Chapter 190 - Bumper Car Chase

"If I remember correctly, we just drive this like this."

Teren said before getting the bumper car started.

"Ohh..."

It wasn't anything special but when they started moving, Seres whispered in a very low voice.

"They said that we shouldn't intentionally bump other cars."

"Even though it's called bumper cars?"

Seres asked with a 'what the hell?' face.

"Yeah-"

Bump*

While Teren was speaking, their car was hit. It was soft yet impactful that stopped his words. When the two of them looked at what hit them, it was obviously the other riders.

"Stop flirting!"

The kid riding the car that bumped them was laughing.

Indeed, a boy and a girl riding one car, they really look like a couple. Again, it's also because they don't really share the same facial features that most siblings have.

Thus, they became a target to the other kids.

Unfortunately for them, a fourth of children there riding bumper cars were friends. When their leader 'found' their target, the others soon followed.

"Flirting?"

Seres frowned but Teren wasn't really disturbed by it. He even subconsciously ignored it as he didn't care. But it seemed to affect Seres. However, she didn't show any signs of it.

"What are they doing?"

Teren asked while he kept avoiding the other kids that were evidently trying to get them. Since the area was chaotic, filled with bumper cars going to and fro, except for the riders themselves, no one wouldn't know that Teren and Seres were specifically being targeted.

"Kill the couple!"

"WAHHH!!"

The laughing and overexcited friends of children kept pestering and bumping into Teren and Seres' car.

Teren's movement was limited in the first place. Even if he tried his best, with five or more other bumper cars trying to pinch attack him from multiple directions, they will get bumped.

It was normal to get bumped in this amusement attraction, however, the times they were getting bumped double than the others. Honestly, it was getting obnoxious coupled with the children's annoying laughter every time they got bumped.

"Give me the wheel."

Seres held the wheel which Teren let go.

The race got heated. It was time to get serious. Teren looked at Seres' serious expression and smiled. He thought that his sister was different from before. She looked too mature for her age that Teren felt left behind.

However, looking at her right now, it didn't seem to be the case.

'Is she forcing herself?'

Teren was relieved that maybe, this was her chance to be herself...? He wasn't sure. All he knew was that his sister is completely different from the cheerful Seres from before. He wants to get to know more about his current cute sister.

But he was most relieved that he was thinking straight.

At first, he was scared that he may not feel anything towards his sister - that he will be cold-hearted just like the rest of the people.

'Maybe it's because of Iesa?'

Teren smirked at this idea but that smirk was wiped off his face when, out of everyone's imaginations, Seres made the bumper car drift!

That drift made her dodge two pursuers and turn to another direction where she drifted again. Teren and especially, the children were shocked.

The reason for Teren was quite different. He was shocked that Seres would actually take this too seriously.

"Heh, a bunch of noobs."

Seres whispered in spite.

"Get them!"

The leader of the children pointed and they became serious. The attacks have been more and more but almost all of them were dodged by Seres. It was as if she's calculating the random bumper cars, using them to block the attacks.

The leader of the children then saw Seres look at him.

"She's gonna get me, block her!"

That child felt like if he got hit, they will lose. Even though he has many allies, he will get hit? That means they are not good enough and just like what Seres said, a bunch of noobs.

The risk of this competition was sensed by the children and their fervor increased. They blocked Seres, however, they were not enough to completely make a barricade. The area was large enough for Seres to go through after unexpected maneuvers, not letting any child bump her.

Although some bumper cars hit her, they were not the children they were 'fighting' against but other riders. In her eyes, that did not count.

Seres saw the leader of the children getting scared. The child was looking back more and more, thus, him getting hit by others and deteriorating his speed.

"Reinforcements!"

That child shouted and immediately, Seres saw three more children look at her. The enemies just increased. It seemed that the others were harassing the other couples as well. Now that the leader of the children was in a pinch, he had to use them for protection.

Bump*

Bump*

Seres fumed after getting hit a few times and letting the other five or so 'enemies' catch up to her, letting her fall into a predicament.

"AHAHAHA! Try catching me!"

The leader of the children obnoxiously laughed with a snot dripping from his nose.

Seres gritted her teeth as she was not able to escape the predicament... that was when another hand gripped the wheel.

"You need another pair of eyes to win, let's go."

Teren said with a smile. Seres glanced and just nodded. She revved the bumper car and tackled two enemies, it was not enough to penetrate their block but Teren immediately spun the wheel and maneuvered as fast as possible.

Seres didn't know why but she let him. Right after they got out of that place, other bumper cars  bumped into the two.

"They're too many... that's not just their strength, it's also their weakness."

Teren said which Seres immediately understand. Using the enemies against themselves, Seres was exhilarated. Predicting when they will attack and use that against the others, finally, they have escaped the predicament.

"AH!?"

The leader of the children had his eyes widened when he saw Seres behind him. It didn't take long before the two of them caught up and escape the 'enemies'

Bump*

"NO!"

Looking behind, the child hit another bumper car, stopping his movement. At that moment- bump*

There was another bump...

"We won."

Seres said before taking out her gun and pointing the child. Teren, who was about to congratulate her immediately pulled down her arm.

"Wait, Seres, not in front of other people."

"Ah..." 

Seres snapped out of it. With a pause, she placed the gun back under her skirt.

"Sorry, I got too excited. The instinct I got from training acted up."

But then she frowned as she realized something...

"Wait, what do you mean not in front of other people?"
