Chapter 171 - Another Step Towards Full Potential

When Hanon saw Trisha's state, he had already finished his job. But out of curiosity, he still looked into her future.

'I was asked if she will be able to overcome trauma and I didn't expect I have to see it by my own eyes instead rather than my Spirit.'

Upon looking at Trisha's future, Hanon was temporarily petrified.

"Um, Assistant Inspector?"

Trisha raised an eyebrow. This man was looking at her in a strange way. If Chihua was here, he would sense something out of the ordinary. But for Trisha, everything was fine.

There was a sense of complacency that welled within Trisha.

'There's nothing that can stop me.'

Overflowing confidence exudes from her aura. She had done it once again, her mother thought about her.

"Trisha..."

The mother smiled sweetly. Even she didn't notice anything particularly strange about Hanon. This gave him time to compose himself.

After he introduced himself, he asked her a few questions. It was just for formality but they were proper questions that Old Derman gave him not to arouse suspicion.

Trisha retold the scene without fluctuations in her eyes. Even the hanging guilt within her conscience could not be seen. She didn't remove this guilt. She was using it to take revenge someday. Although she was sure that the hat guy was already in jail, she felt that she was already prepared for the worst.

Trisha was then asked some questions regarding her opinion. An opinion is not something that should be needed in this kind of investigation. This led them to think that Hanon is actually working for the media. However, that was just a red herring placed by Hanon.

He became suspicious in the other way.

Even so, Trisha didn't care. Her stories can be published for all she cares about.

'A few hateful criticisms wouldn't even itch me.'

The Boss of the Public was still partly blamed for what happened. Without the video, not everyone was convinced that one guy can kill two people of a similar physique in public. It's either they're actually hosting an unruly death match or it was a setup. That's what the people believed.

Hanon mentioned that fact and Chihua fumed in anger towards the people who think that way. However, those people couldn't really be blamed as there was no evidence to support that what they ever did was host a 'simple fight'

Thinking about this, Chihua felt like he had no reason to be angry since they were really partly to blame. But as he looked at Trisha, he could feel that she's the strongest pillar there is. He saw it, her terrified eyes. He even expected for her to stay home for months but after just a day, she was out stronger.

Later, he will know that she's stronger in more than just one sense.

The investigation went smoothly, before long, Hanon left, leaving the Chihua's group in that house.

"Mother, Chihua, and... why are you her- actually, you four too, I want to show you something."

Trisha smiled as she said. Her mother didn't mind her lack of manners as she and Chihua's group followed Trisha to the backyard.

On their way, that was the only time Chihua's group saw the maids and servants in the house. It was bigger inside. Once they reached the backyard, Trisha whispered something to her mother which the mother replied with a smiling nod.

Without saying anything to them, Trisha just walked onto the huge boulder. The backyard has a beautiful garden. There are a lot of decorations and there are even large boulders to have that natural feel.

"Please, stand back."

Trisha's mother told Chihua and the rest which they complied. They were a little confused but at the same time, they have an idea of what will happen.

Trisha stood in front of the huge boulder. It was twice her height. At first, she picked up a rock and smashed into it.

Pak*

The rock exploded upon impact while the boulder was just scratched. After the dust settled, Trisha nodded, understanding the toughness of this boulder. Thus, she positioned herself with the concentration in her fist as if she was about to punch at her full strength.

Even Trisha's mother produced a bead of sweat. They know what will happen but they didn't know what to expect. Before, Trisha was strong enough to make that boulder crack. That was already intensely strong compared to the average human. So what will she show now? Will there be any change? Or is she trying to prove that she's still as strong as ever?

Before they could ask all the questions in their heads, Trisha huffed, her fist went forward, and a resounding sound banged in the neighborhood.

Crackle!*

It was as if time slowed down. All the witnesses' eyes opened widened. Not just dust but debris were shot in the directions opposite to Trisha. Each fragment was like bullets fired from a gun as the giant boulder was reduced to nothing but dust.

Plants were destroyed and even their tall wall at the very back was hit and cracked. If the boulder was a little bit closer when Trisha struck it, it wouldn't be a surprise if the wall fell down.

Time went back and everything happened too fast. The wind that blew was akin to what an airplane's engine would produce when Trisha's fist made contact with the boulder.

No one said a thing. Her strength didn't just increase, it was multiplied. However, Trisha and her mother knew very well... this was far from her true potential.

When she was a child, Trisha's strength was much much more that she had to live in the mountains with the strongest men their family had to offer. If not for the Ancient, they wouldn't be able to save her life.

But the difference was...

Trisha turned around after the clouds of dust settled. She smiled as she smashed her fist onto her other palm.

Pak!*

"Mother, I'm not even scratched!"

She had controlled her unconsciousness more than before and thus, her body was able to swallow the strength and not be affected by it. Trisha had stepped into another realm of strength.
