Chapter 141: Instant Death Sentence

"Dean Williams, please contact the king and tell him I wish to speak to him." Kana said coldly. She was not done. If the children were this bad, this meant the people who raised them were just as bad. As a person who wished for this kingdom to be prosperous and not fall into the same league as the humans, she could not let these families go.

--

At the same time, inside the throne room, two old men, one horse man, and one squirrel man, were standing in front of the King with ugly expressions on their faces. "Your majesty, although she may be the hero who saved our kingdoms, he can not go and act as she wishes! Not only did she beat Old Fredos' son, but she also tossed my youngest son to goddess knows where and then stuck a rock up my granddaughter's ass! How is this being allowed!? She is just acting as if she is above all nobles! She is not giving us officials who actually work every day for this kingdom any face!"

"This..." Claine held his head. He really did not wish to deal with such issues this late at night, but these two families held a lot of power within the Rural Kingdom. He was not ready to purge these two families even though they did as they pleased since he had nothing he could use to charge them with.

*Bang!*

The door to the throne room quickly opened as another official ran in, ignoring the two old men standing there. He went right in front of them and kneeled in front of CLaine. "Your Majesty, Dean Williams would like to speak with you."

Seeing this as an excuse to ignore the two old men wanting to punish Kana, Claine waved his hand, saying: "Put it on the water screen."

What surprised Claine was that on the water screen staring back at him was not Dean Williams but Kana with a young girl covered in wounds. Seeing this, Claine's expression turned ugly. "What happened?"

"Claine, I will only ask you one question. Do you know of two families surnamed Fredos and Glicker?" Kana asked. Her tone was not friendly at all.

"Mmm. I do. The heads of both families are right here in front of me. I probably already know without asking, but to be sure, may I ask why you are asking? " Claine could tell with the way Kana was speaking and the poor girl in her arms. He already knew what may have occurred.

"Nothing much. I just turned their kin into ashes and planned to do the same to the rest of their families. I was wondering if this would put you in a bad position if I did this? I mean for trash kids who try to beat people until they are unconscious, try to kidnap and r*pe people using their families names. I am sure their families are no better. What reason does this kingdom need them if they are no different from the humans we just fought?" Kana's voice was void of any emotion. Right now, she did not care for anyone who was not close to her. She was only asking Claine this question out of respect for Tilia, her sister.

"Oh? Is that right? Then why don't we do this? I will detain both families and lock them into the dungeon while you are in the academy for the next five years. During this time, they will be reduced to commoners, and when you are done with the academy, you can do as you please with them." Claine now had a reason to deal with the two families, one so big even the masses would not fault him for it, never mind the other officials. It would be different if the offense was small, but since they tried to kidnap and do unspeakable things to the hero of Rural, then he had no reason to hold back. With such crimes placed on their head and the number of nobles with higher status that see Kana as a hero. He could officially take action and not cause any issues within the court.

"You! Your Majesty, do you think you can get away with harming our families without evidence?" Old Fredos yelled.

Kana, who could hear him, sneered as she said: "Evidence? I have plenty. There are multiple wounds on my friend's body, plus eyewitnesses who have seen both of your family members acting as if they were king and sentencing me to death and or trying to turn me into some kind of plaything. Isn't this plenty of evidence? I do not think you have the right to be talking. I am sure if His Majesty sent people to your homes, they could uncover much more."

"Miss Kana is right! Guards take these two into custody! Frederick, send down my decree. Have the military surrounded and apprehend both families and all side families. Investigate them thoroughly. If anyone tries to resist, kill them!" Claine ordered without even needing to think about it. He had just ordered a complete cleansing of both families, from young to old.

"Your Majesty, I suggest just killing them off when you got the evidence you need. No need to keep them around and waste food. And shelter. A prison cell no matter how bad it is is too good for these kinds of people. So the shorter they have to stay in one the better." Kana did not want to deal with anything when hert five years in the academy were up. She just wanted to begin her new life.

"Mm… you are right. Let's do as you say. As soon as there is evidence that points to any crime, kill them!" Claine made his final decision and the decree was quickly written up. With these two families gone it would set an example for other families to not let him catch them doing wrongful deeds. He knew most of the nobles were corrupt and abused their power but most did so in a fashion that kept it from the public. Only a few families were outspoken about it. Hopefully this will deter some of these families.
