Chapter 324 - Our New Life...

"BU-"

PAK!

The sound of the slap echoed in the entire room where Jennifer could instantly feel her palm burning due to the amount of force she used.

However, at this point, her reddish eyes only stared at the man who was more interested in breaking her promises and heart, "Javier.. I hate you. I really hate you for  breaking my trust!"

A scoff left her lips, without tearing her gaze, "But probably, I hate myself even more because I gave a person like you a chance to outshine. I.. hate.. myself since I fell for a man like you who has no...feelings, except the intent to use me!"

The words were straight, leaving no space for negotiation in between. The way her eyes shined, were already enough to depict the kind of mess she went through.

At this point, Javier held his cheek, in shock and surprise. His side was all red, with a slight cut that appeared over his lips.

Yet, this never made him feel the disappointment, which he could sense from himself.

"I..I.. never wanted Jennifer.. this… Just let me explain this once.." was all that he was able to mutter. However, this was what brought a fake chuckle out of her lips, "Listen? To you? After whatever you have done?"

"I..I.. know I..did wrong. But my intention was never to hurt you.." Javier's voice turned feeble until she found it almost inaudible.

"I never cared about your intentions! You want to get that Emily pregnant, ain't it so!? Just Go then! Go away from me!!!!" Her yelling was sharp, hitting Javier's heart like an arrow.

Jennifer pushed Javier once again, to make him step back, and stand far away from the current place. The turmoil which she went through was thousands of times worse than what she felt on his engagement.

It was like thunder that poured overhead which held the power to almost make her feel loneliness spreading throughout her mind. "I trusted the guy.. I seriously married a person who has no loyalty towards his wife…"

"N-no.. please Jennifer.." Javier took a step ahead, to cup her face. Trying to control his urge to just step by her side and press her into his arms, for once and all.

Unfortunately, things have slipped from the grip of his hands as well.

On witnessing him trying to get closer to her, Jennifer lifted her hand to bring it in her front, "Don't! Just don't.. don't even come close to me!"

"I can't even see your face!" Jennifer said while her eyes were already the source of the tears flowing through her cheeks.

The tears poured on their own when she could sense her heart-shattering thousands of times altogether. "How will I tell my parents.. that I married a man whom I didn't know?"

"Someone who kidnapped me and actually got entangled with me to safeguard? Will I say that I married a man, who is engaged to someone else? Did you ever imagine what I have to undergo?"

Seeing her expressions and her desperation only made Javier silent.

He had nothing to say, only to hear her worry and concern with the hope that she might understand when her mind relaxes.

The lack of reply from his side made her shake her head, "Correct, you don't know! NONE OF YOU KNOW! ALL OF YOU J-"

Her words were cut short when subconsciously, Jennifer's hands traveled to her head, to hold it tight.

Her eyes lowered slightly, as she could feel something hitting her up.

'Gosh... What is this joke?' Was it a headache? But why did she feel everything around her just rotating in the circles?

On witnessing the same kind of gestures, Javier slightly got altered. Despite being straight away, his eyes were stagnant at her figure to observe what exactly happened with her?! What took place?

He wasn't sure either but then he called her name sweetly, "Jennifer.. is.." not able to finish his sentence before she was on the edge of falling on the ground.

Fortunately, his reflexes worked quite swiftly before he caught her into his arms, stopping her to fall unconsciously on the ground.

"Jennifer! Open your eyes!"

He tries to tap her on her face but to no avail. She never opened her eyes.

In contrast, her face turned paler with the time when he lifted her from the ground into his embrace, making her lay on the bed behind them.

Rubbing her hands, "BUTLER! COME HERE!"

His yell was sharp as the butler appeared within the next few minutes only to bow once,  "Yes master?"

"Call the doctor immediately!"

The doctor was currently checking Jennifer's pulse, who lay unconsciously on the bed.

Meanwhile, Javier and the butler were standing on the other side of the bed. A frown was curved on Javier's forehead as his eyes never from his wife's face even for the tiniest second.

After completing the checkup, the doctor removed his telescope, to lift his eyes in Javier's direction, "Mr. Johnson, she needs a lot of care."

"What has exactly happened? This is the second time something like this has happened to her." Javier asked in distant worry.

"She is exhausted and stressed. Although I have some things to test, I have taken the blood sample to conduct those tests. Let us wait for the reports, instead of making any assumptions." The doctor told in the most professional way ever.

Yet, the comment was enough to make Javier feel alarmed as well, "Tests? Is everything alright? Is there any serious concern?"

In return, he shook his head immediately, giving him a negative answer, "As I said, let us take the test. This won't be serious, just for precaution."

At last, Javier nodded his head, averting his gaze back on Jennifer, "Alright. Thank you for your consultation.."

"Butler.." om his name being called, the butler gave his master a look before passing the doctor a warm smile, "I will show you the way from outside. Please come.."

The doctor and the butler left, leaving Javier alone with his lady love. Taking a seat beside her on the bed, Javier stared at the white-sheet-like face of hers.

'Sorry love… I'm giving you extreme tension about me…' he knew he was late since she is already hurt but with no other option, he can only try to get his things out.

Bringing his hand near her face, he removed the string of her hair that covered her face to tug it behind her ears, "Don't worry…I will sort this very soon...to start out a new life..."
