“So if he doesn’t come back, I won’t get the Ancestor’s legacy?” Lin Feng asked calmly.

Dao Cheng Zi nodded again. “Indeed, Master. If you don’t deal with Sha Chou, you won’t get the Ancestor’s legacy. Hehe, to be honest, I feel angry for you. The Tian Branch chose you, yet now they want you to fight against Sha Chou to become the leader officially. How despicable! Hehe,” Dao Cheng Zi said provocatively. He was trying to infuriate Lin Feng on purpose.

Lin Feng’s expression didn’t change, but he was surprised inside. Words weren’t enough to describe how petty the members of the two branches could be. However, if it continued this way, things might get worse and Tian Dao Yuan might really divide into two different sects.

Lin Feng understood that the whole thing wasn’t a gift. It was troublesome. The tensions between the Dao Branch and the Tian Branch were a huge problem!

“Alright. Since I am supposed to be the new Master, I have to shake Tian Dao Yuan up a little, it seems. Hehe! I taught the Old Servant a good lesson. I could do the same to you. I could consider both the Dao Branch and the Tian Branch despicable,” Lin Feng said, smiling darkly.

The three Supreme Elders shivered. Lin Feng was threatening them. If Lin Feng refused to support the Dao Branch, then he might support the Tian Branch. That would be a catastrophe!

Dao Cheng Zi sighed sadly. He was just an old man. He was tired of having to think of everything all the time. Nothing seemed easy in life.

Dao Cheng Zi understood that the best strategy was to be honest with Lin Feng and support him. It was the only way for the Dao Branch to survive. To take control from the Tian Branch, they would need to wait until the next Master was appointed.

“Master, the Dao Branch supports you. Don’t worry,” answered Dao Cheng Zi, lowering his head.

Lin Feng was happy inside. He took a deep breath. Things were becoming easier.

“Alright, I understand, good. You can leave now,” Lin Feng said, waving them out impassively.

Dao Cheng Zi looked at Dao Xuan Zi and Dao Fu Zi; they all bowed hand over fist, went out, closed the door behind them, and left.

Lin Feng was now alone in the room. He took a deep breath. Even though the three men looked at him respectfully, they still had the Qi of the fourth Great Supreme God layer, which made Lin Feng feel pressured.

If Lin Feng had shown any sign of hesitation, dread, or nervousness just now, the three Supreme Elders would have stopped respecting him.

Therefore, Lin Feng had condensed Genesis Spiritual strength inside his body to protect himself from the three Great Supreme Gods’ Qi.

Outside, Dao Cheng Zi and the two others’ steps were heavy. They felt helpless.

“I didn’t think Lin Feng would manage to resist our Qi. He didn’t feel any pressure at all. He’s extraordinary,” Dao Cheng Zi admitted glumly.

Dao Fu Zi nodded and sighed, “We have no choice. We have to support him, unless we find someone more outstanding than him… but is that even possible? Of course it’s not,” said Dao Fu Zi, answering his own question. Dao Cheng Zi understood how important Lin Feng was for Tian Dao Yuan.

“Even though Lin Feng was chosen by the Tian Branch, the Old Servant showed his true colors, so it’s an opportunity for us. We have to seize it!” said Dao Xuan Zi gravely. They had to support Lin Feng, for the Dao Branch!

“Alright, let’s support him and make Tian Dao Yuan rise,” agreed Dao Cheng Zi, clenching his fists.

The Old Servant only cared about the Tian Branch, and it didn’t work out well for him!

In the Old Servant’s room, Ancestor Kong, Supreme God Tian Yuan, and some other elders of the Tian Branch had gathered. The atmosphere was gloomy.

“So, what can we do?” asked the Old Servant, frowning.

Ancestor Kong and the other elder lowered their heads and remained silent, but the elders weren’t happy with the Old Servant. He kept causing trouble. Were they supposed to clean up his mess now?

“What? You have no solution, or you haven’t thought about it yet?” asked the Old Servant, frowning angrily. He was disappointed with them.

What was better: opposing Lin Feng, or working with him?

Everybody remained silent, and the atmosphere was oppressive.

It was the first time the Old Servant had been in such a situation. It was a huge problem for the Tian Branch. However, it was all because of him!

He had shown his true colors to Lin Feng, and now there were tensions because of it.

The Old Servant had used the Tian Branch for his own benefits. Ancestor Kong had found Lin Feng, and the Old Servant had thought he’d be able to use Lin Feng as his puppet for his own benefits.

The members of the Tian Branch were really disappointed in the Old Servant. It was also the first time the Old Servant had the feeling people didn’t trust him anymore.

“I know you are not happy and think I am shameless. It doesn’t matter, though. I am still the leader of the Tian Branch. If you want to get rid of me, it will only be to the detriment of the Tian Branch, in which case the Dao Branch will win and absorb us.

“If you don’t trust me, just look at them; they have three Supreme Elders of the fourth Great Supreme God layer. The Tian Branch only has me. If I weren’t here, you’d be doomed,” warned the Old Servant.

Ancestor Kong and Supreme God Tian Yuan frowned. They were growing more and more angry, especially after having seen how infuriated Lin Feng was. However, they also knew that the Old Servant was the leader of the Tian Branch.

“Old Servant, I think we should work with Lin Feng. Stop infuriating him, or he will choose the Dao branch. We have to be careful,” Supreme God Tian Yuan finally spoke up.

The Old Servant looked at him, but remained silent and then glanced around.

“I agree. The Tian Branch should support Lin Feng. Our goal is to make Tian Dao Yuan rise so that we can face any danger. We don’t care about who controls the sect or not!” Ancestor Kong nodded.

The Old Servant’s expression shifted when he heard Ancestor Kong. The Old Servant wasn’t happy, but what could he do? Nothing. He couldn’t teach Ancestor Kong a lesson, or more and more people would give up, and the Tian Branch would be in danger.

“Alright, as you wish,” the Old Servant nodded.

But he was really unhappy. He still had a plan, though. Of course, it would take time, but he didn’t mind. He had time and someday, he’d control Tian Dao Yuan again!

The Old Servant didn’t intend to give up his ambitions!
