Chapter 384 - Childhood Is Gone!

Her words held the strength to hurt Austin deeply.

Not only that, in fact somewhere back in his mind, he knew that he had committed plenty of mistakes

Yet he wasn't sorry for the same.

Rather he felt that Jennifer was acting to be unreasonable. She should rather be grateful to him for all the help he had done for her.

But instead of showing a sense of gratitude, she was threatening to openly kill him.

His expressions didn't bulge the expressions from that face of his but he only muttered, "You know that I'm equally powerful as you.."

"Doesn't matter. Did you forget that in the skills ring, I used to always defeat you  no matter what?" Jennifer wasn't any dumb person, to begin with, either.

She had spoken her words after keeping the deeper amount of knowledge that was embedded in her mind.

If she had the power and ability to walk, Austin won't be actually standing by her side. Neither would have she let him do so, as his face itself brought a disgusting memory in mind.

Hannah, who was witnessing their battle of words, can't help but feel herself heaviest with emotions.

She pressed her hand against her own head when she took a deep breath, "Can't you both stop thinking about fighting?"

"A hacker like you should shut your mouth!"

Austin was no longer lenient as before with Hannah, and it also irritated Jennifer to the core, "Austin! get out of this place before I do anything worse than that..."

"Jennifer I'm n-"

TUNG! TUNG!

The anger and desperation finally made Jennifer actually take the nearby glass of water and throw it on the ground.

It broke in the piece, and even the water splashed on Austin's clothing. He didn't seem to mind that either but her actions were vibrantly out of anger, he thought.

Lifting his eyes, he passed Jennifer a murderous glance as he opened his mouth to alert her as well, "You are playing with fire..."

"Fire?" At this comment, a huge chuckle left out of her lips when she couldn't help but feel the ultimate situation that lay.

Did he just consider himself to be equivalent to the fire?

"hahaha...Austin, even if Lucas had said that to me, I would have still believed so. But you? A fire? You are no less than any person who actually goes and gets shelters under Lucas!" Jennifer continued to laugh at him, while she was already raging up with anger in her mind.

This man was very frustrated that it was spreading all over around.

While Austin stared at Jennifer, who was still lying on the hospital bed, her tongue always conveyed mockery and was instantly ready for the sharp replies.

It shocked him, but he controlled himself to not snap his anger over her.

Without even trying to engage in any more talks, he stood on his toes to make his way out of the ward.

He had already listened enough for one day!

Austin's veins were already on the edge of popping out, when he closed the door behind him, as he appeared again in the hospital lobby.

Taking a deep breath, he let his emotions straight go back his mind and the straight blank face again appeared.

"What are you doing here?'' Suddenly, a girly voice entered into his ears, which made him trace his eyes in the other direction to see none other than the lady, whom he hasn't seen for so long.

Olivia was wearing a red color top with normal blue jeans. A scarf was loosely hanging around her neck.

Today, for the very first time he saw her in an informal outfit and it…suited her beauty even now.

"I should ask this question to you, Ms. Olivia. What are you doing in this hospital...and that too..." as he focused on the basket that she held in her hand, "...With a basket full of fruits?"

On the other hand, Olivia had no idea that Austin was also coming back to this state.

No, she had no clue that he would actually accompany Jennifer here!

Olivia took a few steps when she came just in front of him. With her confident self, she asked again, "You were here to meet your love, whom you had just betrayed?"

"Also, aren't you here to actually serve your boss's fiance? Tsk tsk..." Austin's sarcastic comment made her lips turn into a straight line.

A frown curved down on her forehead when he realized that he wasn't in any good mood either to converse.

Neither was she, after all, she heard that Jennifer was brought back to the state and obviously, it was something she hated though

After all, her status and position were in grave danger!

Blinking her eyes, she answered, "My Boss has changed as per your instructions... Today, I'm here only to come on behalf of Lucas, as a friend."

"So he upgraded you to his friend..even when you left his side? That is unlikely to be expected out of Lucas....but surely, I don't doubt your charm over him." Austin's vibe gave her some chills behind her back.

If Lucas was scary, so was this man who was nowhere as sweet with her like before.

'Both of us have changed so much..' she can't even help but admire how handsomely he looked right now.

The fine face of his changed into something, she wasn't expecting either.

Also, his eyes were deeper than any ocean, containing the same emotional turmoil like before she has seen in her life. "At least he likes to keep me as a friend...unlike you...who never gave any name to this relationship.." Olivia never tore her eyes from his eyes.

A frown carved on her forehead, as a strict expression has already started to trace her face's corner as well.

Nevertheless, her relationship with this man can never be described in words.. in the end, they are no less than any strangers who know everything about each other.

Austin himself could feel attracted to that face, the chubby cheeks which he used to pull before in his life.

But the time changed, so did he.

Downwards, his hands were converted into a fist when he told her, "You are still the same...holding grudges.."

"Your attitude made me land in this. There was nothing between us... except the partnership and me working for you, Mr. Austin Brown....or Sir!"
