Chapter 896 - 896

Name:Never Judge Author:wounded_warrior
It felt like an extremely long and exhausting day for Camilla. As if time had decided to move slower than normal.

When she had asked Cedric if she and Guan Ming could be reunited, she didn't expect him to agree. After all, it wasn't exactly the smartest or best plan possible.

There were still many threats and it was incredibly dangerous for them to make public their relationship. It was something Lucius Ting could use against Guan Ming and Cedric, but to Camilla's surprise, Cedric gave in.

He had also asked that she bring her brother, Benedict, along to Mountain View Mansion. It seemed that Cedric had a special role for him and needed him as close as possible.

She and Benedict packed up what little things her brother had managed to take from their home and bring to the Reyes Mansion.

"Camilla." Emilio Reyes said with a sigh as he gave her a sad look.

He and his friends had been like second fathers to her, they had made sure that she had nothing to want in life and had even given her the job that led her to Guan Ming.

"Uncle Emilio." Camilla greeted him with a small smile unsure of where she stood with him.

Technically, Camilla had lied to him about Guan Ming, hidden her relationship with him for years as the older man tried to set her up with good men.

"Oh don't be a stranger, little girl, you are still that sad child to me." Emilio Reyes said as he stretched out his arms and called her over for a hug.

Camilla could feel as the tears began to fall from her eyes. She ran up and hugged the former CEO tightly.

"I'm sorry your adoptive parents can't be around." Emilio Reyes said as he continued to hold her tight.

Cedric had sent most of Camilla's and Benedict's family to Spain where they would be safe and where Cedric was sure Lucius Ting would not be able to touch them.

Camilla's adoptive parents were with Cedric's cousin, Ace. While Camilla's and Benedict's grandfather was with the Carpio family.

Over the past few years, the Carpios and Reyeses had made peace and they were slowly starting to work together once more. This made Emilio happy, especially since Camilla belonged to that family as well.

"Uncle Emilio." Camilla sobbed as she let out all the emotions she had been keeping hidden. All her life she had been expected to be the brave young girl and it was only with her adoptive fathers and Guan Ming that she could be vulnerable.

"What is it, Camilla?" Emilio Reyes asked as he patted her on the back knowing that she needed comfort.

Camilla reminded Emilio Reyes very much of his own daughter, Ayanna. Strong and powerful but also vulnerable at times. It was something most people forgot about women like them, they were also human and they could hurt too.

"Uncle, I'm afraid." Camilla said as she sobbed into the older man's chest. "I love Guan Ming and I know he loves me, but what if he's changed? What if I've changed?"

It was the first time Camilla was airing out these worries of hers, not even Cedric or Ian had heard her hesitate about her relationship with Guan Ming.

"Camilla, dear sweet Camilla, if Guan Ming loves you he will wait. He won't force you and he will make you feel at home because he will be your home." Emilio Reyes said as he tried to comfort the sobbing woman. "And if he isn't the one, you will always have a home with us. Plus you have your brother."

Emilio Reyes grinned at the young man who was standing behind Camilla.

Benedict didn't say a word, he simply shrugged. He knew that he and his sister had a lot of lost time to make up for, even more than her and Guan Ming.

"Thanks Uncle." Camilla said as she gave him a hug.

"Now go take down that bastard, we old people will be here to help you in whatever you need." Emilio Reyes said with a wink.

Camilla nodded as Benedict went to the door and called for several members of the help to take their bags to the helicopter Cedric had sent.

Emilio Reyes accompanied them to the chopper that had landed behind his home.

"I'll miss having you and Benedict around." The older man confessed. "It'll be me and the old people again and that's quite boring. I wish I could come along."

"Why don't you ask Cedric?" It was Benedict that asked this time around.

The older man shook his head and smiled.

"It's more practical for my family to be in two separate locations, it helps for contingencies." Emilio Reyes said with a sad smile. "Give my grandson my love and tell Adrianna to keep kicking Cedric's ass."

Camilla laughed and gave Emilio Reyes one last hug before finally getting on the helicopter.

As soon as final checks were done the helicopter lifted off the ground and took them to Mountain View Mansion.

As they passed through the city, Camilla couldn't help but recognize important buildings such as R Tower, the Airport, Mor Co., and even Ian's Lim Group headquarters.

The trip didn't take long and they soon landed at Mountain View where Adrianna, Ayanna, and Katerina were excitedly waiting for her.

She knew that Nicole and Veronica would probably be at the Chan Residence as they tried to get more leverage on Lucius Ting.

"You're finally here!" Katerina exclaimed as she pulled the siblings away from the helicopter while the staff carried their bags down.

Camilla noticed several other staff carrying bags towards one of Cedric's guest houses located at the back of the mansion.

"Cedric had some people get your things from home and Guan Ming's staff are already here." Adrianna explained. "You and Guan Ming can take the guest house Miguel and Veronica lived in, while his staff will occupy the smaller ones."

"What about me?" Benedict asked as he pointed at himself.

"Uncle Benedict!" Yoyo shouted as he jumped into the man's arms.

"That boy didn't want you to stay outside of the mansion, so we've set you up on the second floor." Adrianna explained with a smile.

"Thanks." Benedict said.

"I think I'll get to work." Camilla told the girls as she made her way towards the guest house.

"Are you sure you don't want to rest first?" Katerina asked, worried about her eagerness to work.

"I honestly just want to get this over with already, I want to do my part." Camilla said with a determined look on her face.

Adrianna was about to say something when Katerina placed a hand on her shoulder and shook her head.

"We'll have someone bring you food and to notify you when the boys are on their way back." Katerina told Camilla as she let the other woman go.

As soon as Camilla was out of earshot Ayanna sighed and shook her head.

"I don't blame her, even I feel like I should be doing something to help." Ayanna admitted.

"She'll feel better when Ming arrives." Benedict told them. "For now, let her have her space and let her work. It's where she feels most comfortable."

The women nodded at him as they turned around and headed back into the mansion.
