Chapter 198 - Hellbeing

When Teren got home after a long walk, he received a message.

[This is Iesa, we're breaking up. If you survive, don't see me again.]

"This is obviously not Iesa, there's no emojis."

Teren smiled before silently staring at the ceiling.

"So it didn't last long."

"... as expected."

He stood up from the couch and went to shower. Upon opening the door to the shower room, Teren saw a tall person standing in it.

"Hello, Devil Himself... gosh, I'm excited."

"What are you doing in my house?"

Teren wasn't shocked to see this person. Instead, looked at him with cold eyes.

"I was told that you should be greatly weakened? Why is it that you look healthy? Albeit you look rather sad."

Teren sighed. It was a harsh day but now, a strange-looking man was in his shower room.

"Oh, that's right, your girlfriend literally backstabbed you, hahaha, what a drama and here you are, going to take a shower. You're weird as I heard you are!"

The tall man hunched over Teren and with an intimidating look, he finally introduced himself.

"Let me introduce myself first if you haven't heard of me. I'm called Million Blades, Million for short. I'm tasked to... silently assassinate you but it's like beating a dead horse. I'm kind of interested in you. You're too mysterious, even your sister and father want to kill you."

Teren had a bothered face at first before reacting.

"Wait, what did you just say?"

"Hehehe, that's right, I'm Million, third on the AWR, the strongest assassin."

Million smiled widely.

"Did you just say that my father wants to kill me?"

"..." Million then frowned.

'Does this kid not know me? Wait, maybe he had already accepted his death.'

"Yes, your father."

Million decided to play along.

"He's alive?"

"Wait, you think you're father is dead? What is going on with your family? Maybe that's why your sister and father want to kill you, did you try to kill your own father? Hahaha, that's messed up, dude."

After Million laughed, Teren turned around and sat on the couch. His head was lowered as if he's sadly pondering.

"... what's going on with this kid?"

Million picked his ears as he came out of the bathroom. Standing behind Teren, his right arm became longer and morphed into a blade.

"I don't really want to see an interesting kid like you die like this. I figure you will fight back. But oh well, you have a great bounty."

The blade was then placed towards Teren's neck.

"Any last word, Devil Himself?"

Million asked but didn't really wait for the answer. He immediately tried to finish the job to get the reward but...

'Hm... I can't move my arm?'

He looked and saw that his blade was being held by his target. Million was dazed for a while.

"I thought I was having a good day, bonding with my sister. But she got creeped out by me, then wants me dead, then my girlfriend backstabbed me, worst of all; she broke up with me, a weird man appeared in my bathroom, and now, you're saying me that damned man is alive!?"

'What... what's this black smoke coming out of him?'

Meanwhile, at the gazebo, Nature's head darted towards Teren.

"No... this is too fast!"

She disappeared and soon appeared within the same living room with Teren and Million.

"What the fuck?! Who's this beauty!?"

Million was getting confused by what's happening. But when he saw Nature, he was dazed a bit and soon, a thought appeared-

'Just how much would she sell in the black market?'

"Leave, I'll handle him."

Nature immediately said.

"Leave, fuck you, expensive woman! The reward's mine, you must've gotten the intel too but don't step in this!"

Million sweated as he tried to move his blade towards Teren's neck... but it was not budging.

'Just a little more, my reward! Then I'll take the woman and sell her! I'll be the richest person in the world overnight!'

"I said leave, Glel, even though you've reaped more lives than you could ever atone for, you need to live."

Nature explained, calling Million his real name.

"How's this bitch know... bah! So what!? This kid's head is mine!"

Nature glanced at Teren and panicked. Although she didn't show it on her face, she was desperate so she had no choice but, to tell the truth.

"Glel, have you heard of Hellbeings?"

"Huh? Why are you blabbing scary stuff out of the sudden, woman?"

The ground trembled as Million used his strength. When his blade was finally budging, he found hope that he will be able to take this kid's head.

"That boy right there is the Devil Himself, it's not just a title. If you still want to live, please, leave and let me handle him."

"... eh? Don't scare me with those fictions, who even are you?"

Since Million was not swayed by words, Nature have no choice. She didn't want to rely on this but she was forced to.

She changed form in front of Million's eyes.

"You... call me the Ancient..."

"Ancient?"

Million's heart sank.

"I'll show you how scary a Hellbeing is."

After changing her form, she stepped forward and put her palm forward. Fire rose and as if inferno have come to the surface, a swirling heat, making the surrounding become molten objects, came together with her palm.

Million was immediately struck as reality began breaking. He died but at the next moment, he returned to his original position before Nature have turned into a hellbeing.

"..."

He shook and immediately, he returned this arm into its normal form, slipping away from Teren's grasp before escaping throughout the window.

Nature no longer cared about Million and walked in front of Teren.

"Teren, listen to me. Iesa still loves you, the SSDA just forbids a relationship that's why she has to break up with you.. If you come to her and defeat all those stands in your way, you will be back together again."
