Qiao Jing also felt Qiao Yu’s gaze, and he looked at him coldly.

“Sit properly.”

Qiao Jing was a cold person, and so was his voice. Although Qiao Ze and Qiao Yu didn’t like their second brother, Qiao Yu was still under Qiao Jing’s care and had to listen to him.

As they drove, Qiao Yu peeked at the two people in the backseat through the rearview mirror from time to time, but he didn’t see anything unusual anymore.

There was less traffic late at night compared to during the day. The summer breeze blew through the car windows, making the ride pleasant for everyone.

Qiao Yue opened her eyes slightly, still confused about her surroundings.

“Brother?”

Her slightly hoarse voice instantly attracted the attention of the two men.

“Yes.”

“Fifth brother, you’re awake?”

The two people who answered Qiao Yue at the same time looked at each other and didn’t speak again.

Qiao Yue’s alcohol-soaked brain took a little while to fully comprehend her situation.

“Where are we now?” Qiao Yue mumbled.

“We’re almost home,” Qiao Yu replied immediately.

Qiao Yue turned her head to look out the window. They were indeed almost home. She could more or less see the gate of the Qiao family villa.

“How much did you drink?” Suddenly, the person beside her spoke again.

Qiao Yue knew that it was Qiao Jing who had asked her. She smiled and replied, “Four bottles? Maybe five? I can’t remember.”

“Four or five bottles and you’re already this drunk?” Although Qiao Jing’s tone remained calm, Qiao Yue could hear the doubt in his voice and criticism that he’s a better drinker than her.

“Yes.” Qiao Yue lied without changing her expression.

Qiao Yu didn’t say a word. He just quietly listened to Qiao Yue lie and secretly gave him a thumbs up in his heart, thinking that he was a hero.

As soon as they got home, Qiao Yue’s phone rang. She glanced at the number and frowned slightly. She quickly sneaked back to her room giving the excuse that she wanted to sleep. Qiao Jing, who had wanted to talk to Qiao Yue, missed her.

“What’s wrong?” Qiao Yue asked after picking up the call.

As Qiao Yue was living with the Qiao’s now, she couldn’t reveal her identity. It was always her who called Chu Jia, never the other way around.

“Boss, godfather has sent word that Trand has sent people after you. You have to be careful.” Chu Jia’s voice was anxious, clearly worried about her.

Qiao Yue chuckled. “Trand has recovered so quickly? Looks like the next bullet need to hit closer to his heart.”

“Boss, how can you be so relaxed? He’s a mad dog. We didn’t kill him last time, and now he’s going to kill us. I’m coming back with Stone and the rest. Please be careful in the next couple of days.”

“No need,” Qiao Yue stopped her.

“What?” Chu Jia did not understand for a moment.

“You don’t have to come back. You guys should have fun. Be careful.” Qiao Yue said lightheartedly, as if she was in no danger.

“How can we do that? Boss, that mad dog doesn’t care about the consequences when he bites!” Chu Jia exclaimed.

“It’s okay. I’ll be going abroad in a few days. He won’t be able to find me for a while.”

“Going abroad? Where to? Are you coming to Saint Peter’s Island?” After hearing Qiao Yue’s reason, Chu Jia was relieved and quickly asked Qiao Yue where she was going.

Qiao Yue changed her clothes and cradled the phone between her neck and shoulder. “To S-Country. Old Master Qiao is at a hospital there.”

“Oh! I see!” Chu Jia had a realization.

“Then, boss, there’s nothing else on my side.”

“Be careful.”

Qiao Yue hung up and frowned. She had underestimated the mad dog, Trand. She thought that he would lay low for a while after the assassination attempt. She didn’t expect him to take revenge so soon. It seemed that she had to be more careful when she went about her life in the next few days.

Suddenly, her phone dinged. Qiao Yue glanced at the screen and saw that she had been added into a group chat.

Within seconds, there were five messages in the group chat, and the number was increasing rapidly.

In the past, she would leave a group chat immediately when she was added without her knowledge. However, today, probably because of the alcohol, she opened the chat.

The first message in the group was a video, followed by a row of love-struck emojis.

Qiao Yue frowned and clicked on the video. Qiao Yu’s voice suddenly came from the phone.

“I go first?”

“Okay.”

This question and answer came from a video of their Dare punishments. Qiao Yue then watched Qiao Yu pick her up and walk around the room.
