Chapter 79 - 79 Stronger Than a Tiger

79 Stronger Than a Tiger

The Zhao clan was all waiting for Zhao Chuchu at the foot of the mountain, wanting her to treat the clan head’s jaw.

However, they couldn’t even make a sound until Zhao Chuchu had walked past them and was long gone.

A few years back, one of the village hunters was eaten alive by the same tiger.

Now that Zhao Chuchu had fought and killed it, they wouldn’t want to mess with her anymore. There was no way they could be stronger than that tiger.

The only one who had a different emotion in their eyes was Madam Yang.

She was badly regretting her decision to allow Zhao Chuchu to cut ties with them.

However, she couldn’t do anything about it. There was no way she could just stop Zhao Chuchu and demand her to hand the tiger over.

The news of Zhao Chuchu carrying a dead tiger on her should soon spread throughout the village.

When Zhao Chuchu returned home and tossed the tiger corpse down in the garden, Xie Heng, who was sitting under the eave, saw it and his lips twitched a little.

“Did you kill it?”

“Yes. But, I have better news than that!”

Zhao Chuchu didn’t say what the news was right away. Instead, she approached him and put the basket down before carefully taking three herbs out of it.

“I found the Sky Heart Herb!”

Xie Heng immediately shifted his attention to the weird-looking plants. The front of the leaves was red, while the back was white. The soil on their roots was still wet, showing that they had only been dug.

The herb was one of the hardest to get.

“This is way more valuable than the tiger!” Zhao Chuchu put them back into the basket. “How much are you going to pay for them?”

Xie Heng was about to thank Zhao Chuchu when he heard the second sentence and almost couldn’t hold his laugh back.

“How much do you want?”

“Hmm… Let’s wait until I’ve completed the cure.” Zhao Chuchu was just teasing the man. “We only need two of them. I’m planning to sell the last one. We’re going to need a lot more money from now on.”

“You’re the one who found them. You decide.” Xie Heng paused for a few seconds. “Where did you find them?”

“Do you know about the family of four wild boars deep in the mountain? It’s around there.”

Xie Heng thought about it and shook his head. “Will we be able to find the same thing in other mountains?”

“I’m not sure, but I don’t think the chances are high.”

Zhao Chuchu put the basket to one side and started to process the herb.

It was then the villagers rushed to their house, wanting to see the tiger that she had hunted.

Xie Jun was the first to reach home.

When he opened the gate and saw the tiger, he was so terrified that he wouldn’t enter the garden.

“I-is the tiger really dead?” Xie Jun asked, sounding as if he was going to cry. He was scared because there was no blood. “Tiger eats people.”

“It’s dead. Come on in.” Zhao Chuchu laughed.

The young boy pondered for a moment before walking around the tiger.

After realizing that it was really dead, he finally had the guts to touch it.

His fear was already gone by then.

“It’s really dead! How did you kill it? Can we eat it?”

After answering all of Xie Jun’s questions, Zhao Chuchu was exhausted.

“Junjun, we are selling the tiger to buy medicine to cure your illness,” Xie Heng said.

That shut the young boy up immediately.

The villagers had already arrived, and they were all surprised by the corpse.

The surprise wasn’t only the emotion on their faces. They started to have a newfound respect for the lady who hunted it.

“Chuchu, this can fetch quite a huge sum of money, but you’ll have to sell it in the county. There won’t be many people that can afford it,” an old hunter said.

“How much can I sell it for?”

“For such a high-quality skin, I’ll say at least this much.” The old hunter showed five fingers. “You can make more money if you could butcher it yourself, but I believe selling the entire thing at once will be better.”
