Chapter 138 - Driving Home

It was an excellent experience riding in a Rolls-Royce, but Chu Ning wanted to use it to experience the pleasure of drag racing.

The power of a Rolls-Royce was comparable to that of a sports car. It could even drive at a speed of more than 300 kilometers per hour. However, the people who bought Rolls-Royces did not have the intention of racing. Firstly, they had dedicated drivers; secondly, the owners of the cars were generally older. Their calm temperament meant that they would not pursue excitement like youths did.

Chu Ning was driving a Rolls-Royce when she had not yet reached 18 years. It was as unbelievable as a baby who had just learned to speak and could already sing.

“No, no, no. This car is so expensive. Moreover, it is not suitable for racing.”

Xiaomi waved her hand. She was a little worried that there would be an accident on the road if they drove too speedily.

“You don’t have to worry about that. Watch me!” As soon as Chu Ning said that, Xiaomi felt a strong push coming from behind her.

The Rolls-Royce was like a black and elegant war horse, galloping recklessly on the wide road. Chu Ning didn’t honk the horn, but the cars blocking her line of sight all moved aside while Chu Ning was still accelerating.

“Enough, enough, Chu Ning. You can’t go any faster. My heart is about to jump out of my chest!” Xiaomi hurriedly exclaimed, turning her head to look at the constantly-climbing meter pointer.

“Okay, then I won’t accelerate!” Chu Ning looked at Xiaomi’s flushed face and had no choice but to stop accelerating. In fact, she hadn’t been speeding, but she had been accelerating too rapidly.

“Chu Ning, I think you must have been a wild boy in your previous life. No, you are one now,” Xiaomi said as she rubbed her chest.

“Annoying. I’m a girl; I’m not so rough. You are so annoying!”

Chu Ning was a little helpless. In order to take care of her good friend’s physical condition, she had had to slow down. After doing so, Xiaomi opened the car window, and Chu Ning did likewise.

However, their behavior attracted the attention of many car owners on the road.

Although the Rolls-Royce was prestigious and occasionally appeared on the road, it was almost impossible for two very young girls to take it for a ride.

Therefore, some of the shocked car owners were slightly absent-minded, almost causing a car accident…

“Chu Ning, aren’t we being a little too high-profile?” Xiaomi said softly, looking at Chu Ning. She felt a little shy under the gaze of the other car owners.

“What are you afraid of? I can drive my car however I want. It’s not like I’m stealing or snatching it. Xiaomi, be more confident. I’ll lend it to you after you get your driver’s license.” Chu Ning smiled.

“No thanks. I’d better study hard.”

Xiaomi shook her head. What a joke. Although Chu Ning was sincere, she wouldn’t borrow Chu Ning’s Rolls-Royce even if she got her driver’s license. Not to mention that she didn’t dare to borrow it, even her father wouldn’t dare to. Once she scratched or bumped it, the high maintenance fee would make her despair!

At noon, the two found a restaurant. Before buying the car, Chu Ning had promised Xiaomi that she would take her for steak. After lunch, Chu Ning sent Xiaomi to her doorstep before driving in the direction of the Chu family’s house.

However, she was still a little conflicted at the moment. If this Rolls-Royce appeared at the door of her villa, it might make a little sense. But if it appeared at the entrance of the Chu family’s place, it would probably cause a large crowd of neighbors to congregate and discuss it.

How could someone who could afford a Rolls-Royce live in such a neighborhood? Even if it was a visit from a relative, it would not be believable.

The gap between the two classes was too large.

Chu Ning thought about it and decided to park the car a little further from her own door. She would simply walk more.

When her Rolls-Royce slowly drove into her neighborhood and found a parking space, Chu Ning opened the driver’s door and got off.
