156 156 Romantic Evening

"It is sad that I get jealous of my best friend when I know that I have nothing to get jealous over. You are mine and mine alone." Cedric blew out the candle.

"I do not mind you being jealous but then I would need to be jealous of your guardian. Do not fret, just remember that Claude is madly in love with Sephira." Yuki smiled and touched Cedric's cheek.

Cedric wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted Yuki up in the air. "You are amazing. I am glad that I have captured you for the rest of our lives." He starts to walk away from the table.

Giggling Yuki wraps her arms around his neck. "All I want is you for the rest of my life. I love you more than the sun loves the moon."

"And I love you more than you could ever dream. After thinking about it, I will set a date for our wedding and we will fully become the King and Queen of the night world. My aunt will not be able to tell that part as she is a human. If I thought about that then we would be safe. My uncle married a human to bring in fresh blood but the two were never granted a child and thank god for that." Cedric carried her to the upper deck and he stepped into the pool still carrying her.

Yuki shivered from the water touching her skin and placed her head on his neck. "I am glad that you did not get a cousin. They would've suffered greatly. I know that you suffered a lot but you are not a human." She could feel his arms holding her close so she did not try to get away from his body.

"Yes, you are right on that point but it is sad, that they would've tortured their own child. I went through hell and I can only imagine that hell that my cousin would've gone through." Cedric sat on the stairs in the pool and cuddled Yuki. "I just want to hold you."

"I am okay with being next to you. I just want to spend every moment that I can with you. We were apart for so many years. We need to rediscover each other or at least I need to." Yuki smiled and kissed his lips gently. "I am thinking that the sooner we plan this out the better. Is there any chance we can get this done before the end of the month?"

Cedric thought back on the calendar and looked at the dates. "We could but I need to double-check with Claude as he knows more about the good days to marry. I don't even know how that is." He shook his head and kissed her neck. "I will not do anything more than this. Look up and you will be able to see the big and little dipper."

Yuki looked up at the stars and saw the big dipper. "Oh, I found the big dipper!" She looked until she was able to see the little dipper. "I am glad that this is how we will spend our evening. The stars are really beautiful." Just as she says this a meteor shower started.

Cedric sighs in relief, "this is the real reason I brought you out here. Look at the stars falling in the sky. It is a sight that you only get to see every once in a while and I thought that it would be romantic if we got to see it together." He watches the stars shooting across the sky and relaxes.

"This is amazing. I did not think that I would get to see this. I love it, Cedric. You took my breath away." Yuki stared at the mediator shower in awe and smiled. 'I wish that our lives can be this peaceful all the time.'

"I wanted to make this night as memorable as possible. We became the king and queen of this little town and now I am with my forever partner watching something that we will be able to witness again and again throughout our long years together. Amaris, I know that things have been hectic and that things have moved fairly fast but I want you to know that you are not alone in this. I will forever be at your side." Cedric was looking at the mediator shower holding on to her.

Yuki touched his arm to indicate that she understood. She watched the meteorites fall and shower the sky. "Lucifer, I understand." They watched this until the last one fell in the sky. "That was truly amazing. I am glad that we saw that together."

"As am I. I know that as a night creature you would be able to see this again but it is much more special that we get to see it together. What would you like to do now?" Cedric made no move to let her go.

"It is strange that I used to sleep all day and now I am awake three-quarters of the day. I am still not used to this. I no longer know what to do with my time. Having too much time is more of a burden than a blessing. I do not have any pastimes, nor do I have a job. Why did you pick up translating books?" Yuki turned her head and looked him in the eyes.

"I can see that being frustrating. That is why I picked up the translating job. I mean what other jobs can you do when you have nothing but time on your plate? I slept so little that I needed something to fill in the insanity that is time. I saw an advertisement that there was a book company looking for translators for some languages that have faded from existence but with being alive two hundred years, I thought why not? It's not like I had anything else to do with my time." Cedric held onto her and cuddled her. "Were you afraid when you were a slave?"
