Chapter 389 - Sudden Turn Of The Situation!

Chapter 389: Sudden Turn of the Situation!

"There is still nothing good for us," Lily, who had been staying silent all this time on Aakesh's head, chimed in after seeing no good pills in the rows.

"What do you want?" Aakesh smilingly asked.

He could make direct deals with the system for the things he wanted, so it didn't matter whether the store had the products at that time or not.

Lily fell silent in response to Aakesh's question. She then seriously began thinking about what she wanted.

After thinking for several seconds, she finally broke the silence and answered, "Nothing for now!"

"Whenever you want anything, you can tell me. A father never rejects their daughter's demands," Aakesh smilingly joked Lily as he gently brought Lily down and squeezed the already tiny face she had.

"Hiss!" Lily only hissed in response, but she didn't attempt to move away or stop Aakesh.

"Let's go for training," Aakesh commented and stopped squeezing Lily.

Lily didn't speak anything in response and jumped back to her favorite place.

[Ding!]

Aakesh was going to teleport to the selection area, but before he could do it, a sudden mechanical alert brought him to a halt.

"What happened?" Lily asked, seeing the sudden stopping of Aakesh.

"An alert from the system," Aakesh replied.

[Host, please see the quest screen for your new quest.]

The next moment, a blue screen containing the detail of the new quest appeared in front of him.

[Mission Objective: Sale of Products,

Requirement: Since you have already completed your previous quest, it's time for you to go big for the store, let other customers get the benefits of the store products sold by the store,

Number of weapons you need to sell: 1,000,000,000,

Number of customers/hours for Training arena: 100,000,000 customers or 1,000,000,000 training hours(think to expand),

Number of pills you need to sell: 1,000,000,000,

Hours in Panagea: 1,000,000,000,

Days required: 10,000 Weeks,

Mission reward: A new product! Hundred million new Virtual portals! Addition of Immortal grade weapons! Addition of Immortal and Ascendance level pills on the pill shelf!

Failure Punishment: The shutdown of the store for a year!]

Aakesh couldn't help but feel shocked, seeing the enormous content of the quest.

Similar to the quest he had just completed, he had requirements to fill. But unlike the previous objective, he needed to fulfill four requirements. He first needed to sell 1,000,000,000 weapons. He needed to sell a similar number of pills and hours in Panagea to achieve the other two conditions.

As for the fourth and the last requirement, he needed to either have 100,000,000 customers for the training area, or he needed to sell 1,000,000,000 training hours.

Similar to the last time, there was the compressed detail next to the training hour's requirement. Aakesh then thought of expanding it. The next moment, another blue window containing the details of the training hours appeared on top of the previous screen.

[1,000,000,000(trivial, normal, moderate, difficult) training hours = 100,000,000 Immortal training hours = 10,000,000 Gods & Demons training hours.]

It only explained the conversion rate between the training hours in the quest. If Aakesh could only have 10,000,000 Gods & Demons training hours, his requirement of completing 1,000,000,000 training hours would get completed.

His eyes then fell upon the time limit to complete the quest. Unlike the last mission objective, where he had gotten 180 days, the duration for the quest, similar to the requirements, grew severalfold. He now had 10,000 weeks to achieve these outrageous conditions.

The duration of 10,000 weeks could be converted into around two hundred years, so Aakesh had a lot of time left to fulfill all four requirements.

Even though the requirement was outrageous, the similar was the case for the duration.

There was a limit on every product Aakesh sold, but he still felt confident of fulfilling all four requirements. Especially when he had plans to do an annual event, which would help him get an increase in traffic for the store every year.

His eyes then fell on the reward section. For the first time, the rewards didn't seem to be worth the grandness of the quest.

A hundred million virtual portals or an addition of a new product looked good at first glance. But when Aakesh compared it with the outrageous requirements he had to fulfill, it felt nothing.

He then looked at the failure's penalty. Similar to the reward section, the punishment didn't seem harsh as the last one.

"Hey, system, why would you give me such outrageous requirements to fulfill while giving such measly rewards?" Aakesh asked the system to satiate his curiosity.

[Host, the quest gets randomly generated depending upon various factors.]

The next moment, the system mechanically and emotionlessly answered.

It was a similar answer Aakesh had gotten from the system last time when he asked it.

As for the reward, the system didn't respond anything. Instead, there were some changes on the first blue screen.

[...,

Hint: If you complete the quest in half the duration of the quest, you would be eligible for the bonus reward. The worth of the bonus would only increase with the less time you take to complete all the four requirements.]

To satisfy Aakesh, the system added a hint of bonus reward in the quest screen.

Seeing the change on the screen, Aakesh had no idea what to say.

When he had noticed an alteration on the quest screen, he had expected an increase in rewards, but here Aakesh got what he had already believed to be there.

Lily silently watched all of this happening without having any interest in giving her comment.

Aakesh then stopped thinking about the quest and its rewards since he had plenty of time to complete it. Similarly, he trusted the system on the reward option.

"Let's go!" He then told Lily. The next moment, both of them disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection area.

(The end of volume 1.)

A/N: With this chapter volume 1 of the book ends. Many may think it's random, but I always had the plan to announce the end of the volume when this kind of quest would arrive.

Thanks for reading the book!
