Chapter 266 - She Is Alive!

Somewhere isolated.

A man, slightly old, was standing near the window of his castle when his eyes were looking down to see the large Greenlands.

Flowers were blossoming, with butterflies flying nearby.

The view was scenic which provided him with unseen ease, yet they all made him recall the past memories.

'These flowers are still growing… despite your absence. Seems like.. you are watching them from heaven.' His heart is covered with plague when his brows curve into a  frown.

The white hair of his already showed his age, with his wrinkled face.

Just when he was immersed in his own deep thoughts, he heard the knock on the door. Turning around, he saw one of his sons making his way towards him, "Father…"

The man bowed slightly and stood by his side, "What are you thinking?" the young man asked with a giant voice when the old man laughed.

"What can this old man even think? Just.. observing the freshness of those beautiful flowers. How much I long to see them.. unfortunately they both have departed to heaven now." The longingness was crucially clear in speech when the young man coughed slightly.

"Father… thinking about them might not bring them back to us." was all that he said, without any intention to put the bandage on his father's old wounds. "You are correct. But… with time, I have managed to live without their physical presence but not without their memories."

"They must be sad if they hear that you are sullen due to their memories." The young man's movie was serious, indicating that his father should already quit the activity but that it was hard to let it go.

Without facing his son, the man laughed when he patted the young man's shoulders.

Caressing his hair as if he was a small boy, he further said, "You are the youngest but I get the hint that you are the oldest one."

This brought a faint smile to his lips when he answered back, "All the elder brothers are much more experienced than me. I'm nothing in comparison to them. They're still a lot for me to learn."

Nodding his head, his eyes traveled back to the view when he muttered in  his breath, "You were very young… when everything took place."

"Agreed but that doesn't mean that I don't know what happened. It's just.. everything is too blurry to even remember now." His father understood it.

The time has been long enough since they lost the pillars of their lives. All his sons were disheartened when the situation landed on them but they had to accept it.

There was subtitle silence between them when no one even stricked a single conversation. Rather, they both watched how the flowers bloomed under sunshine.

But then, the silence broke when another voice was heard, "Her death anniversary is coming soon. Do you want us to do something?"

Hearing this,  a frown carved on his face. The man turned his face, in his direction, he saw that his breath was uneven.

Just expressions already give the man goosebumps, "FATHER.. "

"It is upon you whether you wish to do something or not. I won't say this at all. I..I.. will just lay my visit to a graveyard and her tomb.''His son was very well equipped with the situation, knowing the deeper meaning behind his words too.

'He can't let go of her.. even after decades have passed. How strong was their love?' He can't even determine that ever in his wildest dream.

But he was also the last of their love story.. after all, he is one of the results of their immense love. "Second brother also suggested that we should do the same.. just time to visit the graveyard."

"Hmm…."

Once again, the silence reverenced the room he was in, even though he didn't say anything anymore.

Rather, they all stayed shut, with their heart already shattering in the memories of their loved ones who were no more in this world.

But then, the loud voice of the footstool could be heard behind them when they faced each other and subconsciously, their eyes flew back to see a gentleman appearing at the entrance of the door..

"V! We have told you thousands of times to not rush into things! You are strictly asked to do the best rest instead of running!" the father scolded, quite strictly without even knowing who was behind.

At the same time, the younger son also looked quite worried when he walked close to his other brother and helped him stand, "Be careful. You just have an operation.. you won't like to go through another surgery?"

"B-but.. this is really important.." At this stage, the man went to see his father, "I found.. something. Something Really dangerous."

"What danger?" The father asked with a questionable look but what he came across was to see his son looking quite worried about the undefined thing.

What kind of information did he get his hands on!?

"The.. research.. the thing we have been doing for years has finally… come true."  The words made no sense to anyone as they looked at him with a sharp glare, "Straight on the point."

Gulping the saliva and taking a deep breath, the man lifted his eyes to look straight. With his breath already stable, he looked straight into his father's questionable gaze, who seemed more like a strict man whose happiness and glory faded, replaced with anger and fury.

"About… our sister. The sister whom we assumed to be dead.."

The glass of water that the young brother carried, already broke into pieces after hearing this. His mouth opened slightly but no words came out to say a single thing.

Instantly his eyes flew to see his brother with almost unsure expressions. No, this can't be true!

That event took place almost twenty-five years ago!

"Y-You.. mean.."

"Our sister… is alive."
