825 Stratholme

After he activated the special effect of the skill, Lu Li turned into a little gray bat and flew away from the approaching Skeletons.

When the Skeletons began to search for him, Lu Li had already left battle and entered Stealth mode.

The location he wanted to find was inside the Scarlet Crusade castle and he had to take a detour. If he followed the usual path, he would have to defeat all the Bosses, except for the last one.

Even if he had his whole team here, he wouldn't be able to take down a single Boss. The level difference was made glaringly obvious in Stratholme.

The Bosses could instantly kill anyone in the Xin Xin Mercenary Group without using any skills.

Lu Li had never planned to initiate any Boss fights anyway.

However, there were bars blocking the path that he couldn't get through.

The monsters would become frantic as soon they saw someone attempting to open the locks. Even if you could defeat these monsters, you couldn't possibly open Unlock these bars without defeating the Bosses.

This was an unsolvable problem for most people.

The only reason that Lu Li didn't give up this quest was because he was confident in one of his items.

Hex's Protobelt (Dark Gold): Armour 46, Agility +30, Strength +12, 1 Slot. Special Effect 1: 12% Critical Hit. Special Effect 2: Atomization. Instant Cast. The user's body dissipates like fog and is forced into Stealth with a 20% increased Stealth effect. The user can walk through some obstacles. 2-minute cooldown. Special Effect 3: Magic Power Field. Instant Cast. By distorting the surrounded magic environment within 4 yards, all magic within the field is silenced for 1.5 seconds. 24-hour cooldown. Equipment Requirement: Level 45. Durability 164/164.

The Atomization effect not only allowed Lu Li to enter Stealth by force, but also granted him the ability to ignore some unit collision.

If Lu Li hadn't gone through rebirth, he would have died many times already. Besides the elite Skeletons, there was another type of monster that could kill him before he had a chance to react.

The cockroaches!

Although they were ordinary level 40 monsters, their threat was in their numbers.

They were also tiny and often hid in cracks, so players were often taken by surprise.

Of course, Lu Li had a strategy for dealing with them – he could boost his speed or use damage reduction.

The monsters in Stratholme were densely packed together. He would definitely run into trouble if he wasn't careful about his escape route. Lu Li couldn't even defeat some of the monsters in the dungeon in a one on one fight.

However, a previous player had discovered a secret solution to this problem – the holy water found in the supply boxes of the building.

Normally, the holy water of Stratholme was used to boost damage dealt towards the Undead, but if you painted some on your shoes, the cockroaches would be deterred.

Lu Li entered the dungeon, but he wasn't in a hurry to explore. Instead, he went into Stealth and hurried over to a corner to dig around the old supply boxes.

There were some loaves of bread inside – expired of course.

Some of the boxes contained potions, that were usable if you didn't mind their age.

If you were lucky, you would even be able to find some equipment in there, but most of them came with terrible Attributes.

The holy water drop rate was quite low and Lu Li also had to be careful of the rats or cockroaches that might pop out from the boxes. The rats weren't troublesome as they came in small groups, but if he accidentally opened a hive of cockroaches, that would be a disaster.

Fortunately, Lu Li found a bottle of holy water in his second supply box, which was enough for him.

With the protection of the holy water, Lu Li no longer had to worry about running into cockroaches.

Once he reached the first set of bars, he atomized and passed through.

The monsters nearby didn't even react.

After around forty to fifty minutes, Lu Li entered the Scarlet Crusade castle.

When he arrived in the File Hall, his next task was to steal the hidden portrait in front of Instructor Galford. Instructor Galford was a Boss.

At some point, he had been proud of his job, looking after the precious files of the Crusade. Before he died, he watched in horror as his precious files were completely destroyed. Balnazzar used this painful memory to instill a burning passion into his servant.

Galford was level 50 with four 400,000 HP and three high-damage skills.

Lu Li was no match for him, but he had to take the quest item from behind the portrait and safely escape with it. This would require at least thirty seconds.

Fortunately, he had come prepared.

Lu Li shook his head; it was hard to imagine how anyone else would complete this quest.

The Book of Ur (Gold): All Attributes +15, Critical Strike +10%. Special Effect 1: Summon a giant

Wolf, five-minute duration. Cooldown 24 hours. Special Effect 2: Worgen Transformation, instant

Cast. Transform into a Worgen, lasts for ten seconds. Cooldown 24 hours. Level Requirement 35,

Durability 120/120.

After the first wave of patrol monsters left, Lu Li flipped open The Book of Ur and as his fingers slid across the silver wolf on the page, a giant wolf appeared before him.

The giant wolf was a summoned pet. It was gentle and stayed low on the ground to show its loyalty.

Lu Li patted it on the head and pointed to the file hall as he said, "Buddy, go and lure out the one inside. Be careful not to die."

After this, Lu Li hid behind a pillar.

The giant wolf gave Lu Li a look of disgust, but still followed its master's instructions and raced into the File Hall.
