Chapter 306: Kill Or Be Killed, Survive Until The End

The bus arrived at the elite training center a little past noon that same day. This place was much bigger, and the scent of blood also filled the air. Kana looked around at her new surroundings with great interest. The walls of this facility were much higher and even the main gate to enter the place was under heavy guard, as well as two large metal doors that had to be opened with every entry and exit.  The buildings inside made it seem more like a small city. The tallest was six stories high, while the smallest was two stories high. The layout was almost the same, except for more buildings and the middle area was a large training field, and the battles going on there were not what you would consider friendly.

But all of this was something she would need to check out now as she had come face to face with six girls in their mid to late teens. They all saluted Instructor Shelly but gave Kana a look as if they were looking at dead meat. "Good, you are here. This here is Seven.  She will be joining the training here in the elite facility. She already knows the rules here. Killing between those training in this place is allowed any time, any place. And this goes for the six of you as well."

"Hmmm? So we can just up and kill her right now then?" A girl with golden locks asked with an evil glint in her eyes.

Instructor Shelly shook her head and sighed. She didn't even get to answer the girl's question before blood flowed from the girl with golden locks neck. Kana looked at the dead girl on the ground and snorted. "Sorry, but announcing you want to kill me is asking to be killed first."

The other five girls sucked in a breath of cold air. They did not even see when Kana moved. It was a blur, and then the girl with golden locks was dead. Instructor Shelly raised her hand, and a team came running over and placed a black body bag on the ground before tossing the girl inside. "I should warn you. If you have ideas on killing this little girl, be prepared to die first."

Instructor Shelly knew her words were giving Kana information she shouldn't be giving her, but she felt it was only fair since the little girl's life was on the line. Kana picked right up on this information. She felt this place was quite amusing. But she felt something was quite off. If killing was allowed, why were people not dying left and right? "Instructor Shelly, you said killing was allowed, but if that was the case, wouldn't this place be a blood bath by now?"

"It happens every once and a while, but normally people are afraid of death even if they are the ones who were selected to be in this training facility. Seven in the other facility, it was a controlled environment where you had to under go strict training in order to protect yourself. But here, there is some training,  but mostly it is all about your own survival. Many groups form and move as a unit in order to stay alive. It is people like you who will be targeted since you are a late comer. The only way to survive is to be the one who has better skills. This is also why everyone has their own room." Instructor Shelly explained.

She had also been to this training as well. She had almost died many times during her days here. This place was like hell on earth, and girls from all over the world came here to train and hope to survive until the training session ends. Six months. This was how long the training session here was. Kana was coming in late, so she only needed to stay alive for five months. But if she survived until the end, the merits she would get were numerous.

"I see… That's fine then..." Kana smiled and heaved her duffle bag onto her shoulder. "Let's hope I don't die then. Instructor Shelly, which way is the dorms?"

Kana nonchalant attitude caused Instructor Shelly to chuckle and led the girls to the dorms. The five who had been asked to attack Kana day and night trying to kill her seemed to be a bit uncertain if they could complete this mission. When Kana was shown to her room one of them asked Instructor Shelly: "Instructor Shelly, is it even possible to kill that little girl!? I mean Senior Miyu ordered us to keep trying to kill that girl but… Isn't she just asking us to die. That little girl reacted so fast none of us even saw her move!"

"Senior Miyu's orders are absolute. This also her giving you five training as well. Just do not be as arrogant as the other girl. Think before you act and try to find a time when she is open. If you can, that is." Instructor Shelly let out a laugh not further explaining things. The five girls gritted their teeth wishing they could decline this mission.

These five all gathered into one room after they got their assigned rooms. They sat on the floor and began contemplating their next move. "What should we do?"

"I am not sure but when that little girl Seven killed Jill just now I was not even able to see her movements. Slay, you are the most powerful one here out of all of us, what do you think?"

"We need to complete orders. If we do not regularly try to attack and kill the girl, dying by the girl's hands will seem like heaven compared to angering Senior Miyu. So let's work out as many scenarios as we can after a week's time. We need to get a grasp of this girl's strengths and weaknesses. During that time we will just use ranged attacks and attack from a distance to comply with our orders while we gather intelligence on her."  The girl named Slay explained. The five girls quickly began making plans for the upcoming week. As for Kana, the girl in question, after being told she could rest she laid down on her bed and fell fast asleep.
