Chapter 331 - Battle(1)

Chapter 331: Battle(1)

"Let's go for today's training," Aakesh told Lily, who was relaxing on his head.

Another day for the store had already arrived at an end since the darkness won against the light again, bringing night into the lives of citizens of the Bisan Kingdom.

"Okay," Lily responded in her childlike voice.

The next moment, both of them disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection area.

Lily only had a single training area for her, so she selected it and disappeared from the selection Area. Aakesh, on the other hand, picked up his bow first from the weapons section and then selected the environment he had in his mind.

The next moment, Aakesh appeared in a familiar hall. It was the same hall, where he had trained yesterday to control his strength, but it was an upgraded version of it.

Aakesh had the same bullseye as yesterday in front of him, which would release an arrow. Aakesh would need to match the strength to pass. If he failed to match, he would either get his throat pierced or die, depending on the situation.

If Aakesh succeeded, another bullseye would appear, and then Aakesh would need to match the strength of two arrows at the same time. If he succeeded twice, then another would appear.

It would follow a similar pattern throughout the training. Aakesh would need to match the strength the same number of times as the number of bullseyes.

If Aakesh died, then he would start from one. If Aakesh got his throat pierced, he would get a second chance to continue. If it happened the second time, then Aakesh would need to restart.

"Whoosh!"

The round began, and right away the bullseye released an arrow.

Aakesh wasn't slow as he took out an ordinary arrow from the quiver tied to his shoulder, nocked the arrow, stretched the bowstring up to his nose using the left hand, and shot.

"Clang!"

The sound of a metallic clash rang in the hall as both the arrows clashed.

The next moment, both the arrows disintegrated together since Aakesh had successfully matched the strength.

Right away, a new similar bullseye appeared right next to the first one.

Both the bullseyes released their respective arrows right away. Aakesh wasn't slow either, he repeated the same process as last time, but this time there were two arrows.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

Similar to the last time, all four arrows disintegrated. Aakesh easily matched the strength this time because both bullseyes had released their respective arrows with the same strength.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

The sound of continuous metallic clashes rang in the hall as Aakesh shot one arrow after another to match the strength of all thirteen arrows before they reached him.

It had been ten minutes since Aakesh began the training round, and until now, Aakesh had failed only twice, once when there were three bullseyes, while the second time when the number of bullseyes had reached nine.

He had then restarted and reached up to this stage with thirteen bullseyes.

All bullseyes released their respective arrows with a random strength, so it wasn't easy for Aakesh to match it. But due to yesterday's training for more than fifty minutes had helped him in a big deal.

Aakesh was currently at his twelfth release. If he were to succeed once more after this, the number of bullseyes would reach fourteen.

"Whoosh!"

It seemed Aakesh was fortunate and unfortunate at the same time. Unfortunate because he failed to match one of the arrows, and fortunate because his arrow had gotten overwhelmed.

If the opposite had happened, Aakesh would have to restart again.

Now, he needed to face the twelfth release again.

Time flew by, and thirty more minutes had passed.

"Finally!" Aakesh commented as he completed the fiftieth release of the fifty bullseyes.

Aakesh had already decided to stop the training when the number of bullseyes exceeded fifty, so it was now time for him to exit this training.

Even though the training took more time than Aakesh had wanted, he still was happy with the result.

He had failed several times after breaching the mark of thirty bullseyes, so completing his required limit in forty minutes was nothing less than a good result.

No new bullseye appeared after Aakesh completed the requirement as he had already left the hall.

Aakesh then appeared in the selection area. He still hadn't fought the opponent today, so Aakesh selected the environment, and the next moment, he appeared in the familiar arena in the midst of cheers.

The familiar blue screen appeared in front of Aakesh, and as usual, he chose the second round since he still hadn't been able to win it with a bow.

The next moment, the familiar opponent appeared in the arena, with his sword already sheathed.

"Ding!"

The next moment, a bell rang in the arena and announced the start of the battle.

"Clang!"

A sound of metallic clash rang as Aakesh's arrow clashed with the opponent's sword.

Aakesh had decided to push the opponent today, so with every arrow he shot, he took a step forward. Since the opponent wasn't some weak being, his steps were small, but nonetheless, he moved forward.

The opponent also tried to push forward to stop the momentum Aakesh was getting with his shots. But unfortunately for him, Aakesh's every shot was released by random strength, so it became difficult for the opponent to counter every arrow with the same strategy.

Suddenly Aakesh stopped moving. He aimed his bow at the sky and shot.

The opponent was taken aback by the sudden move of Aakesh, but he still was quick enough to understand what was going on. Aakesh had activated one of the two skills he had.

"Whoosh!"

As aakesh released the energy arrow, it flew, tearing through the air at the sky as if it aimed to pierce the sky.

The next moment, hundreds of thousands of arrows covered the sky, bringing darkness to the arena.

"Hmph!" The opponent coldly scoffed as he raised his sword in the air, and the next moment, a projection of a white sword appeared above him.

The projection then also flew to fight the arrows.

Aakesh expressionlessly looked at the white sword aiming to fight his arrows head-on.

Aakesh suddenly waved his hands, and the arrows that had covered the sky vanished.

Before the opponent could even understand what had happened, an arrow came at him, threatening to pierce him.
