Chapter 699 - Trial End Part 2

Fan Sengya carried Kana all through the exit. When she arrived, Elder Shaun quickly took out a mid tier healing pill and fed it to Kana. "Take this and circulate your cultivation technique. It will help you heal your wounds."

Kana was barely conscious at this point and could only nod her head as she weakly opened her mouth, allowing Elder Shaun to put the pill in her mouth. It quickly melted and went down her throat. Its healing properties began to spread throughout her body even without her needing to circulate her cultivation, but she still did so. The wounds that were dripping with blood began to slowly heal. "She will need a few days of rest, but she will be okay."

"Kana, on behalf of Moon Crest Academy, I would like to thank you for everything you have done. You kept a rank three demonic beast at bay without being able to use spiritual qi, and this time you saved over half of the disciples who entered the trial. We are very grateful for your heroic actions.  You sacrificed your own body and blood to protect others even though you did not have to. You will be rewarded heavily for your actions." Elder Ning said while placing his old wrinkled hand on top of Kana's head. It was then that he realized Kana had fallen asleep. "She seems to be asleep. Elder Shaun, bring Kana to her quarters."

"Right away." Elder Shaun carefully picked Kana up and flew off with her as the rest of the disciples watched on.

"Elder Ning, will Kana Be okay?" Fei walked over, her arms bandaged up.

"She will be fine, just like you. In a way, she was lucky. I do not know what kind of armor she is wearing, but it was strong enough to cover most of her vitals. While she did receive quite a few wounds, none were fatal. She just lost a lot of blood and was exhausted." Elder Ning answered before floating up into the sky and looking down at the disciples who were all gathered there, some still receiving treatment.

He cleared his throat before he began to speak. "I hope you all remember this day. And remember how you all fought as one. You were a single entity. You helped your fellow comrades in arms and fought to the bitter end. I also hope you remember what one person did for you all. She sacrificed herself and fought covered in blood, exhausted and close to fainting due to blood loss. You will not see many do such a thing. Only when those who unit as one can you overcome odds that seem helpless. You may think you can not win and begin thinking, we are outnumbered, there is no way to win, but with unity and a strong will, you can sometimes create miracles as you have all experienced here today. While half of you may have died, half of you are still alive. You all fought well, and because of that, each of you will also be rewarded. You have all proven that you are more than capable of coming together and uniting as one. This is what we look for most in our Moon Crest Academy.

"And today, you have all become part of our sect. I hope you will all keep the same attitude that you have now. Never forget this tragedy and what you had to go through to make it through it all. This experience will help make you all better people in the future. I wish you all luck on your path of cultivation. You will all be led to your living quarters. Fan Sengya, Zhong Liuxian, Fei, you three will come with me." Elder Ning waved his hand, and the three he just called out were lifted into the air and hauled off by him as he flew in the same direction as Elder Shuan.

Within the outer area of the sect where the outer sect disciples lived and cultivated, Elder Shaun landed in a large courtyard. Within that courtyard, Liu Na was practicing her sword when she saw Elder Shaun show up. "Elder Shuan…. Kana!? What happened to her!?"

"She will be fine after a few days of rest. There was an accident in the trials, and Kana sacrificed herself to save as many as she could. Luckily she made it out. She will be staying here with you. Three others will be showing up soon as well. They are all new disciples but showed great leadership skills and were the ones who Kana befriended and showed promise, so we have high hopes for all three of them." Elder Shaun replied as she walked towards the main building before pausing her steps and asking: "Where did you set up Kana's room?"

"Ah! The main room. I took the smaller one to the right." Liu Na replied. Her eyes looked at the now sleeping Kana and felt pain in her heart when she saw the wounds on Kana's body. From head to toe, she was covered in claw marks and bites. Even her feet looked as if they had been pierced through by rocks. "I will help her wash up."

"Yes, that would be best. Just be careful around her wounds. Luckily even though she had fallen asleep, her cultivation is still rotating, which is speeding up the healing process."  Elder Shaun actually wanted to know how she was even doing it unless her body was doing it subconsciously.  She brought Kana into the bedroom and gently placed her down on the bed. "I will have someone bring more sheets for her later. For now, wipe her down and bandage her wounds. We will deal with the other things later."

"I will get right on it!" Liu Na ran off to get a bowl to hold water and some rags to clean the blood off Kana.

Back inside the room, Elder Shaun sighed as she brushed some of the blood soaked hair away from Kana's face. "You truly amaze me. So young yet put up such a strong fight."

If Kana had heard her words, she would have probably choked on air and felt bad lying about her age. She just didn't want people thinking something was off and being forced to reveal her true identity. Not that many would believe what she said, that is.. After all, even Tina had to hide who she truly was.
