Chapter 57 - 57 The Attentive Liu Cheng

57 The Attentive Liu Cheng

Yin Xun looked at the time. It was only slightly past twelve. The time she had agreed to meet Liu Yi was two in the afternoon. It seemed that Liu Yi had arrived long ago and was too embarrassed to rush her, so he did this.

“I understand. Tell him I’ll be there soon,” Yin Xun said and hung up.

Although Liu Yi had brought the meeting time forward, Yin Xun would not ask him to wait any longer. As soon as Mary finished speaking to her, Yin Xun rushed to the restaurant Liu Yi had arranged.

Just as she had expected, Liu Yi and Liu Cheng were both there.

It seemed that Liu Yi had put in a lot of effort to bring up Liu Cheng. He even brought him along to discuss such an ordinary collaboration.

“Yin Xun, you’re here. Come, let me help you hang that up.” Just as Yin Xun walked into the private room, Liu Cheng approached her eagerly and reached out to help Yin Xun carry her bag.

Yin Xun was stunned by his actions. She quickly took a step back and looked at him warily.

Liu Cheng saw Yin Xun’s reaction and knew that Yin Xun had misunderstood him. He quickly explained, “I don’t mean anything else. I just want to help you hang up your bag.”

“Thank you, but there’s no need.” Yin Xun rejected politely and distantly. Then, she walked in and prepared to sit opposite Liu Yi.

Liu Yi saw his son’s abnormal behavior and immediately understood what his intentions were. He reprimanded him, “Lil Xun can do it herself. Why would she need your help? Don’t cause trouble. Hurry up and sit down.”

Liu Cheng did not pay attention to Liu Yi. He took two small steps forward and hurried in front of Yin Xun. He pulled a chair out for her and said, “Miss Yin, please take a seat.”

Yin Xun, “…”

Why did she feel like Liu Cheng had become a different person? Was he possessed? Why was he so attentive to her?

Something was amiss. She looked around the private room and silently calculated the best escape route.

“Rascal, don’t cause trouble for me. Hurry up and sit back!” Liu Yi scolded. Only then did Liu Cheng slowly return to his seat.

Liu Yi also knew that Liu Cheng’s behavior just now was not good, so he apologized to Yin Xun. “I’m sorry, Lil Xun. Don’t mind him. Sometimes, this child’s brain is not in the right place.”

“Dad, don’t…”

“Shut up!” Liu Yi glared at Liu Cheng. Seeing that Liu Cheng had obediently shut up, he smiled again and said to Yin Xun, “Lil Xun, I made a new contract according to your requirements. What do you think this time?”

Yin Xun took the contract and read it carefully.

She did not miss out on any detail. She read the contract carefully twice and confirmed that Liu Yi had done it according to her requirements and that there was no sneaky clause in the contract. Then, she nodded in satisfaction. “No problem. You can sign it now.”

There was no problem with the contract. Liu Yi and Yin Xun both signed and stamped it.

“Lil Xun, Uncle doesn’t know what you like to eat, so I ordered the whole menu. Last time, our negotiations didn’t go well, and you didn’t eat. Try eating this time. This restaurant’s dishes are not bad.” Liu Yi warmly invited Yin Xun to eat.

Yin Xun smiled and politely refused. “Thank you, Uncle Liu, but I still have something on. Since the contract has been signed, I should go. You guys eat slowly. We’ll contact you if anything happens.”

With that, Yin Xun stood up and left.

“Miss Yin, wait!” Liu Cheng chased after her.

Yin Xun stopped and looked back at him in confusion.

“Miss Yin, where are you going? Why don’t I drive you there?” Liu Cheng walked in front of Yin Xun and stretched out his hand, making an inviting gesture.

“Thank you, but there’s no need. My assistant is at the door.” Yin Xun rejected Liu Cheng’s invitation and left.

Mary, who had been waiting for Yin Xun at the door, also overheard Liu Cheng’s attentiveness to Yin Xun.

After leaving the restaurant, Mary looked behind her before she said, “President Yin, why would Liu Cheng suddenly be so attentive to you? Could it be that he wants to pursue you?”

“Pursue me?” Yin Xun recalled Liu Cheng’s character in the original book. He was timid and irresponsible. He was not firm in his actions and would always waver when he encountered problems.

She shook her head and said in disdain, “No, I don’t want to be distracted by unrelated matters.”

“So where are we going now?” Mary asked.

Yin Xun thought for a moment and said, “To Donggang.”

Since the contract had been confirmed, she had to personally discuss the next operation with Yu Tu. This project was too important. She had to ensure that nothing went wrong.

After getting into the car, Yin Xun planned to report the results of the discussion with the Liu family to Yin Cheng. She took out her phone and was about to call when her phone rang.

Looking at Yin Cheng’s name on her phone, Yin Xun smiled. She and Yin Cheng were indeed father and daughter. It was like their minds were connected.
