Chapter 34 - Shoo Them Away

"AHH~!"

There was a shriek in the background. However, neither Teren nor Clade said anything about it. But that doesn't mean they were curious.

'What was that?'

As he thought of that, he already noticed that Teren was running towards him.

'Fast!' Clade thought. He chose not to defend or dodge but to raise his fist in response.

"Fine then." he growled and launched his fist towards Teren.

While Iesa confronted Mike and Catherine, Nick was peeking his head through and watched the whole scene.

Everything happened so fast. Clade and Teren were already facing each other while the former had his heavy fist ready to pound the latter onto the floor.

'No matter how tough Teren is, he wouldn't be able to recover from that punch!' Nick thought.

A body fell onto the ground after a painful sound.

Nick's jaw almost fell onto the ground. A memory flashed before his eyes.

'On that day, I tried to punch him too but he dodged and hit my face instead! This is more extreme!'

With his sunglasses broken, Clade's face was disfigured with Teren's fist marking it. His eyes went white while blood from his lips splattered onto the ground.

"Nick, where's Iesa?"

Nick was too focused on what happened to Clade that he didn't notice Teren coming up to him.

"Ah... t-there..." Nick pointed with his free hand while trembling.

Teren peeked and saw that Iesa was unharmed. Not just unharmed but it looks like she was the one doing the harming from her domineering posture.

'Whew, I thought something happened to her. Although I can sense the malice of others towards me, I can't sense it if it's towards others...'

"Teren-!" Nick shouted before a hand covered Teren's face.

"Don't fuck with me!" Clade with a furious expression gripped Teren's head and threw him away with superhuman strength!

Teren was sent flying a few meters ahead, hitting the bed of broken hollow blocks with a crash.

Clouds of dust billowed, covering Teren's body.

"A-ah...!" Nick fell on his behind.

'I thought he was already down from that hit! How could he have so much strength!?'

When the sound of crashing resounded, Iesa who was questioning Mike and Catherine no longer cared and rushed to the scene.

"What was that?" Catherine sweated. She never felt so pressured by someone when suddenly that someone rushed to where a strange sound came from.

"Let's go find out." Mike pulled Catherine and followed Iesa.

Arriving at the scene, Iesa saw Clade being muscular than earlier. His coat seemed so tight now from his bulging muscles.

"What happened to Teren!?" Iesa shouted at Nick which the latter responded by pointing at the clouds of dust.

"Hm? You two..." Clade intimidatingly turned to them. His eyes now black which terrified the two.

That was when Mike and Catherine also arrived at the scene and saw the monstrous form of Clade.

"What!? I-is that Sir Hanon's friend!?" Catherine exclaimed in fright, not expecting his appearance to change.

"What's happening!?" Mike frowned.

"I was hoping no one can see us but it seemed impossible." Clade muttered as he walked towards them, "If only I can trust you kids to shut your mouths, I wouldn't dirty my hands of killing you."

"K-kill...?!" even Mike was stunned.

The situation escalated too quickly. Not to mention Catherine and him, even Iesa who heard can hear other's thoughts had a lot of questions in their head.

"What did you do to Teren!?" Iesa shouted. Although her legs were shaking, she stood in front of Clade.

"I threw that devil away."

"Y-you...." Iesa didn't get why Nick pointed at the clouds of dust earlier. But hearing this made her realize what happened. Her blood boiled but she knew that even if she were to step in, she wouldn't be able to do anything.

She could only glare, "If anything happens to him...!" however, she could not think of any threats.

Clade looked confused and thought.

'Is that devil hiding his strength from his girlfriend?' after this thought, he faced the clouds of dust and threatened.

"I'll deal with you later so If any of you four escape, I'll make your deaths painful!

"Eek!" Catherine shrieked and her legs felt weak. She could only clutch behind Mike and hide.

Fear overrode their body even if Clade didn't threaten them.

Clade ignored the four and frowned towards the clouds of dust.

"What are you waiting for?"

After he said this, a figure walked out of the dust, shocking Iesa and the others.

"Teren!" Iesa shouted with a smile.

Clade was just too monstrous in appearance that she couldn't help but be worried about Teren.

Everyone looked at the figure and just as Iesa shouted, it was Teren.

While his clothes got dirtied, not a single graze could be seen on him.

"I was hoping you could shoo the extra two away."

With soulless eyes, Teren looked at Mike and Catherine. He didn't expect these two to be there.

"There's no way I would shoo them..." Clade answered while he walked forward, "Although they didn't see your face, they saw mine."

"..." Teren didn't reply and just walked towards Clade.

As they got closer, Mike frowned.

"Teren is going get killed by that person! I... I'll go and help him!"

But Catherine pulled him and shouted, "No! Please don't! L-let's just call the police!"

"No!"

Both Catherine and Mike looked at Iesa who shouted at them.

"What are you, crazy!? That person just threatened to kill us!" Catherine cried and exclaimed even though she tried to be silent.

She didn't mind Iesa's response and took her phone out. Seeing this, Iesa snatched it away. With weakened limbs, it was like taking candy from a baby.

"You!"

"I said no, didn't !?" Iesa looked down on Catherine while Mike could do nothing.

'If they called the police, even Teren will be questioned!' Iesa thought.

While standing up on his own, Nick had his eyes stuck on the fight. At the same time, another painful sound could be heard.

"Teren... Teren made him fall again...!" he pointed in shock as he muttered.

"Huh?"
