Chapter 217 - For The Weak

Name:Psycho X Psychic Author:JhiThan_Ser
Jomar listened attentively to what Teren wanted to propose. Normally, as a CEO at a successful firm, he wouldn't even give a dent of his time to a child still in high school. Teren might not be an ordinary high school student but... Jomar didn't expect him to be wise in the field of business.

However, still, he listened. Teren says something that he doesn't know about, he will try to understand. Why? Because this unordinary student can and will physically harm him if he wants to.

"I propose that this Wolfang Company let itself absorb into yours."

Teren's proposal entered Jomar's ears.

"..."

However, even as a professional businessman, Jomar was unable to comprehend what Teren just said. With a solemn expression as if he's still listening, he was digesting what he just heard. That moment of digestion passed until he finally reacted.

"Wait, what did you say?"

Jomar asked with a dumbfounded face. Digesting the information was different from actually understanding it.

'Let our rival company be absorbed to ours? That's technically saying that we'll take them in. But that only happens in CEOs' wet dreams such as mine. Where in the world did this man take this idea from? I don't even know where to start how unrealistic this is! Did I overestimate this man?'

Jomar began to 'grasp' onto something.

'What if he's only abnormally strong yet insane? Maybe, he's living in an entirely different world in his mind like that. Understanding an insane man will only lead to nothing. But... can I deceive him into working under me?'

As a businessman, he took this unexpected encounter as an opportunity. Jomar began to see Teren as an asset.

"If that's possible, would you like that to happen?"

Teren then changed his wording the moment he realized that Jomar may have misunderstood something. And to this question, Jomar smiled and strongly nodded.

"Who wouldn't want that?"

"So you're agreeing to my proposal?"

"Ah..."

"Of course, I'm not saying it's free. There are a lot of conditions you should agree on before you take the Wolfang in."

Jomar was unable to reply as Teren kept going. However, he no longer took it seriously and just nodded while acting as if he's actually listening.

"Then, I'll go make the appointment. Expect someone from the Wolfang Corporation knocking at your door. It's not best to meet in public so that certain someone will be meeting you here, is that alright?"

"Yes, I'll welcome that person."

Jomar smiled but was actually thinking an entirely different thing.

'Who's this guy he's sending? Will this be a planned robbery? But no, currently there are no guards, and no matter how logic denies it, I've seen this man's ability. He can do whatever he wants right now so I wonder who this person is? Or maybe, I'm just overthinking it and this is one of his mad talks.'

Teren nodded in satisfaction.

Afterward, he left Jomar's place and went home. Night passed by quickly and when Teren came back early in the morning, he found something that he didn't expect.

"You have a fever."

Teren placed his hand on Trisha's forehead, a little surprised.

"A fever?"

Even Trisha was shocked as she waved her arms around.

"T-true, my body feels heavier than usual when I woke up."

"This is a physiological process so I wouldn't be able to heal you just like last time. Well, from all the stress you had these past few days, no matter how stupid you are, you will get a fever."

"Tsk!"

Trisha clicked her tongue and waved her hand in denial.

"Getting sick is for the weak. There's no need to worry."

"Admitting you're weak is a part of being strong."

Teren replied as he rummages his bag.

"Admitting you're weak only happens when you're actually weak. Do you really think I'm weak in the first place?"

Teren finally took out a thermometer while Trisha explains her somewhat logical argument.

"Say that when you're not sick and weak. Just foolishly denying that you're not weak when you actually is reveal that you're weaker than you think you are which you should be ashamed of."

"Grr!"

Trisha didn't know what to retort anymore. If she said that it's because her experience is just too extraordinary for any other people to handle, it's the same as admitting Teren's methods are getting to her.

But while she groan, Teren stuck the thermometer into her mouth. She crossed her arms and looked at the thermometer. After a while, she had a face of defeat.

"40.2, I'm no doctor but I can safely say that that's hot."

Teren frowned upon seeing the numbers. But he has already expected it when he touched her forehead.

"So what? You're going to make me do a lot of things, don't you? This is your fucking opportunity."

Trisha felt weaker now that she realized that she's in a bad state.

"No, let's say that today will be your rest day."

"Hahaha... what the hell? You're talking as if this is a training program that I signed up for."

"Yeah, shut up. Wait here, I'll go make something."

Teren was about to exit but Trisha stopped him.

"You're going to make food?"

"Yeah"

"You said that you're the one who cooked the last meals I've eaten, right?"

"Two of them."

"Then bring me with you, I want to see if you're lying or not."

Trisha said with a determined expression.

"Why would you want that?"

"... let's say I'm interested in cooking."

Trisha looked in the other direction as she said so. At that moment, Teren immediately understood.

'Amidst all the torture she experienced, the food was her only source of enjoyment. Maybe, she formed a special attachment towards it.'

"Sure, can you stand up?"

"Stop underestimating me. You should know how strong I am."

Trisha stood up but at the next moment, fell onto Teren's arms.

"Yeah, I know how strong you are and that's why I'm asking."
