Luke almost choked under the grip of the overlord. Still, eventually, he mustered the strength to swing his ax while aiming toward their arm. Thanks to that, the enemy let him go, and he began to fall, but soon after, he was grabbed again. This time by the back… he felt some sharp claws piercing the flesh of his back, those were some hard ass claws.

"Son of a…" Luke moved his neck and then used Appraisal on the enemy.

He clicked his tongue since it was one of those assholes that hide their information. Nevertheless, what surprised Luke was their appearance. It was quite a humanoid creature, but it was ten meters tall, and its body was covered in white feathers. Naturally, even the head was the head of a white beard, but Luke could see a lot of hatred in those yellow eyes.

Luke tried to swing his axe, but the enemy twisted its body and made Luke miss. The same thing happened several times… he couldn't attack from that position. Before he could think of doing something else, Shalia fired some Fireballs toward the enemy, and while the dove-like monster failed to dodge her attacks, only slightly burned some feathers.

The creature swung one of its wings toward her, and Shalia saw that those were sharp as well. However, before the attack could land, Luke protected her by using his left hand, and even though the wing cut his hand quite a bit, Luke grabbed it.

"Try to fly now, bird brain," Luke said as he increased the strength of his grip.

They were going upward until now, but thanks to Luke's grabbing the wing, they began to fall. The overlord tried to free himself and damaged Luke's hands even more. That was dangerous since Rina was where he left them with the others, and Shalia could only attack. Still, Shalia made a breeze of cold wild envelop the wing of the overlord, and that began to freeze. In the end, the monster decides to let Luke fall again. For a few seconds, they stayed on a free fall, but before they could land once again, the bird overlord captured them.

"You are so fucking annoying…" Luke said and tried to cut the monster's paw.

Before Luke could finish the swing, the monster threw him upward with a fearsome power that made him spin for quite a while. When he finally stopped, the bird grabbed him again with its paw. At that point in time, the creature was getting on Luke's nerves, so he used Water Tornado around himself. The spell forced the monster to let him go for a while, and then he tried to hit the creature with Spark Ball, but the overlord was flying around him while him while descending alongside Luke.

"It is getting rid of the water, and once it finishes with that… " Shalia said.

The creature would try again. It was only obvious. It was surprising that it wasn't using long-ranged attacks, but the overlord probably assumed that it didn't need it against someone like Luke. Or either it didn't want to show and risk letting the other overlords become aware of it.

In any case, the speed of the overlord truly was something else. It could fly around Luke in a five hundred meters radius and complete a lap pretty every single second. To make matters worse, Luke was completely vulnerable in the sky. Still, when the enemy approached again, Luke had a surprise ready. He turned around and used Sonic Blade several times in a row.

The overlord was forced to slow down and then use its wings as a shield. The external side of those suffered some damage, but it had been minimal… it was hard to tell if it was due to the feathers of the overlord's skin being just that tough. Nevertheless, Luke escaped that attack. The same thing happened a few times, until Luke saw the bird overlord clicking its tongue under its beak. He got close again, but he stopped midway and then flapped its wings toward Luke. It happened in a single moment, but some of the feathers changed and then flew toward him as if they were arrows. With his ax, Luke blocked most of those, but he still got some scratches, and another one pierced his right leg.

" Urgh! Fortunately, I can't use my leg anyway in the air," Luke muttered.

"You sure are optimistic," Shalia said.

When Luke moved his ax and tried to see the enemy, the bastard had disappeared, and then he suddenly felt a kick on his back. The overlord sure was trying hard to keep him in the air, but that only showed Luke how gutsy the enemy was…

Weapon Augmentation combined with the ice that they could make probably wouldn't be enough. The enemy was so fast that the chances of hitting at a distance were close to none. So, Luke had to find another way, but it was hard given his current situation. It didn't seem like a good idea since he didn't have a place to put his ax, but Luke asked Shalia to create some attached to his body to hold his weapon while he used the bow.

Luke almost could feel the tension of the enemy rising when he grabbed the bow. Still, while it would be hard, Luke couldn't miss the first Shot, even though the enemy was really wary of it. If he lands a hit, Luke will be able to keep on shooting and then make some damage pile up, making the enemy lose some speed, that will certainly improve the odds of the battle going in his favor… thanks to that, Luke gets nervous and hesitated in firing, but then he realized that he was falling and he was essentially buying time without doing anything. However, things soon changed when the overlord opened its mouth....
