Chapter 441

Name:Never Judge Author:wounded_warrior
Alexi arrived a little bit later than Cedric, he made sure to show more affection towards Jen this time, so when they got into the car he decided to make out a little bit with her. He tried his best but he felt disgusted with her lips as he felt her want more.

"What's wrong?" Jen asked as she broke off the kiss. "You've been really cold lately."

"I've been stressed with work, that's all." Alexi said in a tender as possible tone as he could muster. "I would never be cold to you."

"That's good to hear." Jen said as she looked up into his eyes. Alexi tried to see if she still had any doubts, but Jen was masking her emotions perfectly.

"Jen, if you're still bothered by me not setting a wedding date, please tell me." Alexi said in a pleading tone. He felt appalled by the way he was speaking, this woman broke into his sister's lab, stole from her, and hurt their friend. If he had his way she would be in the gutter somewhere by now.

"I just don't understand why you don't want to set one." Jen said as a tear fell from her eyes. Alexi had to hand it to her, she was a great actress. If he hadn't known the truth he would have definitely fallen for those tears. Unfortunately for Jen, he knew the truth now.

"Jen, you know how my family is. This engagement and wedding need to work to my advantage politically." Alexi explained as he tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear. How he wished he could reveal to the world what a horrible person she was.

"Oh, is that why?" Jen asked with an embarrassed look on her face. Alexi still had no plans of putting his guard down, he wouldn't be played like a fool again.

"Yes, why baby, were you worried it was something else?" Alexi asked as he gently caressed the side of her face.

"You'll laugh at me." Jen said with a blush. Alexi was surprised that she could blush on command like that. A part of him wanted to believe her, but the evidence was just too much.

"Tell me baby." Alexi said as he planted kisses on her neck.

"Mmmm, Alexi." Jen moaned. "I thought you wanted me to tell you?"

"Okay, I'll behave." Alexi said with a fake laugh as he backed off and lifted his arms. He could act too.

"I was worried that you fell in love with someone else." Jen said as she played with her hair.

"Baby, who would I fall in love with if not you?" Alexi asked as he lifted her chin. He might have hated his actions but he knew they were for a bigger cause.

"Selina." Jen said in a weak voice, but it was loud enough for Alexi to hear.

"Why would I fall for someone I hate?" Alexi hissed. He wasn't happy about having to speak ill of Selina, but he had to. Selina would understand anyway, plus what were they but friends. "That bitch deserves to rot in hell for what she did to you."

"Alexi, no. She was my best friend, and I truly loved her." Jen said in a sweet tone that now disgusted Alexi.

"Once everything is better and we're married, I'll have someone deal with her." Alexi hesitated as he spoke the word married, he would never marry Jen. "Things are complicated right now, the Ramirez's are old family friends and I can't go after their daughter for a girlfriend."

"Alexi, you don't need to go that far. All that matters is how you see me, that you love me and believe me." Jen said as she placed a hand on his cheek and leaned forward to plant a chaste kiss on his lips.

"I would love to do more damage to those lips of yours." Alexi said in a gruff tone. "But we have a wedding to go to." His tone was not like that due to desire, but rather because of the anger he felt for Jen.

When they got to the venue Alexi wanted to laugh when he realized where he and Jen would be seated. Their table was behind Cedric's and some of his other friends, he was seated with Ram, Francesca, Selina, and Helios, Selina's twin brother.

"This is a joke right?" Alexi asked Ram as he took his assigned seat in between Jen and Selina.

"Nope." Ram said as he resisted letting out a laugh.

Alexi looked at Selina and she gave him a knowing and understanding look. She knew he had to be mean to her today, Jen was next to him.

"Who came up with this arrangement?" Alexi asked.

"Do you want to get mad at Katerina and Adrianna?" Ram said with a laugh. He knew that the seating arrangement had been changed by the two at the last minute.

Alexi could do nothing but, groan as he felt Jen slip a hand on his thigh. For some reason he felt guilty that Jen was doing just a physical act towards him in front of Selina.

"Jen, not the place or the time." Alexi said in as warm a tone as possible as he could despite the negative emotion he was feeling from her actions.

"Sorry." Jen said in a shy voice.

Alexi's eyes flickered to Selina, who was seated next to him. Selina simply smiled and nodded, he wanted to reach out and explain to Selina what was going on. He was confused and conflicted as to why he felt the need to do so.

Before Alexi could do or say anything, Eric went up on the stage and smiled at the audience. Many of the younger guests were fans of him, even among those that were in their 40s Eric had fans.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, guests." Eric said with a grin. "Please rise and join me in welcoming our newly wedded couple, Mr. and Mrs. Raymun Laurence."

Everyone stood and began to clap as Ray and Ayanna entered from the huge double doors or Constellations' grand ballroom.
