly vanished and Calix closed his eyes regulating his emotions. Calix walked away from the place, he made up his mind. 

He turned on his phone and decided to call his father. Based on what he knew, his father was on the border and fighting monsters. He asked his father to protect Scarlett. He felt pathetic because he couldn't do it himself, he swallowed his pride and pushed the button.

As he left the place, Calix overlooked one thing. He didn't see that someone was staring at him from afar. A pair of golden eyes looked at him with great intensity.
