At best, Luke will be able to make a few hundred bows with those. It didn't seem much, but he was expecting quite a bit from their quality. Regardless, they took those to where they left the others and quickly made their preparations to move to the next planet. They sure were indifferent...

"Our alliance ends here," Cresta declared when Luke took the last three of their part. "I hope that you manage to recover this world from the hands of the overlords, but if that is your only goal, your fight will never end. I also hope that you people don't become blinded with the power that you might obtain after this. Best regards."

Without waiting for an answer, Cresta and her friends left with their fortresses. They sure were self-centered, even more than Luke, so he felt relieved with their exit.

"Let's leave those here and help the others," Luke said.

Luke could understand why Cresta and the others kept their distance. They didn't want to get further involved in the elves' problems and waste time letting their feelings get in their way. They probably did that several times and learned the harsh way that it was a waste of time… to them. Even paying respects to those that fought alongside them was a waste of time. They wanted to use all their time and resources to strengthen their people…

"I can understand that, without those two, I probably would follow the same path…" Luke thought.

Luke got lucky. He found allies that offered to help him. He was the type who would never lend a hand first at an end of the world situation. So, he probably wouldn't have survived for long…

Thanks to the use of magic, they buried everyone before nightfall. They were used to that, and so was Rina… burying their companions. Some elves cried throughout the night for the losses, while others recovered faster and began to work sorting out the loot. Speaking of loot, Rina let the magic wood in the hands of some elves that had experience making bows. While they didn't use it much in the past or now, they relied a lot on those when the monsters appeared. One of the crafters gave it to Luke when the first was ready.

Storm Bow (Rare)

A magic bow which able to fire wind arrows that fly at supersonic speeds at the cost of fifteen mana points.

SPE + 20, INT + 40

Durability; 50/50

It was quite the bow… even better than the one Rein used. Luke immediately grabbed the weapon with the intention of using and then a wind arrow appeared ready to be nocked. When Luke pulled the string and let the arrow go, he felt a tremendous force pushing backward… It was the shock wave created by the shot. The arrow was made of wind, so it was a given that he couldn't see it any night, but he couldn't hear it either.

"Try to hit that…" Shalia said and then made an ice pillar emerge in the distance.

It was five hundred meters away, so Luke missed the first shot, but the second hit it, and the arrow barely flew for half a second.

"Not bad, not bad at all," Luke said. "If we get one hundred archers that can do half of this, then our forces will increase tremendously."

Luke practiced his Archery due to the excitement throughout the night. Despite that, he didn't forget to buy the red crystal and also the item that would grant him the power to sell loot to the system. It was because of that bow. With that power-up, he didn't need anything else for the time being.

Still, there was a problem. Cresta told him that making a fortress move between worlds is possible, but it costs tons of mana. He couldn't make the elves use theirs. He had two options, use his or sacrifice a monster loyal to him and make it spawn and then sacrifice it again and again. Their spirits will keep generating mana to the fortress.

"It is clear now that Frank got in his hands a red crystal, but should I use mine here or on Earth?" Luke asked.

"On Earth," Rina said. "Your parents are there, hence you should focus on making sure that they will be protected."

"They aren't made of glass, but I can see your point…" Luke said. "Let's return to our base and then give everyone some weeks off to rest. You guys should return now, I will come back in three days."

"I suppose that is fine," Rachel said. "Call us back if something happens, as soon as possible."

The others also looked pretty eager to keep on fighting… Richter was obviously itching to keep hunting as well, probably because he was close to getting his red crystal as well, but what would the point be since Luke is going to use his?

It didn't even take four hours…. After the Richter group left, Celia returned, and she looked pretty flustered. Her breathing was haggard, like she had been running around for quite a while.

"What is wrong?" Luke asked.

"She… disappeared…" Celia said.

"Who disappeared?" Luke frowned.

"Danielle… And Sylah," Celia replied. "Four days ago according to your parents."

That wasn't good… they probably headed to the dark elves' world for whatever reason. The timing couldn't be worse as well since, at that time, they were preparing for the confrontation against the remaining overlords. In any case, Luke looked toward Shalia.

"It is possible that they went to my world… those two make the worst combination possible," Shalia said after a long sigh.

Two kids going to another world when they don't even have the better judgment to ask for help. Luke wasn't much older and wise to say that they were stupid.

"Let's return to Earth and then confirm things there," Rina said.. "The remaining enemies in this planet are too far away to intervene with my people."
