“Where are you heading?” Despite her icy exterior, Cheng Yan still continued to insist. His eyes glinted. “I’ll even give you a ride.”

Yao Tang stared into his eyes for a really long time. Her lips curled into a smile as she tilted her head. “You’re saying the car ride is free?”

“It is.” His smile widened. The man didn’t seem like the smiling type, given his harsh temperament. Others would even describe him as the Northern winds–violent and unforgiving. However, when he does smile, he looked quite nice…

In fact, he was extremely attractive.

His eyes were like a whirlpool, sucking her in with every second that had passed. His jawline was so sharp that it could probably cut her if she moved close enough. And his smile–the way he smiled made all her fears fade in an instant.

Cheng Yan was still wearing the white shirt he had worn when they first met. Although this time, it was free from any smudge of dirt. It fitted him well–emphasized his broad shoulders and muscled arms. If she had seen him from afar, she would’ve guessed he was a model about to walk the runway.

It was the first time she had ever met someone who’d appear so powerful and intimidating at just one glance.

The car door clicked open, snapping her out of her thoughts.

Pursing her lips, Yao Tang got in.

The atmosphere was quite awkward at first, but she couldn’t really care less as she nodded at the man sitting beside her.

There was a slight curve in his eyes at her entrance, and he smirked.

“Where are we going?”

Cheng Yan slowly rolled up the window, lowering his gaze. His voice was deep and pleasant to anyone’s ears–like a harmony waiting to be heard.

Not only was he the most handsome man she had ever met, but his voice was beautiful. He was literally the type of man who had popped out of the storybooks.

Unlike other people, there was something about his voice that made her feel relaxed. She leaned against the leather seat, inhaling the car’s scent that’s far too similar to his.

Yao Tang had never really liked the smell of cologne, but she can’t say she hated his scent. To be honest, she found it quite pleasant.

Even then, she didn’t appear to be fazed. The only reason the man was treating her to a car ride was to “repay her” for saving him. And it wasn’t like her to turn down a free ride.

“Let’s go to Tian Run Mall.”

“What a coincidence.” His eyes glittered. “It’s on the way to my place.”

Qin Hao almost spat out his drink. Tian Run Mall was at the south of the district. Yale Garden, on the other hand, was at the north. How the hell could they even be in one place?

“This is my stop,” she uttered, opening the car door. “Thank–” However, when she turned around, she saw that Cheng Yan had followed her right out.

He shrugged. “I needed to pick something up anyway.”

“Oh.” Not bothering to think too much of it, she strode into the mall.

Ever since she stayed at the Yao Family, she had already made up her mind to move out as soon as possible. After all, they were all already unbearable enough. She just had to prepare for her move.

If she found a new place, she could move in immediately.

It was a good thing that Tian Run Mall was one of the largest malls in the country. It had everything from designer clothes to sturdy furniture.

Yao Tang entered the shopping mall. First, she went to the daily necessities area where she picked out a few items one by one. The shop assistant nodded along the way, writing everything down. Once she was done, she headed up to the electronic products aisle on the third floor.

“Do you have some laptops?”

The last thing she needed was to use the computer Yao Yuan had prepared for her. Once she’d move out, she’d completely cut ties with him–that was that.

She certainly didn’t want Yao Yuan and Qin Man to think that she “owed” them for anything.

Yao Tang went to look at all the computers by the aisle. In the end, she chose the most expensive computer on the shelf and even brought herself a tablet.

After buying everything she needed, Yao Tang went up to the furniture floor and began to pick all kinds of pieces. It’s as if the price was just a figure for her.
