Chapter 274 - Training Area

Chapter 274: Training Area

Veenesh was a bow user, as the majority of members in his clan were.

After paying for the training area, Veenesh couldn't wait to see the effects of training. Even though he had already lived for hundreds of thousands of years, he still couldn't control his excitement thinking about the effect since he had paid such a huge amount.

After Aakesh explained to him the details of how to enter the training area, he thanked Aakesh and then went to the weapons room.

After entering the weapons room, his eyes fell upon the murals painted on the wall. Especially the mural where a single man was aiming his bow at the sky while countless high-level creatures were coming at him.

The painting alone sent him chills. He felt as if he was the aim, not the countless creatures. He also believed that if he truly were the aim, he wouldn't survive it.

One second passed, two seconds passed, three seconds passed,...forty seconds passed,...three minutes passed,...fifty minutes passed.

In a flash, fifty minutes had passed. Veenesh's eyes remained fixed on the mural for the last fifty minutes.

Finally, after staring at it for fifty-six minutes, did his eyes moved away from it. While fifty-seven minutes had passed in reality, he didn't even feel like a second had passed. He believed that he had just entered the room and only took a glance at the mural.

"What am I missing?" He murmured as his eyes moved from the murals and fell upon the circle of pillars.

One of the innermost pillars signified the bow. After Veenesh found it, he did what Aakesh had told him to do.

The next moment, a golden light appeared out of nowhere and engulfed him in the form of a barrier. Veenesh couldn't see this scene as his consciousness had already entered the infinite space in the training area.

The customers buying or checking weapons around the pillars ignored the scene as if it was nothing special since Veenesh wasn't the only one; there were more than a hundred customers around different pillars in the same situation.

After appearing inside the training area, Veenesh chose the human race for the first battle.

Since he himself was a human, he wanted to start with his race, and only after defeating his human counterpart would he choose another race.

For the battlefield, Veenesh selected the open and moving battlefield. Both opponents would face off in an environment free of any obstacle while continuously moving. As for the ground, he chose randomly.

The next moment, he appeared in a vast desert with the sun right at the top of him, making even him, an Immortal, feel the heat.

Since there was no idea of comfort when it came to training, Veenesh adjusted himself to the environment right away. Soon, a man carrying the same appearance as him appeared in front of him.

Both Veenesh and the man carried the same bow, clothes, and the same cultivation level. It was almost as if Veenesh was looking at his mirror.

There was only one difference between them. Despite being of the same cultivation level, intermediate Heavenly Monarch, Veenesh could feel the danger of life.

For a second, the thought that he doesn't even stand a chance appeared in his mind, but since the training area had an automatic effect of making his mind clear, the thought disappeared right away.

Since there was no concept of death here, Veenesh took the first move.

High-level archers don't need to carry quivers since they can directly manipulate energy to create arrows.

Veenesh was also a high-level archer, so he only carried his bow. He aimed while running left.

The opponent, seeing Veenesh aiming, aimed and ran right.

"Boom!"

The sound of an explosion rang in the area as both arrows exploded after they collided.

If the explosion were to occur in the real world, it would've destroyed several Kingdoms combined like the Bisan Kingdom.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

The sound of continuous explosions rang in the area as arrows after arrows clashed.

Only a few seconds had passed since the battle began, but Veenesh was already on the losing end. Until now, he has been the aggressor in every shot, but the opponent always not only negated his attack but overpowered it.

They hadn't even used an arrow skill until now; even then, Veenesh was in trouble.

"Boom!"

Another loud explosion rang in the area after the opponent negated his attack, but this time before Veenesh could shoot the next arrow, the arrow, after destroying his shot, hadn't dissipated even a little bit and was coming toward him.

Veenesh wasn't quick enough to dodge or shoot another arrow to negate it, so he hopelessly looked at the arrow approaching him. The next moment, it clashed with him and pierced his heart.

Since Veenesh was Immortal, he could live even after losing his heart or head, but since the opponent was also Immortal, his body couldn't resist the energy, and Veenesh lost his life.

Time flew by.

Since the time here flowed differently than in the real world. Here, Veenesh had 1000 hours to train.

Seven hundred and eighty-eight hours had passed since Veenesh had appeared here.

He had decided to choose a human race opponent first and would choose another race after defeating it, but until now, he had faced tens of thousands of battles with the same guy, but still, he wasn't even able to draw, let alone win.

"Puchi!"

A sound rang as the arrow pierced Veenesh's heart for the umpteenth time. The next moment, Veenesh revived, and the same choice appeared in front of him.

For a moment, he thought of selecting another race, but he decided against it. If he couldn't even win against someone of the same race, then how would he be able to defeat higher-level races who were more talented than humans.

Making his decision, he chose the same options again.

The next moment, he appeared on a marble floor, and on top of that, the floor was slippery, creating a chance of him falling while in the battle.

Time flew by, and finally, the thousandth hour arrived to an end, bringing the end of training for Veenesh.

Unfortunately for him, he wasn't even able to draw a battle with his opponent; he still was satisfied with his training since he had gotten several times better than the previous him who hadn't entered the training area.
