Chapter 465 - Yet to Be Released

Yan Wei wanted to steal a few more glances at this mysterious man, but she didn’t expect to be so intimidated to even look in his direction. A shiver shot down her spine, and she had to repress the urge to run away.

However, despite her better judgment, she raised her head and forced herself to look at him.

What she didn’t expect was for Cheng Yan to meet her gaze. His cold eyes felt as if they had swallowed her completely, and her fingers trembled.

How could Yao Tang stand his presence?

She staggered back and refocused her attention on the large trucks in front of her. She needed to scan over this first truck first before moving to the other ones.

The review materials on the first truck appeared to be all over the place. It was as if someone had thrown them all inside before allowing the driver to speed away. She could see the logo of her school pasted on all of them.

However, the state of the review materials in the other trucks appeared to be more organized. They didn’t look to be opened yet, seeing as they were all stacked carefully into smaller boxes.

Yan Wei decided to check those that were in still better condition.

Besides, it was impossible for them to have so many review materials. The ones that were wrapped neatly, perhaps, had been placed there to fool all of them. But, not her.

She passed by the first truck and went straight to the fourth truck.

She tore open one of the wrapped boxes and looked over it.

To her surprise, the box was filled with review materials from International Middle School. She could see her school logo printed right in the center.

She pursed her lips and took out one of the books. Could it really be that she had these books hidden somewhere?

After flipping through a few pages, Yan Wei’s eyes widened. She was so surprised that she almost dropped the book. These review materials had just been printed recently.

And from the publication date, it was obvious that these books had not reached the hands of International Middle School students. Hell, she hadn’t even seen this version before until today.

And it appeared here, in her hands!

What was going on?

Her face clouded in disbelief. She didn’t even wait as she sprinted to the other trucks and flipped through the books stacked in their boxes. All of the review materials were printed recently.

Impossible!

Yan Wei immediately took out her phone and sent a message to her other classmates from International Middle School.

“Hey, have you received the new review materials?”

“No,” one of them quickly replied. “The teacher said that they’d be distributed in a couple of days, but we haven’t received them yet. I’ll update you once they do.”

“What’s wrong? If you need them, I’ll mail them to you once they’ve been distributed.”

“Yeah, we can do that! By the way, how have you been recently? How’s No. 1 High School? We miss you so much here. When will you return?”

Yan Wei took a look at what they had to say, and she froze.

If their teachers still hadn’t distributed the new review materials, then how could they be here? In No. 1 High School?”

Yan Wei threw the book back into the box and whirled around to look at them. “International Middle Schoolhasn’t distributed these review materials yet, so where did you guys get these from? How did you get a hold of these materials?”

She hadn’t tested the authenticity of these review materials with her phone yet, but she was a hundred percent sure that they were all fake.

“They still hadn’t been able to publish it.”

Publish it? Yan Wei’s mouth twitched. This man may look intimidating, but he obviously wasn’t that smart. Who’d openly admit to something like this?

To publish review materials that the school hadn’t released yet…

He was brave and stupid!

These were obviously pirated copies.

She crossed her arms over her chest. The previous incident obviously couldn’t compare to this. These review materials hadn’t even been released before.

“Since you said so yourself, then I wouldn’t have to test the book’s authenticity anymore, right?” Yan Wei cocked up her eyebrow.

“What did you say?”

Yao Tang walked forward and picked up one of the review materials to read it.

This was really an official review copy from International Middle School. Cheng Yan seemed to have access to it, and all of them looked like they’d just been newly printed.

A trace of surprise flashed across her eyes. He had really acquired all of this just for her?

“Is this enough?” Cheng Yan noticed Yao Tanglooking at him and glanced over at her.

“Yes.” Her mouth twitched. “All of this is enough.”

Yan Wei spoke up, unable to take it anymore, “He just said that these review materials hadn’t been published by International Middle School. If that’s so, then how could he have gotten these works? Have they been pirated?”
