Chapter 1 - The Beautiful Villain Asks For A Divorce

The early morning hours were misty.

The water vapor aimlessly drifted about, following the lazy morning wind, languidly falling on grasses and branches, dyeing the dense thatches on both sides of the mainroad in a fresh green.

“Clop, clop……”

It was a regular day, but the people that filled the street automatically stepped from the street as they heard the melodious ringing of bells coming closer.

The steeds pulling along their resplendent carriage, accompanied with the crisp sound of their hooves hitting the ground, steadily moved forward and finally came to a hold before the main gates of the Guanfu with a long neigh.

It was early in the morning right now and Guanfu was again at its liveliest and most prosperous time. There was an endless stream of people coming and going. In this mysterious continent, everybody respects martial arts and folk beliefs were an integral part. There were already some enthusiastic guys excitedly watching from afar, forming a circle and standing on their tip toes.

It can’t be helped, after all the carriage coming from afar was made out of white jade and its window lattices were inlaid with bright white crystals, there were mysterious (Daoist) patterns quietly circulation outside of the carriage, the two horses pulling the carriage had small wings growing out of their feet and their long manes faintly glowed in the sunlight. One could see at just one glance that this was something extraordinary.

The carriage came to a halt, then the thin curtain was raised and a hand reached out.

It was slender and white, with well proportioned knuckles and its skin color surpassed even the finest porcelain glaze, the first rays of light weren’t scattering down upon it in small amounts, making it appear as if these fingertips were controlling it, dazzling everyone who sat their eyes on this scene.

Someone further away looked around and asked quietly: “Who is it that just arrived?”

“If you ask me, who should I ask then?”

“Shh… keep your voice down. Look at these horses! These are Black Kylin Horses/Xuanlin Horses. They’re spirits. I almost lost my life when I came across one in the mountains last time -The person in the carriage must be a noble, perhaps even a cultivator from somewhere.”

While the onlookers were whispering among themselves, the person in the carriage leaned out their upper body. thick, ink like, smooth, black hair fell over their shoulder– their face was adorned with narrow eyebrows and bright eyes, their skin was smooth and soft, clear and looked like snow.

The “girl’s” thin lips were deep red and although her expression was cold her eyes pulled people in with a faint wetness to it, her eyebrows seemed a little heroic for a girl but the shallow red marks at her temples weakened that impression.

An ice blue air current was coiling and circling around her, sometimes it even condensed into small icicles resplendently reflecting the light. The few people who stood close to her subconsciously moved up their hands to block their eyes and cover their heart. They dare not directly look at the “girl’s” face.

Not only a cultivator, she might even be an immortal that descended down to the human world!

Xie Ziyou firmly held onto the door frame and carefully stepped out of the carriage — he wasn’t used to wearing skirts so he just tripped over it and hit his forehead on the door frame. Although it didn’t really hurt it kind of felt a bit numb.

He looked up at Zhumen Yudi’s huge mansion, his gaze falling upon two characters “Guanfu” inscribed upon a cedar plaque framed by a pheonix made with red silk and a dragon made out of golden silk and couldn’t help but sigh with emotion: “How imposing”

Then the system chimed up in his mind: “It shall soon see its downfall”

Xie Ziyou slightly trembled inside his heart, his eyes looking down and he was completely silent.

Indeed, that’s what he was here for today.

Keeping that in mind, Xie Ziyou lightly flicked his sleeves, signalling the maidservant next to him to go knock at the door.

Just at that time, a handsome young man, sweating profusely, squeezed himself into the crowd.
