Chapter 11: Divine Art of Myriad transformation

No one came to disturb Zhan Chen in following days. He cultivated the energy of sun in the morning and the energy of moon in the night. He passed his days cultivating ardously but he grew more frustrated with each passing days.

The amount of heaven and earth energy was sparse to begin with in the Redcloud city and now that his cultivation speed was reduced due to the interference of Divine Yinyang diagram, he was getting more frustrated.

What frustrated him more was the fact that a slightly talented cultivator could attain the second stage of Meridian opening realm within three months but he could only attain it in nine months if he cultivated normally.

According to the Profound path of dual cultivation book, he could absorb Yang energy from nature or spirit materials but he couldn't use spirit materials to absorb the Yin energy. He could only absorb it from nature or from woman.

"Damn it. I am only waisting time", Zhan Chen murmured to himself. "Forget it, I will read the books stored in the diagram first", he thought to himself.

There were less than twenty days remained before his coming of age ceremony. Then, he would officially become an adult.

Zhan Chen lied down on his bed and extended his soul consciousness towards the mysterious diagram inside his mind. The diagram pulled his soul away and he found himself in the diagram space.

He walked to the high platform and picked up the book which was under the Profound path of dual cultivation book. It was the book he had seen earlier- The dark soul codex.

He sat down and pour his spiritual energy into the book. The book lit up with divine brilliance. Zhan Chen turned the page and looked at the content of the book. Like it's cover page, its other pages also contained divine language. After reading a bit, his eyes lit up with with interest.

Zhan Chen kept reading and he didn't know when he became engrossed in studying the book. The dark soul codex opened up a new world to him and Zhan Chen was like a thirsty man who got sacred water out of nowhere. He stopped only after he felt pain in his mind.

Zhan Chen came out from the space of divine diagram but he was still thinking about the content of the Dark soul codex.

"Soul spear, Soul absorption, slave seal!', No wonder master was termed as evil emperor. Dual cultivating with countless woman couldn't give him the title of evil emperor, he could only be termed as evil at most.

But when these insane devilish soul techniques were added, he was indeed qualified to be called as evil emperor", Zhan Chen muttered to himself.

"These dark soul techniques are indeed wicked. Increasing the strength of soul by absorbing the soul of other creatures. Building soul shield with the absorbed souls. Conjuring soul spear from a strand of the soul and using it to attack the soul of others. Controlling others soul by the slave seal technique", I must cultivate these awesome techniques. Zhan Chen muttered to himself with a grin.

He opened his eyes and spread his soul consciousness towards his door. He saw Little Tao waiting outside with an exhausted look on her face. His gaze fell upon the night sky and he understood why Little Tao looked exhausted. He was studying from morning untill now and Little Tao was waiting outside to give him dinner.

"Little Tao, come in", Zhan Chen shouted. A smile appeared on her face as she rushed in pushing the wooden door. "Have you eaten yet?", Zhan Chen asked her. She shook her head. Zhan Chen massaged his head. He knew this little girl Infront of him was very obedient but she was extremely stubborn when it came to some matter. She always waited for him no matter how much longer he took to eat dinner.

"Little Tao, no need to wait outside from here on. You can come inside whenever you want. Just remember not to disturb me when I am cultivating", Zhan Chen looked at her. Little Tao nodded with a sweet smile on her face.

Days passed by like the drifting cloud and Zhan Chen kept himself immersed in studying the Dark soul codex. His spiritual energy had increased since he cultivated the Celestial Yin Yang sutra and he could study almost twelve to fourteen hours in a day without feeling pain from spirit energy exhaustion.

"This Dark soul codex is indeed marvelous. it takes fourteenth days to completely study it but it is worth it. I can now solve the thing that is troubling me the most. I can change the aura of my soul with the soul imitation technique and noone in this world can identify me from my soul", Zhan Chen muttered to himself.

He closed the Dark soul codex book and placed it at its location. Then he pulled out the third book. He poured his spiritual energy and the cover page lit up with divine brilliance. The name of the book was "Divine art of Inscription". He studied it for a period then switched to another book. The name of the book was World of Divide herbs. He looked at it for a moment and switched to other books. Studying any of these book would take time and Zhan Chen was looking for a book which could immediately help him.

He switched some more books and finally a book piqued his interest. The name of the book was Divine art of Myriad transformation.

The book had very less pages but Zhan Chen became interested in it after studying it for a while. There was less than a week to his Coming of age ceremony and he decided to finish the book in this period.
