Chapter 254

Name:Never Judge Author:wounded_warrior
Nicole drove to the bar Katerina had taken them to in the past. She parked her car at the entrance and changed from her rubber shoes to a pair of seductive stilettos. Before leaving the hospital that night she had changed to a black dress for their date, it seemed she had actually dressed for a night at the club instead.

When she walked up to the entrance the bouncer let her in and a manager greeted her. She waved him off and found a spot at the bar. She ordered a margarita and started drinking, at first some men tried to buy her a drink or get her to dance with them. Nicole was quite a beauty, she had light skin which contrasted perfectly with her jet black hair. She had no intention of entertaining other men, she still loved Ian, she just wanted to clear her head.

"I never thought you were a bar kind of girl." A familiar voice said next to her. She sighed, she didn't have any patience today to deal with people she knew. She just wanted to drink and get drunk in peace.

Nicole looked at the man who had just spoken to her and she was surprised to see that it was Lucas, a former classmate of hers whom she dated back in University then again in Med School, but nothing serious happened between them, he just asked her on a few dates that never turned out how Nicole had pictured them. He was one of the most popular boys in school, smart, rich, and good looking, to everyone he was the complete package. It was only natural that he dated the daughter of the most respected medical family around. During the time they dated people already assumed that the Chans would encourage Nicole to be with him, he fit their family perfectly. However, the thing with relationships is that it goes beyond what others perceived.

"I go out from time to time." Nicole said with a shrug, as she ordered another glass. The bartender eyed her suspiciously since it was her third glass of alcohol and he didn't want to have to call a bouncer or the manager to figure out who to call for her.

That's odd, no bodyguards, no girl friends, and no overprotective brother. Are you out alone?" Lucas asked. He was quite familiar with the people who revolved around Nicole, she wasn't showy about her wealth or her connections, but there was a bare minimum that had to be around her at all times.

"It's none of your business." Nicole said coldly. She didn't want to talk to him, she wanted to be alone. She wanted to drink alone.

"You can't still be mad about before, Nicole." Lucas asked as he tilted his head. Nicole looked at his handsome face, there was no denying that Lucas was good looking, but she thought Ian still looked much better than him. She pushed away the thought of Ian, she was drinking so that she wouldn't have to think of her boyfriend tonight. She didn't want to say something accidentally that would hurt him or their relationship. It was already on thin ice from the start because of her family, she couldn't afford another blow to it.

"That's all in the past. I'm just not in the mood for one of your games." Nicole said, brushing him off.

"But Nicole, you always liked my games." Lucas said with a grin.

"Not tonight." Nicole said. "Leave." She warned.

"Let me guess. Boy problems?" Lucas asked as he moved closer to Nicole, she reacted by moving away. Unfortunately the stool she was sitting on was unstable and it ended up tilting, she was sure she was going to fall when she was caught by Lucas' strong arms. He helped her back up, but she moved the stool before sitting back on it.

"I said it's none of your business." Nicole hissed.

"Oooohhh, I hit a sore spot. You always had really bad luck when it came to the opposite sex." Lucas said with a sexy laugh. Nicole had to admit the way he laughed was quite attractive. She saw several women in the bar checking him out as his laughter reached their ears. She wanted to shout at those women and tell them to take him away, she wasn't in the mood to deal with him.

"Why don't you join me at my table over there. I promise to keep my hands to myself and behave." Lucas said as he raised his hands.

Nicole hesitated and was about to reject his offer.

"Look Nicole, it's better than sitting here and having a hundred other guys try to buy you a drink or get you on the dance floor." Lucas said, grabbing her wrist. "You don't know which of those men will insist and get physical. At least with me you're safe." Lucas said as he stared into her eyes.

Nicole sighed, Lucas had a point. "Fine." She finally said.

Lucas smiled, picked up her drink, and walked her to the VIP couch.

"So who's the lucky guy?" Lucas asked.

"No one you know." Nicole said.

"So just a boy toy?" Lucas asked as he moved closer to Nicole.

"No." Nicole answered.

Lucas waved over a waiter who brought them some drinks, they were stronger than what Nicole was used to but she drank them anyway. She needed to relax, to destress. Her argument with Ian earlier was too heated.

Nicole lost count of the number of glasses she drank. She just sat on the couch with Lucas and swayed to the music.

"Did I ever tell you how pretty you look when you're dancing?" Lucas whispered.

Nicole just laughed at what he said, she just rolled her eyes and ignored his flirtatious comment.

"I'm serious Nicole!" Lucas said.

Nicole jumped as she felt Lucas wrap an arm around her waist. She squirmed to get out of his arms, but he pulled her closer. She felt his body press against hers, she knew she had made the wrong choice.

"Lucas, N -" Before Nicole could tell him no, Lucas pressed his lips on hers.

Nicole struggled to get out of his arms, but he was too strong for her. She felt him touch her as she continued to fight him off. His hand slipped under her skirt, Nicole gasped in shock and in disgust. She soon regretted her reaction as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, Nicole continued her struggle as he pressed his weight on her.

No one came to her aid, in the midst of the loud music and flashing lights Lucas made it seem like they were just a couple that couldn't wait to get a room.
