Chapter 180 - (2)The Top Three(6)

Chapter 180: The Top Three(6)

Unaware of the time, the top seven participants continued to fight the impersonator.

But the crowd watching the event knew how much time it had been since the last battle began. In total, 51 years have passed since the event began.

Time flew by, and a few more months passed.

"Damn it! Not after coming this close," George cursed in frustration as he lied on the ground after having several severe injuries.

The impersonator also had injuries, but he was in better shape than George.

The impersonator ignored George's frustrated expressions and took a step forward. The next moment, he stood right in front of George, who didn't even have enough strength to stand up due to the wounds.

The impersonator looked down at George, and the next moment, a malevolent expression appeared on his face.

He raised his hands, and several black energy balls began emerging.

He then pushed his hand into the face of George. The next moment, energy balls started bombarding his face.

Soon, when all the energy balls burst on the face of George, only his body below his face remained, while he had died by the first blast itself.

George became the first of the seven final participants to fail the gold dungeon. The next moment, he appeared on the platform, where all the participants who had gotten disqualified before him were sleeping.

Before he could know the reason for their sleeping, his eyelids began turning heavy, and the next moment, he joined the others on the platform.

The next moment in his mind, six names appeared. They were the names of the remaining participants.

He thought of Evelyn, and the next moment, he found the scene of Evelyn battling the impersonator appearing inside his head, as if he was there himself.

Evelyn was currently battling against the impersonator, and her situation didn't look bad.

She had numerous injuries across her body, but the impersonator also had the same amount of wounds.

But since none of them had any severe wounds, the battle was sure to continue for a few more months.

George couldn't help but feel embarrassed for getting out this early, while his girlfriend could continue the battle for some more months.

Time flew by, and some more months passed, taking the total time for the event to be 52 years.

"My queen, use the Dark Blast," The Hygar requested Maria.

Maria had been following Hygar's suggestions as he had a better sense of the battle than her.

Maria bit her finger and started drawing a magical symbol in the air.

When she completed it, suddenly, darkness engulfed the entire area. The next moment, the darkness started returning to a single point.

When only a single point of darkness remained, it released a pure black beam that struck the impersonator.

The impersonator partially dodged the beam as it brushed past his shoulder instead of his heart.

It caused severe injuries to the impersonator while Maria coughed blood since the skill demanded a large amount of energy.

"Clang!"

The sound of metal clashing rang in the area as Eris's spear tried to pierce the impersonator after finally getting a chance, but the spear failed to break his skin.

"Let's see how long you can continue," Eris coldly murmured as suddenly a golden light engulfed him and then the spear in his hands.

"Puchi!"

The next moment, the sound of piercing rang in the area as the spear shrouded in golden light pierced through the heart of the impersonator.

Suddenly, alarms rang in Eris's brain as the impersonator smiled instead of feeling pain after getting his heart pierced.

Eris didn't know what was wrong, but he found out the next second as he coughed out blood.

He finally knew what was wrong as a sudden pain emerged in his chest, and his clothes above the chest got wet with his red blood.

"Ugh," He groaned in pain as he backed two steps away. He finally knew why he suddenly got the chance to hit the vitals of the impersonator. Instead of him creating the situation, it was the impersonator who allowed him to do it.

Since it was a severe wound, Eris couldn't let it stay for long. He needed to heal himself, but he knew the impersonator would never give him this chance, so he took out a talisman from his pocket.

"Give me a moment of relief," He murmured as he crushed the talisman.

The next moment, a pure white light emerged out of the shield. It flew to the impersonator, and in less than a split second, it engulfed him.

The impersonator tried to move off the light's way, but it followed him and, in the end, engulfed the entirety of him.

The next moment, the light turned into a wall that covered the entirety of him so that he couldn't move.

Eris ignored it as he took a tiny bottle out of his pocket. There was only a drop of strange green liquid in it.

Eris didn't wait for the impersonator to break through the bound. He opened the bottle and directly drank it.

The next moment, his face turned weird as he had never tasted anything so bad in his life. After he drank it, a green hue appeared around him, and the injuries he had begun healing at an unprecedented rate.

His heart had only healed half when he heard an angry roar.

Eris looked in the direction of the roar to find the impersonator glaring at him with red eyes.

Suddenly a red light engulfed the impersonator, and the next second, he disappeared from where he was standing a moment earlier.

Before Eris could find out what happened, he suddenly sensed danger to his life, so he subconsciously turned his body to the left.

The Void Beasts were a calm group of beasts. They only got angry in two situations. First, when someone is trying to harm the dimension they're supposed to protect, and second when someone tries to bound them.

They love nothing more than freedom and hate nothing more than someone trying to bind them.

Time flew by, and a few more days passed.

In the past few days, Eris had only been dodging the attacks of the impersonator, as a single attack that he had failed to dodge had taken his left shoulder away, so Eris concentrated everything into dodging the strikes.

This angry impersonator was both advantageous and disadvantageous for Eris. Since if even a single strike successfully landed on his vitals, he was sure to die, but this mode was also taking a lot of energy from the impersonator. If he succeeded in surviving until the end, he would be able to kill the impersonator and clear the gold dungeon.

One strike of the impersonator brushed past the head of Eris, and in response to the simple brush, he lost his ear and half of the flesh, making his skull appear visible to the naked eye.

Time flew by, as Eris had wanted, he was able to survive the angry onslaught of the impersonator.

After the rage mode ended, Eris didn't even have to kill the impersonator. He fell to the ground and disintegrated as he had used the last ounce of his energy in rage mode.

After the impersonator died, no red egg appeared in its place. Instead, a golden key floating in the air appeared.

Eris ignored it as he was currently gasping for breath. All the exhaustion Eris had accumulated while dodging the attacks over the past few days culminated in him crashing on the ground.

Only after around an hour did he get enough strength to stand up and grab the key.

The moment he grabbed the key, a golden light emerged out of the key and engulfed him.

A few moments later, all the exhaustion and injuries disappeared, and he became the same as when he had entered the dungeon.

"Finally, I won," He smilingly murmured as he noticed a door two steps away from him.

There was a keyhole in the door, and he understood the key he had in his hand was the key to get outside.

He took a step forward and put the key into the keyhole.

"Click!"

The next moment, the sound of clicking rang as Eris pushed the key.

Suddenly, the key disappeared into the door, and the door opened with a loud sound.

After the door fully opened, he took a step forward and appeared in an empty space, where instead of darkness, light shrouded it.

He didn't even know for how long did he stay there since there was no point of time there.

Finally, after waiting for an unknown amount of time, a blue light engulfed him.

The next moment, he appeared on the platform with the other participants.
