Inside his office, Li Wei sat in his office with a lot on his mind, mostly about Fan MeiLi. When he arrived at the company, Mo Han didn't waste any time before he explained about the rumors spreading in the company about Fan MeiLi. He thought she would be a little distressed when she arrived but was surprised when he saw her calm. Fan MeiLi already has proven that she could behave and think on her feet in any situation. It also made him wonder why such a talented lady decided to use her skills to become a hacker.

Outside the office, Fan MeiLi worked hard on her assignments and before she knew it lunchtime was upon her. Standing up, she went to take Li Wei's lunch order when the elevator open and Emily Xu came out. When the two ladies eyes met, Fan MeiLi smiled and gave a bow, while Emily returns the gesture but had a confusing glint in her eyes.

"Miss Fan, it's so nice to see you. Is Li Wei in? I had some documents that needed to be signed and since I was in the area I decided to bring them to him." Emily Xu said making her way toward the office door.

Blocking her way, Fan MeiLi gave Emily a calm and warm smile, "I'm sorry but could you wait here, Miss Xu. I'll see if CEO Li is willing to accept any guest at the moment." She said then gave a smile and entered Li Wei's office.

Li Wei was busing looking over some documents and didn't look up when Fan MeiLi entered the office. "Sir, I have Miss Xu waiting outside, she said that there were some documents that needed to be signed. Should I let her in?" Fan MeiLi asked.

Her words actually had Li Wei putting down his pen and looking at Fan MeiLi, "Why didn't she just have her people send it to the company?" He asked.

"Miss Xu mention that she was in the area and wished to meet with you." "What do you have to say about her meeting me?" Li Wei asked leaning back.

Now Fan MeiLi was really shocked to hear his words, "Me? Why would I have any problem?" Fan MeiLi asked tilting her head.

"While I do value Emily as a business partner and I give her some leeway as a childhood friend, I'm not blind. I know that she has some feelings for me but I will never respond. I need you to play your role perfectly and make sure that Emily doesn't have any foolish ideas." He said giving Fan MeiLi a hard stare.

Fan MeiLi was quiet and lost in thought but gave a nod and exited the office. When she came out she saw Emily sitting in the waiting area looking on her phone. Walking over, "Miss Xu, I must apologize but CEO Li is not available for guest at the moment."

Emily put her phone in her purse and stood, "Really? Well, I hope you can make sure these documents find his hands." She said handing over the folders. Emily looked at Li Wei's door and then back at Fan MeiLi and gave her a smirk.

"You know I heard a few things about you on my way up to the office, so I wonder why you still play this little part as a secretary."

"What do you mean?" Fan MeiLi asked walking with Emily toward the elevator. "Well, if you're now the girlfriend of China's richest man, why are you working a 9-5 job," Emily said looking at Fan MeiLi.

"You might see it as a simple job, but I think of it as a way to keep my boyfriend from becoming to stress. You might see Li Wei as China's richest man, but I see him as a guy who works too much and could use a break once in a while." Fan MeiLi said with a bright smile.

Emily heard a lot of rumors about Fan MeiLi and she couldn't understand why Li Wei would want such a lowly lady by his side. Looking at her she had to try so hard not to keep the hate out of her face as she talked with Fan MeiLi. "Well, Miss Fan, I glad Li Wei has such a considerate partner near his side." She said as the doors close.

Once the doors closed, Emily lost the smile and it was replaced with a glare and clenching her purse. She didn't know how but Emily Xu made a vow that day to make Fan MeiLi leave Li Wei's side one way or another.

On the other side of the elevator, Fan MeiLi's smile also disappeared from her face. She didn't know why but for the first time her weird feelings started but not to help someone but to warn her. Emily Xu may look kind but she would bring danger to her life.
