Chapter 362: Old Sa

"Hahaha! Good! I agree to this bet!" The shark man readily agreed.

"Mmm. Then… hurry up." Kana said coldly as she pushed Yana back a little and took on her dragon form.

The shark man suddenly felt a great pressure weighing down on him. He suddenly had a bad premonition that if he let this woman hit him, there would be nothing left. "Ahem… Let's just leave it at that… " He felt it better to retreat while he still could.

"Oh? Not going to fight now?" Kana asked, a smile creeping up on her face.  This smile alone was enough to send a shiver down the shark man's spine.

"Haha. It was a joke! A joke!" The shark man wanted to cry. Who would be crazy enough to want to fight someone who suddenly powered up to the point that it felt like the heavens were about to crush him!?

Kana sneered and released her dragon form. She turned around and checked on Yana, not caring for the shark man anymore. "Yana, are you okay? Did you get scared?"

Yana saw the concern in Kana's eyes and smiled brightly as she shook her head. "No! With Mama Kana around, I have no reason to be scared."

Kana froze hearing the nickname that Yana just used to call her. But after thinking about it a little, Kana couldn't help but feel a bit warm inside.  She reached out and gently stroked Yana's head. "Mmm.. good girl."

"Hehe!" Yana smiled brightly.

As for the shark man, he could only shake his head. That woman seconds ago was ready to kill him without hesitation, but now she was warm as can be to the little human girl in front of her. He had lost interest.  "I assure you a safe passage. I will take my leave."

Kana ignored the shark man as she cuddled Yana. The shark man snorted before directing his monster to submerge. In seconds Kana no longer felt the shark man's aura. Fel, who was watching from the side, was drenched in sweat. He never thought this woman who was so kind and gentle to his miss was such a powerful person. His miss really knew how to pick them!

The days on the ocean were calm once again. There were just a few storms that rocked the boat slightly, but Kana and Yana stayed warm in the cabin the entire time. Soon the sounds of cheering could be heard on deck. "I see land!"

They had finally reached the Pleqoth continent. This was the land of the ancients where the battles of ancients wars were fought. The place where she could finally find the item to heal Lysairth's soul.

There were no shipping docs, so the ship had to be anchored off the coast and had to take a smaller rowboat to get ashore. That is for Fel and his men. As for Kana, she picked up Yana and flew to shore. She wanted to make sure the coast had no monsters that would ambush them right away.

As she landed, though, a few figures flew down from the sky. One of which she was familiar with. "Oh? If it isn't Creige's little wife, what are you doing this far north? "

It was an old man and two young girls. Who looked to be in their mid twenties. Kana smiled and bowed her head to the old man. "It's good to see you again, senior. You may not have known, but my husband and kids ascended not long ago."

"Oh? What happened?" The old man found Kana's words strange. He could not understand how the little girl's kids were able to ascend, but after hearing what Kana had to say, he finally understood. "I see… So that was you… Criege might not have told you my name, but those who know me call me Old Sa. These two girls here are Di and Fi. They are sisters from a hidden race that can only be found here in Pleqoth. Unfortunately, their race is slowly dying out. So in order to give these two girls a chance at a new life, I took them as my disciples."

"I see... It is nice to meet the two of you." Kana greeted the two girls kindly. They both smiled and nodded in response. Although, Kana did feel like she heard a low clicking sound when they nodded.

"Don't mind them, they can't talk. Their race is one that speaks with low sound waves that are hard to hear and interpret. I have spent a few hundred years learning their language." Old Sa explained.

"Mmm... I can hear it." Kana found that a race that uses low frequency sound was for communication pretty interesting.

"So, what brings you here anyway?" Old Sa asked.

"I need to find an item that can heal a damaged soul. I don't know if you can tell, but I have a soul sleeping within me." Kana explained lightly.

"Oh? Hmmm..." Old Sa leaned in close to Kana, and his eyes grew wide. "Hot damn isn't that Lsayirth, that damn domineering dragon!?"

Kana let out a laugh and nodded her head. "Yes, it is. As for domineering, I am not too sure, but Lsayirth could be considered my mother figure from when I first came to this world."

"Haha, to think that old bat soul is still alive." Old Sa smiled as if he was reminiscing about something, but then his face turned gloomy. "What you seek is here but…. That place is not a place you should go."

"It doesn't matter what I have to face, I must go. I owe Lysaith so much. She used up all the energy she had left to keep me alive. I can not allow her to  disappear." Kana's eyes showed no hesitation. She would not let anyone or thing stop her from accomplishing her goal.

Old Sa sighed when he saw Kana was not going to listen. "If you must go then I can only wish you luck but these people you have with you should stay behind."

"Actually Old Sa, can I ask you to look after Yana for me?" Kana asked.

"Hmmm? This little one…. A stargazer!? Why is there a stargazer in this world!?"
