Lu Ming had a sweet dream, but it was interrupted by discomfort and stickiness.

He turned over, feeling the heat.

In a blurry state, he reached for the remote control to turn on the air conditioner.

“Ayyyy!” He waved his hands frantically, but instead of the air conditioner, he bumped into something unknown and painful.

The pain made Lu Ming open his eyes, and the sight before him made him forget about the pain.

“Where is the bed?”

“F*ck! Where am I?”

Lu Ming thought in an angry mood as he looked around.

All he could see was a barren road and the blazing sun.

He slapped his forehead, wondering if he was dreaming.

But his pain and the heat from the sun told him otherwise.

Lu Ming quickly stood up, looking around.

How did he end up here? Did he sleepwalk over? Nothing seemed familiar, and he didn’t recognize his surroundings.

Lu Ming was in a fluster.

If it wasn’t a dream, how did he end up here?

He heard a car approaching, and before he knew it, a white car was rushing toward him at full speed.

The driver showed no signs of slowing down, and Lu Ming realized that he was about to get hit.

He quickly dodged to the side.

A loud sound followed, and dazzling light came to him.

Lu Ming covered his ears, and when he turned to look, he saw a black mushroom cloud rising from where the car had exploded.

Holy crap!

Was that an explosion?

How could such a big car explode like that?

After witnessing the car accident, he was even more confused.

Lu Ming wanted to get closer and find out what had happened, but the heat was still intense.

“Hel… help…”

“Help me…”

As he stood there wondering what to do, he heard weak cries for help from the wreckage.

The driver was still alive, which was a miracle.

Lu Ming was surprised, but he had no time to think about whether it had been drowsy driving. Someone was trapped inside, and Lu Ming knew that he had to act fast.

He searched for his phone to call for help, but it was nowhere to be found.

He had no other choice but to approach the wreckage on foot.

He approached the accident to check him out, and he realized that the heat had dissipated somewhat.

As he got closer, he could see layers of air around the car.

Thud!

Lu Ming finally reached the car and saw a hand struggling in ruins, trying to grab onto something.

He quickly helped the person out.

At this point, he finally saw the man’s face,

His face was nearly destroyed in the explosion.

The man’s eyes were bloodshot, his lips were dry and white, and he looked severely dehydrated.

Lu Ming had to send him to the hospital, or he’d die anytime soon.

“Where’s your phone?” he asked.

He couldn’t find his phone, so he could only hope the man’s phone still worked.

The man couldn’t speak, so he signaled Lu Ming to come closer.

As Lu Ming bent down, the man’s eyes narrowed, and he grabbed Lu Ming’s collar and threw him to the ground.

“What the…?”

Lu Ming was shocked and angry and prepared to fight back.

After seeing the man pull a dagger and press it against his throat, he froze in fear.

“Man, I saved your life…” Lu Ming said as he greeted his teeth, but the dagger against his throat made him feel like walking on eggshells.

“Water.”

“Give me some water.”

The man repeated the sentence as if he didn’t notice Lu Ming’s expression.

His throat was dry, and even Lu Ming could feel his weakness. With a fierce look in his eyes, the man looked like a hungry monster. “I don’t have water,” Lu Ming swallowed and said quietly.

The man didn’t believe him. Lu Ming seemed healthy and strong, and there was no way to find any resources. How come he didn’t have any water?

Due to his physical condition, he could not speak much. However, Lu Ming quickly understood this from his fierce expression.

“Look, I’m empty-handed. I don’t even have any clothes to change. As for water, I guess I can make some when I go to the toilet.” Lu Ming knew his words might provoke the man, but he had no time to waste on him.

When the man relaxed his grip on the dagger, Lu Ming could escape without getting hurt.

Sure enough, the man exerted force again after hearing that, but he also knew he could not control his strength. He feared he would kill Lu Ming directly, so he moved the dagger out, intending to teach him a lesson.

Lu Ming was also waiting for this opportunity. The moment the man moved the dagger, Lu Ming used all his might to counter him. Then, he would push him away and put some distance between them.

The only idea in his mind was to run as fast as he could.

The sharp pain in Lu Ming’s arm made it clear that he was not dreaming, and the man’s behavior disgusted him.

Lu Ming ran as if he had forgotten about the tiredness.

The man finally had the time to pay attention to his movements. When he saw his movements, he seemed to want to get up and chase after him, but he collapsed to the ground again because he was too weak.

As Lu Ming ran, he looked back from time to time. Just as he almost couldn’t see him anymore, he saw a car speeding towards the man, hitting him and driving off as if he wasn’t there. Everything looked like a prank, but the pain in his arm reminded him it was his reality.

A sense of danger rose from his heart when he thought of what had just happened.

He knew he shouldn’t waste more time if he encountered someone with ulterior motives later, so he quickly opened the box to check the vehicle information.

There were countless cars in the small box. The number and variety made him dumbfounded, and the fancy introduction was somewhat exaggerated. Lu Ming did not believe this car could come out of the box. However, since it was a game, it must be useful.

After a selection round, Lu Ming skimmed through all kinds of dream supercars and chose a Jetta.

Looking at the word “survival” floating above his head, Lu Ming felt that Jetta’s fuel-efficient feature was what he needed.

He didn’t need a fancy car, but a useful one.

After he made his choice, a Jetta appeared out of thin air before him.
