292 Younger Sister

The sound of a slap reverberated throughout the valley.

Qiao Xin’s hand didn’t land on Qiao Yue’s face. Instead, her arm was grabbed by Qiao Yue, and she was thrown to the ground.

“What right do you have to hit me?”

Qiao Xin’s eyes were red. She stood up hurriedly to lunge at Qiao Yue, but Qiao Yue didn’t give her a chance to get close.

Qiao Yue raised her leg and kicked Qiao Xin in the chest.

This kick was so forceful that Qiao Xin fell to the ground and didn’t get up for a long time.

Qiao Xin’s lungs almost popped out of her chest from the kick.

“Who asked you to bully my classmates?” Qiao Yue walked up to Qiao Xin and stepped on her expensive fur shawl.

“Who did I bully?” Qiao Xin tried to argue.

Qiao Yue put her phone in front of Qiao Xin and showed her the surveillance video she had just pulled up.

Qiao Yue had YQ install a surveillance software on her phone after the previous near-attack masterminded by Qiao Xin.

The surveillance video playing on Qiao Yue’s phone showed the violent actions of these people towards Hong Ning.

“What do want?” Li Rong and Li Cheng also saw the video. “We were just teaching Hong Ning a lesson. Why are you meddling in our business?”

“You guys are bullying Hong Ning because I helped her, right?” Qiao Yue leaned over and looked at Li Rong and Li Cheng.

Her eyes were sharp, and her entire being exuded a strong sense of oppression.

Li Rong could not help but shiver.

“We… We didn’t. We only retaliated because Hong Ning bullied us.”

Qiao Yue didn’t give Li Cheng any face and kicked him.

Li Cheng wasn’t half as strong as Qiao Yue, and he was kicked to the ground. He couldn’t get up and just sat there rubbing his knee.

“Save your words for the school disciplinary committee. I’ll prepare the evidence.” Qiao Yue kicked Li Cheng in the stomach.

“Even if you are Qiao, you can’t just beat people up!” Li Rong shouted.

“We are in the mountains. Do you have any evidence?” Qiao Yue shrugged her shoulders. “Also, if you’re unconvinced, feel free to have your injuries examined.”

Qiao Yue turned and got into her car, ready to drive down the mountain.

Hong Ning’s soft sobs sounded in the car.

“Just cry if you feel like it. You’ll feel better after that.” Qiao Yue massaged her glabella.

“Send me your parents’ CVs, I… I have a friend at KA. I’ll ask them to set your parents up with jobs.” Qiao Yue found some tissues in her car and handed them to Hong Ning.

“If you still want to be a dancer, you can’t have any visible scars on your body. I have a doctor friend who developed a scar-removal ointment. I’ll give you some later. Don’t worry, you can still become a very good dancer.”

Hong Ning nodded. Her eyelashes were soaked in tears. She looked up at Qiao Yue. “Qiao Yue, why are you so nice to me?”

Qiao Yue was at a loss for words. She suspected that Hong Ning had misunderstood her.

The two of them now looked like Cinderella and Prince Charming from the fairy tale.

But Qiao Yue helped Hong Ning only because she admired her and hated what Qiao Xin and her friends did to her.

More importantly, Qiao Yue was a girl with normal sexual orientation. She had no romantic interest in Hong Ning.

Qiao Yue reached out and ruffled Hong Ning’s hair. She noticed that Hong Ning’s face was red.

“My parents didn’t give me a younger sister despite my wish for such a long time.” Qiao Yue suddenly thought of a better idea. “You can become my adopted sister. They won’t bully you anymore after that.”

An adopted sister of the Qiao family?

Hong Ning raised her head in shock. She was about to confess her love to Qiao Yue, but why did Qiao Yue say that?

Becoming Qiao Yue’s adopted sister was equivalent to having a backer in the Qiao family. However, based on the usual plot of romantic dramas, shouldn’t Qiao Yue like her back?

“I’ve always wanted a younger sister. If you don’t like the idea, I won’t force you.” Qiao Yue looked at Hong Ning with a smile.

Hong Ning shook her head quickly. Although she liked Qiao Yue, she couldn’t force Qiao Yue to like her. If Qiao Yue didn’t like her, she wouldn’t pester him.

After all, a good person like Qiao Yue was worthy of a better girl.

Seeing Hong Ning’s sad yet relieved expression, Qiao Yue could roughly guess what she was thinking.

“Alright, will you be my younger sister? If yes, let’s pinky swear.” Qiao Yue held out her pinky, ready to make a pinky promise with Hong Ning.
