Chapter 412 - When Are You Free?

Just as Yan Wei was about to speak, Qin Jing spoke up, “Let me tell you this, feel free to check whether or not all these materials are authentic, but you aren’t going to waste our time by doing so. You can move all these books to the corner on your own.”

Yan Wei’s face darkened even more.

Despite this, she didn’t let her nervousness show. Instead, she puffed up her chest and snorted. “Fine, I’ll check all these books one after the other.”

There was no way that all of these books were authentic!

“Sure, just don’t disturb us.”

Meng Yang shrugged.

They had already checked a couple of books. If they were to find anything, then they should’ve found something by then. Yet, all of their results came back positive.

Yan Wei stubbornly continued.

He shrugged. Well, he had tried to dissuade her. He obviously knew that all of these books weren’t pirated. Just by looking at Yao Tang’s calm demeanor, he knew for a fact that she wouldn’t have such evidence lying around.

He was confident that they wouldn’t find anything wrong with these copies.

“No one can guarantee the final result,” Yan Wei defended her point of view. Her cheeks were flushed bright red as the other students started glancing in her direction almost incredulously.

“I’ll check all of these myself, and let’s see where that brings us.”

“God, then go ahead! You don’t have to make such a big deal out of this!”

Qin Jing rolled her eyes.

Ugh, this was getting frustrating!

Hearing her words, Yan Wei was close to blowing up. Despite this, she didn’t say anything else. She clenched her fists and lowered her head, unable to speak up.

Instead, she picked up another book and scanned the barcode.

She had to find the fake copy!

The students of Class 20 were soon immersed in the sea of questions. They continued to review the questions one after the other and paid no attention to Yan Wei anymore.

Just when everyone had started to forget about her, they heard the chair behind them start to rattle. They all looked over, curious about what was happening.

They saw that Yan Wei’s face was flushed bright red, and her hands were tightly clenched into fists.

On her desk was a pile of review materials, all of which had just been scanned.

It was obvious that she hadn’t found anything.

“I need to take a leave of absence. I’m not feeling well.”

Embarrassed, Yan Wei hurriedly rushed out the classroom door, ducking her head. It was obvious that she was trying to escape the humiliation she’d have to face for her classmates.

The students of Class 20 burst into laughter

Yan Wei continuously walked far away, but even then, she could still hear the laughter echoing from behind her.

Shame thrummed in her chest, and her gut stirred. She sprinted off into a distance, burying her face deeper into her hands. How could she be humiliated like this?

Yao Tang sat in the classroom, gazing at the review materials on the floor. She opened her phone and sent a message to the one person she hadn’t contacted for months.

“Hey, I just entered your website system and modified a the barcodes of the revision materials that had been sent over. I’m sorry about that. It was rude of me to not inform you first.”

The other person quickly replied,

“What’s the big deal? Little Tang, if you need anything, you can tell me! There’s really no need to make that much effort, seriously! You don’t have to say sorry either.”

Yao Tang’s eyes glinted as the corners of her lips twitched. Just as she was about to reply, the person sent her another message,

“If you still need any more test papers, feel free to tell me. I’ll get someone to prepare them immediately.”

Glancing at the mountain of books in her room, she replied, “There’s no need.”

“Alright. If you need them, just let me know, okay?”

He sent another message, “We’ve known each other for years, you don’t have to be so polite and formal with me. You better come visit me when you’re free, okay?”

Yao Tang smiled.

“Okay.”

At the International Middle School, an old man with white hair smiled as he received an affirmative reply.

“She’s such a good student.” He smiled.
