1587 The Death of Hakkar

Just like that, Jin'do had been kicked out of the scene.

After experiencing a baptism of fire in the first two stages, the third stage went by smoothly.

Actually, this Boss had led to quite a few team wipes. From the morning until now, there had already been more than 20 wipes. Zul'Gurub was originally positioned before the Molten Core and Blackwing's Nest. If a Boss could make Lu Li's team die over 20 times, this was already a really unbelievable event.

This was also the reason why Jin'do was constantly made weaker in future patches.

When Lu Li went into Zul'Gurub in his last life, Jin'do wouldn't transform the first target into a sheep. This also meant that if the Main Tank was able to hold down Aggro the entire time, the fight would be infinitely less difficult.

At the same time, he did not summon as many totems, and the totems' health and effectiveness were also a lot weaker. A single attack could destroy one. Any capable team wouldn't be bothered by the totems' effects at all.

As for the shadows, the number that was summoned was also heavily reduced.

Lu Li remembered that once upon a time he had entered with a rather eccentric team. During whole battle, they didn't attack their shadows – they just directly crushed the Boss to death.

"Quickly loot it and start the next one. The items dropped in this Instance Dungeon suck," Fat Monkey urged. He was already itching to get a First Clear on TV. Although he was humble when others praised him, he actually enjoyed getting praised by others.

"What's the rush? No one can get in front of us," Lu Li laughed. "If you think the stuff in this Instance Dungeon is bad, then don't ask for the things that drop."

"Boss, do you think I'm an idiot? This Boss was so hard to kill. We had to die over 20 times to get through – how could it not drop some good stuff," Fat Monkey said, feeling that he had been humiliated. Was his IQ that low that he could be taken in with a casual provocation?

"Dreamy, the mounts are going be taken. Still not gonna work faster?" Lu Li shouted.

"Skinless Lu," Remnant Dream muttered under breath in response she looted the body.

"Wow, lots of Strengthening Stones, and the Synthetic Gems aren't bad either. The Skill Book is for Shamans. Memories, sis, you're real lucky," Remnant Dream said with envy.

To begin with, Sakura Memories didn't have any reaction. Only after a moment did she call out in pleasant surprise, "Could it be the Enhanced Skill Book?"

To be called lucky by the Little Red Hand meant that it was no ordinary thing. At the moment, everyone was nearing completion in collecting Skill Books, so naturally, it must have been an Enhanced Skill Book.

"Tsk, getting a Skill Book with low points," Lu Li said, throwing over the Enhanced Skill Book with his face full of disdain.

"Haha, you're all jealous, right?" Sakura Memories laughed in extreme satisfaction. She was the only one who could compete with Hachi Chan in DKP, and she was the only one who wasn't interested in mounts. Also, she couldn't fight with a young girl student like Remnant Dream. That was why she hadn't gone over to contest for anything.

"Strengthening Stones aren't bad either. One of them is for Shamans; give it to Memories too…" Lu Li said.

"Wait a sec, we don't have to share stones, right?" Sakura Memories didn't understand.

"What the last Boss dropped shouldn't be bad, so we need to divide it. You're already getting so much. How are you still so petty?" Lu Li was speechless. He realised that Sakura Memories was treating accumulating points almost like it was becoming her hobby. She didn't lack points; she just liked to see her points continue to grow.

Apart from that stone, there were also two other reasonable ones. Of the Warriors, World's Best Friend took it for a fairly cheap price. The Mages, however, bid for a price of 60 points as there were a lot of them and the competition was relatively intense. This sort of situation where someone took something for a few points while others fought to the death over another thing was very common in Dawn.

Gold equipment was casually distributed and the Dark Gold equipment was stored.

Lastly, there was the Epic equipment.

Jin'do's Evil Eye!

Healing equipment, Necklace , Epic – these three descriptions destined this equipment's competitiveness.

In the end, Darkness took this item.

Jin'do's Bag of Whammies!

This was used by Mages, along with DPS roles and healers. In terms of attributes, this was an even higher top-level piece of equipment. The only drawback was that it was an Off-Hand weapon, which could only be used by people with a single-handed magic weapon.

However, most Mages used staffs – relatively few used Spell Swords or daggers.

That was why Sesame Rice Ball didn't spend much to purchase this piece of equipment.

Two more were dropped that Ruling Sword took. No one from Drizzle Court or Peerless received equipment, but Lu Li didn't feel guilty about this at all. Those on his side received equipment and paid with points, but Drizzle Court and Peerless City's members kept theirs. Next time they encountered worthwhile items, they could step forward and bid for them.

Next, there were set equips, but these weren't as good as the previous two pieces of Epic equipment.

The last Boss was Hakkar.

The Blood God and the Spirit Reaper – from the looks of it, these names didn't have much in common, but they were both of the one and the same spirit: Hakkar. His descendants, the Wind Snakes, could be found in every nook and cranny of Kalimdor. Their everyday activities included attacking adventurers as they shuttled back and forth throughout the world, and getting attacked by those adventurers. Back when Lu Li was around level 50 or so, they had already fought in hand-to-hand combat with the avatar of Hakkar in the Sunken Temple. He also encountered the followers of the evil 'Hakkari' cult.

Because Lu Li and Hachi Chan had been tricked by Jin'do pretending to be Yeh'Kinya, Hakkar's true identity also appeared in the capital of the ancient troll empire, Zul'Gurub.

In the Instance Dungeon, it was just Hakkar's Faded Image. Otherwise, he would be a demigod, which would exhaust Lu Li as he would try in vain to defeat him.

Lu Li still had a quest on him from the Trolls. They needed to kill Hakkar's Faded Image to stop Hakkar from coming down to the Azeroth mainland.

Hakkar was actually quite easy, so easy that Lu Li felt they could finish him off in two or three attempts.

According to convention, they didn't need to drink potions in their initial attempt. They were just getting a feel for the Boss' strategy. Everyone would realise very soon that this boss had four skills, just like Jin'Do.

Hakkar would Drain Life every one and a half minutes, stealing the players' HP to be returned to himself.

The basic damage of Tainted Blood wasn't actually wasn't considered high, but it could be spread to teammates. This curse was Hakkar's most evil skill. If you weren't careful about your position, then it wouldn't be uncommon for the entire team to die.

There was also Mind Control, which was similar to one of the totems of Jin'do.

After the first 10 minutes of a battle, Hakkar would enter into Berserk mode and his Attack would be increased by a frightening amount. He could kill a whole team of twenty instantly.

That was why the battle had to finish before 10 minutes was up.

As long as their DPS was enough, finishing the battle in 10 minutes was no problem at all. Lu Li and his team all had a few pieces of Blackwing's Nest equipment on them, so this was very achievable. As such, Hakkar's demise was simply an expected outcome.
