Chapter 512

Name:Never Judge Author:wounded_warrior
Emilio's birthday was one week away, Cedric had agreed to Dave's plan on the condition that Adrianna agreed to it too.

He knew that throwing a birthday party for Emilio in such a sensational way would thrust his small family into the spotlight again, but he had to hand it to Dave, he liked the idea.

Dave's plan would not only bring Lorisa and her son to them, but it would also help in teaching Emilio a valuable lesson. Add to that the fact that he would be giving back to the community with what Dave had suggested.

"Hey Adri." Cedric said in a loving tone as his wife picked up his call.

"Ced, it's the middle of the day. Why did you call?" Adrianna questioned her husband, Cedric could sense the suspicion in her tone.

"Can't I call my amazing wife whenever I miss her?" Cedric said as he attempted to butter her up.

"What did you do?" Adrianna asked in an annoyed tone.

"Nothing, nothing." Cedric said with a laugh. He found her tone quite amusing, if the public knew how much the Reyes Group CEO feared his wife they would laugh at him.

"So why did you call?" Adrianna asked.

"I was wondering if I could pick you up after work, then maybe you, Yoyo, and I could have dinner somewhere nice." Cedric suggested.

"By nice, which restaurant of Ray's are you suggesting?" Adrianna said in an amused tone.

In the past year Ray had opened up several popular restaurants and he had added the food industry as one of his new financial playgrounds.

"I was thinking we could go to Bamboo Room." Cedric said with a smile. "It's a classic, and this time we don't need to go there as some unknown couple. It would be nice to eat in my friend's restaurant without people looking down at me." Cedric laughed.

"Are you doing this for your own vanity?" His wife asked with a laugh.

"Partly." He teased back. "Plus I wanna show off how good looking my wife and son are."

Cedric knew it didn't hurt to drop some praises here and there to put her in a good enough mood.

"Okay, fine." Adrianna said in a happy tone. "I'll be off at six. Do you think Ray could get us a table for 7pm?"

"Adri, Ray keeps his table empty at all times now." Cedric said with a laugh.

Despite Ray having opened up several high end and popular restaurants everyone still wanted to dine at the Bamboo Room. It was probably because all of his famous and powerful friends all still preferred to eat there.

"Alright." Adrianna said. "I'll see my two handsome men tonight."

"We'll pick you up. See you." Cedric said as he dropped the call.

As Cedric dropped the call Ayanna came charging into his room with Emilio following her quite excitedly.

"What's this news about a birthday party I'm hearing?" Ayanna asked as she sat on her brother's desk.

"Could you not do that!" Cedric complained. "Those documents are important."

Ayanna shrugged and jumped off of the table. Cedric sighed at how childish his sister was acting, his three year old son was more mature than her.

"Dad!" Emilio said as he suddenly appeared next to Cedric.

"Hey Yoyo." Cedric said, picking his son up and placing him on his lap. "Were you the one that told your auntie Ayanna about the party?"

Cedric had of course asked his son first if he wanted to celebrate his birthday with a lot of people, he wasn't surprised when his son quickly agreed.

Emilio had lived a sheltered life, he rarely got to interact with other children, something Cedric hoped would change when he sent his son to school.

"It wasn't Yoyo." Ayanna said with a laugh. "Ray told me about the idea this morning and he called earlier to tell me that you agreed to it."

"Well nothing is final yet." Cedric said with a frown. "I still need to get Adrianna to say yes." He explained to his sister.

"She'll agree." Ayanna said confidently. "Anyway, I'll draw up a list of event planners, we  can also use the Reyes Group's events team as well."

"Ayanna, I don't want to use them to plan this. That's an abuse of power." Cedric reprimanded his sister.

"First of all it is not. This birthday party will benefit the Reyes Group a lot, anything involving your happy family makes consumer confidence grow, thus making our sales go up, it also increases our stock prices, so this could easily be a corporate event." Ayanna explained.

"Still no, it's a kid's party." Cedric told her.

"And a charity event. Secondly, they would be more than happy to be involved. Have you not seen how excited the employees act whenever you take Emilio around the building with you?" Ayanna asked her brother, who simply shook his head. In the office Cedric kept his cold and strict demeanor.

"They adore the new Reyes Heir, let them do it." Ayanna insisted.

"Okay, but Adrianna needs to agree first." Cedric said with a laugh. "Speaking of which, it's almost 6pm." Cedric said as he looked at his watch.

"What happens at 6pm?" Ayanna asked her older brother.

"I'm having dinner with Adri and Yoyo at the Bamboo Room." Cedric said with a shrug.

"No you aren't." Ayanna said, shaking her head.

"Why not?" Cedric asked as he gave his sister a confused look.

"Cause Ray and I are having a date at the Bamboo Room tonight." Ayanna said with a laugh. "You forgot to call my husband haven't you."

Cedric sighed and closed his eyes, Ayanna had barged into his office before he could even call his friend, of course he forgot.

"It's okay." Ayanna said with a smile. "Just join us."

"Can I ride with Auntie Ayanna?" Emilio asked his father in a sweet tone. Cedric laughed at how his son was trying to manipulate him to agree.

"Of course Yoyo." Cedric said with a laugh. He was more than willing to let his son ride with his sister since it would give him some much needed alone time with his wife.

"Why do I feel like you were the one that used me here?" Ayanna said with a laugh. "Come on Yoyo, let's go pick your uncle Ray up from work."

"Bye guys." Cedric said with a smile as he watched his sister and son walk out of the room.
