Chapter 582

"Are you sure about this Camilla?" Benedict asked as he glanced at his sister. He was driving them to the home he shared with Aiden.

"Want to go with you." Camilla said with a determined look on her face. "Plus think of it as sibling bonding." Camilla said with a shrug.

"Don't we get enough of that everyday?" Benedict teased her. They were now both working in the Reyes Group, both under Cedric.

With Lucius Ting standing as a threat to Mor Co., Cedric decided to play a more active role in the company. He had asked Camilla and most of the higher ups of Mor Co. to move their offices to R Tower.

"Yeah, and you're so clingy that you want to have lunch together everyday." Camilla said, rolling her eyes, thankful that her brother decided to lighten the mood.

"Well sister dearest, we have years to make up." Benedict said with a laugh as they drove up to the now abandoned house. "Plus it's not like you have friends."

"Benedict!" Camilla shouted angrily as he hopped off of the car and opened the gates. His staff hadn't moved in yet, so it would just be him and Camilla for the rest of the day.

Cedric had decided to offer them some help through his security team, while Benedict filled out the rest of the staff.

He really did need to hire people for when his home at Mountain View was completed.

"We forgot something." Camilla said with a laugh as Benedict returned from opening the gates.

"What?" Benedict asked his sister as he parked the car.

"Groceries!" Camilla said with a laugh.

"Oh," Benedict said, giving his sister a confused look. "Can't we just order in today?"

"No." Camilla said shaking her head. "I  want to cook for my older brother today."

"Fine, just unload your things from the car then you can take it to the grocery store." Benedict said with a shrug as he got out of the car and opened the trunk.

They expected to stay at this house for quite a while so they packed enough clothes to last them a few months.

"Which room do you want to take?" Benedict asked Camilla as he helped her take out her suitcases.

"Not the guest room." Camilla said, shaking her head. "That's where they kept me for a while." She said with a frown as she recalled the painful memory.

"You can take my old room and I'll take Aiden's room." Benedict said with a nod, understanding his sister's pain.

"Has it been cleaned?" Camilla asked as she remembered all the blood and debri from the fight Aiden had with Cedric.

"The day after the attack, Cedric had this place cleaned." Benedict explained. "You don't need to worry."

"Thanks." Camilla said with a smile.

"I also had most of the furniture changed and there are new sheets." Benedict said with a shrug. "You know I was supposed to sell this place, I even already had a buyer, but for some reason things kept failing to fall through. I guess it was a blessing in disguise."

As they entered the house, Camilla was surprised to see that it was now painted a different color. Gone was the drab dark room and heavy curtains, the interior of the house was now white with wooden finishes and accents.

It seemed like Benedict had brought the house to a new level of sophistication, it seemed much more habitable now.

"I'm surprised that no one bought this place yet." Camilla said as she took a look around.

"Fate, I guess." Benedict said with a shrug as he led his sister up the stairs to the second floor of the house.

Benedict's old room was to the right of the staircase while his new room, Aiden's old room was to the left. He guided Camilla to the room and opened the huge double doors for her.

Inside, Camilla was surprised to see the layout. There was a small receiving area that was gender neutral with light tones.

"To the left is the office." Benedict explained as he pointed at a door. "There is an entrance to the office from the main hall as well, this is just quicker access from the bed room."

Camilla nodded as she continued walking into the room. There was another pair of double doors that separated the receiving area from the main bedroom.

She pushed them open to find a more modern bedroom than she expected.

"I had it changed up a bit." Benedict said with a shrug. "This room used to be much darker, I guess it reflected how I was before, dark, angrym, and brooding."

Inside there was a large king sized bed, on one side of the room was a large window that gave Camilla a view of the front yard and the street.

"It's good for natural light." Benedict said with a shrug. "The window is one way and the glass is bulletproof, in case you were worried. Over there is the walk in closet and the bathroom."

"Is this the master's bedroom?" Camilla asked, looking up at her brother.

"No, I designed this place so that Aiden and I hade equally large rooms, and I added a third." Benedict said with a shrug.

"A third?" Camilla asked as she gave him a confused look.

"A third room, for you." Benedict said with a laugh. "But after what happened between Aiden and us I decided that things would probably never turn out the way I always dreamt."

"And how was that?" Camilla asked her brother.

"Well, ever since I was a child I had always hoped that the three of us would live in the same house together again." Benedict said with a shrug.

Camilla frowned at her brother, she knew that dream was shattered the moment Aiden kidnapped her.

"I had that big room changed into some smaller ones, in case the people that bought this place had children or something." Benedict said with a shrug.

"This place is amazing, Benedict." Camilla said with a smile. "Who knew you were so artistic."

"Well, someone gave me advice." Benedict said with a shrug.

"Who?" Camilla asked, curious as to who her brother would have approached.

"Veronica." Benedict said with a nervous laugh. "She was, errrr…. Nice."

"Yeah, Veronica is not your typical woman." Camilla said as she placed her luggage aside.

"Let's get everything else down so that you can head on over to the grocery." Benedict said as they headed back to the car and unloaded their bags.

When everything had been taken out, Benedict handed the keys to his sister and waited for her to disappear from his view before finally moving to close the gate.

After closing the gate he immediately went into the house and took out his phone.

"Yeah?" Came Cedric's voice at the other end of the line.

"I've seen them watching." Benedict said as he took a peek at the street from his own room.

"Do you think they know who you are?" Cedric asked.

"I think my brother may have told Lucius about me. I caught a few of their emails." Benedict told Cedric.

"It's good if he knows who you are. If he does, then he won't hesitate to approach you." Cedric said in a confident tone.

"Let's just hope that my brother sent him a photo." Benedict said with a smile.

"Keep me updated, and don't go to the office you and Camilla can work from there." Cedric instructed as he dropped the call.

Benedict threw his phone on the bed and began to unpack, who knew that his dream of a peaceful life would be shaken so soon.
