Chapter 7 - A Big Backer

“Anytime.” Luo Qianqian didn’t care, she would just roll with the punches.

Prime Minister Luo just went back home from the court, seeing the shattered wall, he frowned, “Who did this?”

Hearing her father’s voice, Luo Yuyan called in delight, “Daddy?”

Luo Keer was more dramatic, she threw herself into Prime Minister Luo in tears like she was treated wrongly, “Daddy, please set things straight for me. The Fourth Sister, she… she bullies me.”

Prime Minister Luo frowned harder, he laid his eyes on Luo Qianqian with disgust in his eyes, “How come it’s you again?”

It was hard to imagine Luo Qianqian was also his daughter.

Luckily, Luo Qianqian was not what she used to be, she bent to get her shoe like she had not heard anything, after she put her shoe back on she looked at them with indifference in her eyes.

“Father, you are showing partiality to my sisters without asking anyone what happened.” Prime Minister Luo was infuriated seeing how indifferent Luo Qianqian was.

‘What is going on? Is this girl Luo Qianqian?’

Luo Qianqian used fear Prime Minister Luo, how come she was talking to him in this tone? Was it really because she was counting on Prince Eighth’s backing like his First Lady and Second Concubine had said?

Thinking of that possibility, Prime Minister Luo criticized Luo Qianqian even more, “You defiant little girl! You think you have got Prince Eighth’s backing now, don’t you? But you are still my daughter!”

“Hahaha…”, Luo Qianqian laughed, “I have nothing to say if that’s really how you think of me, father.”

Needless to say, her own father must have the worst impression of her thanks to his concubines pillow talk!

Prime Minister Luo had never truly cared for her.

That was why he decided to marry Luo Qianqian to Prince Eighth, he would never marry Luo Yuyan and Luo Keer to an impotent man.

She now felt sad for the owner of this body, the real Luo Qianqian.

Luo Yuyan stood quietly, she was the perfect daughter in Prime Minister Luo’s eyes, highly accomplished in zither playing, game of go, calligraphy and painting, the pride of the whole mansion.

“Yuyan, take your Third Sister away, I’ll deal with this later on.” Prime Minister Luo controlled his temper.

Luo Yuyan’s eyes turned cold, she bowed to her father, “Yes, daddy.”

“But daddy…”, Luo Keer wanted too see Luo Qianqian get punished in person.

Prime Minister Luo patted Luo Keer’s shoulder due to impatience, “Listen to me, just go back.”

Even though Prime Minister Luo had always been doting them, Luo Keer was well aware that her father had a short temper, she did not want to disobey her father. Thinking of that, Luo Keer shot a glare at Luo Qianqian and off she went with Luo Yuyan.

It was a fact that she was beaten by Luo Qianqian, plus her mother had talked her up in front of her daddy, Luo Qianqian, even though she was the princess-to-be, she was going to get punished for sure.

Luo Qianqian remained the daughter of Prime Minister Luo, she was obliged to do whatever her father asked her to do.

Luo Qianqian looked indifferent the whole time, she was not Prime Minister Luo’s real daughter anyways, the real Luo Qianqian was dead due to Luo Yuyan and Luo Keer.

“Prime… Prime Minister Luo…”, Xiao Yue was so scared that she was shaking, what if Prime Minister Luo really punished her lady?

Prime Minister Luo stared at Luo Qianqian, and gritted his teeth, “Luo. Qian. Qian.”

“Are you going to punish me, father?” Luo Qianqian stared back.

She was no stranger to Luo Punishment, the cane hitting always made her skin spllit and flesh torn.

Prime Minister Luo, somehow, seeing Luo Qianqian’s eyes, was at a loss for word at the moment.

“Why are you always setting yourself against your sisters?” Prime Minister Luo asked this question for the first time in fifteen years.

“Why do you bother to ask now that you don’t believe what I say?” Luo Qianqian sneered.

Prime Minister Luo’s face darkened, ans his tone became graver, “Luo Qianqian! You are talking to your father, where are your manners?”

Prime Minister Luo talked back, “How about you, a father who showings partiality and allows her daughters to murder others?”

“Who was murdered?” Prime Minister Luo yelled back, damn, he knew it was a mistake that he was trying to have a conversation with Luo Qianqian.

He lost his beloved one due to Luo Qianqian, she died giving birth too Luo Qianqian!

That was probably why he had never cared for Luo Qianqian.

“I… …”

Luo Qianqian muted herself all of a sudden, she wanted to say it out loud that the real Luo Qianqian had died. But in everyone’s eyes now, Luo Qianqian was alive, she felt sad and uncomfortable thinking about that.

She shook her head, trying to get rid of that thought.

Why was she feeling sad, this person was not her father.

Luo Qianqian took a deep breath and tried to avert her gaze from Prime Minister Luo, “If you want to punish me, let’s get it done and over with, if otherwise, please excuse me for having nothing to host you, the door is that way.”

Prime Minister Luo was speechless, Luo Qianqian was the only girl who tried to drive him off.

Well, actually her mother was the first.

He had to admit, as Luo Qianqian grew older, she looked exactly like her late mother.

Prime Minister Luo felt something different seeing Luo Qianqian this day.

Thinking about what Prince Eighth’s subordinate had told him earlier, he sighed and asked his servant to come to the yard.

“Yes, Prime Minister?” The servant thought it was punishment time now.

Luo Qianqian also thought the same, she told herself she would fight if that was really the case.

“Go clean Luo Pavilion for Fourth Lady.”

“Pardon?” The servant was ready to carry out the punishment.

Luo Pavilion? The place where Fourth Lady’s mother used to live? Prime Minister Luo named that place himself.

“What are you waiting for? Just go already!” Prime Minister Luo continued, “Take some jewelries for Fourth Lady as well.”

The servant nodded, “Yes, Prime Minister Luo, I’m on it now.”

With that Prime Minister Luo looked at Luo Qianqian coldly, “That’s all I can do, you are on your own.”

General Invincible turned out to be Luo Qianqian’s big backer.
