Luke nodded to himself in satisfaction. All the items the enemies dropped were tier 10 or above. It was a pity that he didn't find any skill book, probably because the monsters learned them the moment they touched them… Nevertheless, Luke found other two rings that increased his focus by twenty each and a katana that granted him three extra levels in Sonic Blade. Throwing away his main weapon would be a waste, but Luke probably could hold them both when he tries to use Sonic Blade to keep the enemies at a distance.

"Regardless… I think the enemies here are farming," Luke said. "This many monsters fighting and dying all the time, the overlords definitely are gaining something from this.

"Wasn't that obvious from the beginning that they want experience and gold coins?" Shalia asked.

"Yes, but not only in those senses…" Luke said. "The arachnid warriors are powerful, but their weapons are crap, meanwhile, their droops are many levels above them. If they wanted to gain this war, their masters just had to find them better weapons."

"I suppose that confirms that they have some use for the magic weapons aside from their natural ones," Rina said. "Just buying them using the shop would be easy, but they think it is more efficient to…"

Rina clenched her fist and bit her lips in exasperation. The enemies truly were treating her world like some sort of hunting spot… she said that a long time ago that such a thing could happen to Earth, but at that time, things hadn't gotten that far, even on her planet. Luke put his hand on her shoulder to calm her down and make her remember that she wasn't there alone, and despite some setbacks, they are making progress regarding the recovery of the planet. She had to keep her cool to avoid making more mistakes…

"Tomorrow, we will attack the Chimeras… their leaders are probably thinking that they obtained some advantage today since they lost a few creatures their size," Luke said. "That is actually true, so we have to equal things to avoid problems."

Luke didn't notice that from far away, but it was only obvious that the monsters, or at least those that survived for several hours, wouldn't be able to keep fighting nonstop. He noticed during that night that now and then, they would retreat to recover their energy and heal their wounds as much as possible. It only became apparent when he noticed that the long-ranged attacks of the chimeras never reached him.

During the day, Luke's group proceeded to rest and then hide the loot on their moving fortress, but they also watched the battlefield to check if there were any changes. Aside from the fact that the Chimeras were putting a lot more pressure, nothing had changed, but that was something that they had imagined that it would happen.

"They sure are lax about this… or are they preparing a trap after noticing that something is off?" Luke asked.

"That is unlikely… when people get used to certain events, they ignore small changes," Shalia said. "Besides, more than a few overlords are participating in this battle for resources, so they will keep looking at the big picture instead of small losses."

The only issue was the fact that the small losses reached the house of thousands of monsters… if they weren't like the tamed monsters of Luke and his skeletons, it was fine, but if they were, it was the same as losing tons of experience. Regardless, Luke will only be able to understand their actions once he gets a red crystal instead of inheriting one from a defeated foe.

When night came, Luke's group headed to the back of the chimeras and then proceeded to fight them. Since their endurance was a bit Lower, Luke managed to kill more of them than he did with the arachnids. However, despite the smoke, smell of blood, and poison that was being used by them, they still found him several times. Shalia worked hard and froze the faces of those near-instantly, and Luke finished them off.

"Do they have better senses than the arachnids?" Luke frowned.

"I suppose, they are used to the smell of smoke and poison," Rina replied.

Regardless, the battlefield reached the same stalemate as before their intervention, thanks to their actions. Just like before, they got a lot of items. Even a pair of shuriken that Rina could use as boomerangs and those could completely stop the movements of the target as long as they stay pierced to their flesh. Still, the endurance and Resistance of the target could decrease its duration, and the max was three seconds.

"Let's do this two more times and then bring back the loot to our base," Luke said. "We should check their progress and see how many of them can help us here."

Luke said that when they finished that night's work. However, the next day, he began to sweat cold. After the moving fortress came and the monsters appeared, it didn't return to the sky… the other also stayed there.

"They want to see with their own eyes What is happening," Shalia said. "They aren't that careless…"

That was their chance to attack… but Luke decided against it. They will have to deal with the armies of monsters to be able to fight the overlords without interruption… and only the other elves will be able to make that possible.

The same thing happened the next day, and Luke realized that they would have to change locations. However, before that, they returned to their base. While only a few days had passed since they left, Amanda and the others had already returned, and they looked pretty pissed since they could tell where Luke had gone.

"As usual, your team work sucks balls," Amanda said.

"We had to investigate the enemy's camps, and you guys aren't suited for that," Luke said. "Luke said. "Still, rejoice.. Now you guys will have the chance to put your neck in danger."
