Juin noticed that Lucifer's tone was a little off, so he did not say anything else about Aristocratic Mages. For a proud and haughty demon king like Lucifer, the fact that he did not have one must have been extremely humiliating to him.

With a sigh, Juin turned to look at the house. The orange-red light from the sun setting on the horizon made the house even eerier, especially on account of what had just happened earlier.

"Lucifer… those bones…" Juin mumbled when he recalled those small skulls that he saw earlier.

Unsurprisingly, Lucifer replied with a nonchalant attitude, "None of your business. Let's just go."

Juin glanced at the demon king, who was in the process of walking away, and he found himself unable to just walk away from the house.

He felt bad for those deceased children, whose parents might never know what had happened to them. And when he thought about their parents, he inadvertently thought about his own as well.

"They didnt abandon me…" Juin mumbled sadly to himself. Glancing at the dead creature on the ground, he clenched his fists tightly in anger. "They were killed… All to fulfill the wish of a group of lunatics."

With Lucifer's method earlier, Juin saw the last scene of his parents' death through the eyes of Jim Mack. One of the cultists, who was hiding behind the door, cloaked by darkness, slit his mother's throat when she was bending over his cot to pacify baby Juin, who was actually woken up by the strange men who were hiding in his room.

Once they were done with his mother, Jim Mack proceeded to kill his father, who shared a resemblance to Juin but with glasses, who was heating up a milk bottle for him in the kitchen.

Juin's father had put up a fight, but he was no match to Jim Mack, who at that time, was a strapping, muscular young man, and he eventually lost the fight to a stab in the heart.

"They loved me…" Teardrops appeared at the edge of Juin's eyes as he thought about the parents that he never knew and would never know now.

Meanwhile, Lucifer merely glanced at Juin nonchalantly. He should remind Juin that those weren't his parents; they were the parents of the human Juin, the original owner of this body.

And Juin was just a second soul that successfully merged with the body, taking it as his own. Biologically, they were related, but in actual fact, they weren't not.

However, in the end, Lucifer decided not to say anything.

He merely turned his head around to give Juin some privacy, and as he did so, he saw a small shadow hiding among the trees near the pathway, and he immediately called out, "Juin! Someone's watching us!"

Juin turned over just as the shadow turned and ran away.

"Chase after him, you idiot!" Lucifer snapped.

Dazed for a second, Juin quickly ran after the shadow, who wasn't running quickly enough, and when he caught him, he blinked a couple of times before confirming, "David?"

"Let go of me!" David yelled as he tried to pull his hand away, which was being held on by Juin. "Monster! Dad! Mum!!!" he yelled toward the direction of his house, but there was no way anyone could hear him from this distance.

Even so, Juin felt the need to cover David's mouth with his hand. "David, stop shouting!"

When David looked at Juin with fearful eyes, Juin was taken aback, and he quickly consoled David by saying, "I'll release your mouth if you don't shout. I won't hurt you, David… Promise me you won't shout."

David thought about it for a few seconds before nodding. However, the moment Juin released his mouth, the kid started shouting again.

"Mum! Dad! He's going to kill me! He's going--"

David struggled when Juin placed his hand over his mouth again. "Mmonster!"

"Let's take him to the cliff, Juin…" Lucifer suddenly suggested.

"What?"

"I think he has an inkling what happened that day… Let's go to the cliff."

Juin looked at David, and after a few seconds, he nodded.

The trip to the cliff wasn't easy, especially since it was getting dark quickly. By the time they arrived, the sun had completely set, making the cliff to appear even more dangerous than day time.

And the fact that David was struggling the whole way made it harder for Juin to drag him while muffling his mouth at the same time.

"Gosh, David! I won't hurt you!" Juin groaned as he released his left hand from David's mouth and his right hand from the boy's wrist. The moment he released him, David quickly took a few steps backward toward the cliff.

"Urgh…" Juin sighed as he wiped his wet hand on his shirt. "Seriously, D, I have never hurt you before. Why are you so afraid? And stop walking backward! It's dangerous!"

David gulped as he glanced back, and he quickly stopped himself. He wanted to run, but there was nowhere he could run off to. "A-are you trying to kill me? I-I didn't tell anyone! I really didn't!"

Juin raised a hand. He was just trying to scratch the back of his head since he was totally confused by David's fear, but his action startled the younger boy, who then took a few steps backward again.

"Stop moving!" Juin quickly called out. David was just a few steps away from plunging to his death, and Juin did not want that. He quickly took two steps backward. "Look, D, I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way. Can you please tell me what did I do? Because I really have no idea about anything!"

A heavy gust of wind suddenly blew past as David stared at Juin with absolute fear in his eyes while shivering heavily.

"Did he really see something back then?" Juin mumbled under his breathe.

"H-How c-could you not remember?" David stuttered. "You killed him!"

David didn't really take the medicines that his father gave him, having stored them in his mouth. The moment his father left the room, he spat the medicines out and sat quietly on his bed. When he heard the soft sound of door being opened, he quickly stood by the mirror and watched as Juin walked toward Jim Mack's house.

Wanting to confirm something, David hesitated for a moment before sneaking out of the house and following after Juin. He wanted to confirm something, to confirm that he wasn't crazy and what he saw three years ago was real.

Up until now, he had never mentioned anything to anyone because he knew that no one would believe him. Hence, he kept everything to himself. But now that Juin was back unexpectedly, David wanted to confirm it---that Juin was an evil monster in human skin.

When David finally arrived at Jim Mack's house, there was a loud noise coming from within the house, and the next thing he knew, a hideous creature broke the wall of the second floor and fell out, followed by Juin, who jumped out and landed on the ground effortlessly.

That was the second floor!

Startled, he then hid among the trees and watched as fire mysteriously appeared and burned the creature's legs, and to his horror, Juin suddenly dug his fingers into the creature's skull.
