Chapter 310 - Result?

Chapter 310: Result?

Butesh tried to calm himself down, seeing the numerous scars and bite marks spread across the bodies of those three humans.

He was currently 248 years old, and he had spent all his life in the protection of his clan. Even though his clan has prepared him for the experiences people face outside, the scene in front of him still felt too much.

He couldn't help but feel sympathy for those three. In his mind, he knew humans treated the beastmen the same as the three in front of him faced, but he still felt angry since those three were humans, the same race as him.

He took several deep breaths, and only after his mind had calmed down did he begin making plans for the battle.

Since it wasn't a war or the attack of humanity on the beastmen, neighboring beastmen wouldn't join the dogmen in the battle. So, Butesh made plans considering that factor in his mind.

As for the situation when other beastmen joined the dogmen, it would be the worst case, and Butesh would've almost lost any chance of succeeding.

A few minutes later, Butesh took a deep breath and entered the house.

Since it was an open house, the dogmen had already noticed him standing outside their house. But since Butesh was a low-level adventurer and the town of Aurora was also a low-level area, he had the privilege that no one would try to disturb or talk to him if he didn't take the initiative.

So the dogmen inside the house ignored Butesh and continued doing what they were doing, but now that Butesh had set foot inside their house without asking for permission, it was akin to attacking them. Butesh lost his privilege, as the dogmen stopped doing what they were doing, growled in threat, and charged at him, aiming to rip him apart into pieces.

Butesh shuddered in fear, seeing the dogmen growling and charging at him, but the next moment he calmed down as fear was only going to end terribly for him.

Butesh didn't slow down, seeing the charge, but increased his speed. He was walking earlier, but now it looked like he was running.

The house was only a few hundred meters long, so it only took a few seconds for Butesh and the dogmen to clash.

The dogmen used their numbers to overwhelm Butesh right from the start.

Butesh kicked the closest dogmen to him in the gut, which resulted in a painful howl, while the other dogmen became angrier, seeing one of their family members in pain.

Butesh knew he couldn't get completely surrounded by the dogmen, as even in one on one, an average dogman was stronger than a human. Here when there were more than thirty dogmen charging at him, he needed to attack, defend, and move at the same time, which only looked easier while thinking.

After kicking the closest dogmen in its gut, Butesh took a step back to give him some more space.

He then repeated the process of kicking the gut and taking one step back. But since he wasn't in an endless space, a barricade finally arrived when he reached the wall of the house.

Until now, he hadn't been able to land a serious injury on any dogmen, and fortunately for him, he also hadn't gotten any injury.

His movements were quick enough for the dogmen to stay away from any bite or slash due to his experience in fighting in the real world, but not enough for an overwhelming advantage over the dogmen.

The dogmen grinned, seeing the intruder had trapped himself.

Butesh, on the other hand, also smiled since he already had a plan in his mind.

The wall was only the size of him, so he easily jumped up on it. The dogmen also followed him, but before they could land on the wall, Butesh had already jumped on the head of one of the dogmen, saying something which sounded barking to him.

The sudden jump took the dogmen by surprise, and with a loud crashing sound, he crashed on the ground. Since Butesh didn't have much strength, he wasn't able to cause a life-threatening injury, but still, since the dogmen took the attack directly on the head, it lost its consciousness with blood leaking out due to the crash.

Butesh didn't even wait to see the injury as he ran while the dogmen chased him. His direction was the newborn puppies of the dogmen.

Time flew by, and finally, the three hours of the third group in Panagea was over.

"Did you complete your quest?" Tinesh asked Butesh after she and her group came out of the virtual portals.

Butesh's face turned red, remembering the scenes of his one-sided battles with the dogmen.

After jumping down the wall, Butesh had thought of taking the puppies as captive, and then he would use them to fight the dogmen. Remembering the scene after that, Butesh felt both fear and embarrassment.

The dogmen had turned wild in rage after that, and they began fighting like it was their last battle. Butesh couldn't survive long to face the fury of the dogmen and lost his life.

Still remembering, the scene of dogmen ripping him apart and the pain at that moment sent chills down his spine. While he felt fear, his other group members laughed hearing his experience of the quest.

Tinesh, who also had the same quest as Butesh, but she needed to save three beastmen, completed her quest successfully, without even dying for once.

Butesh, on the other hand, not only died four times but also failed the quest. Before his fourth death, one of the two male slaves had gotten caught in the rage of the dogmen and lost his life, making Butesh fail the quest.

Fortunately for him, when he died for the fourth time after failing the quest, he got the chance to change his reviving location, or he would've died several more times.

His group members only stopped joking when they heard about his failure of the quest. Since all of them had a purpose for entering Panagea, each success would only benefit their clan.

Tinesh, who had a mother as a clan elder, took the greatest responsibility in the group and acted as the leader of the current group.

"Don't worry, there are still two chances left to complete the first mandatory quest," Tinesh told Butesh since she didn't want him to become discouraged by a single failure.
