Chapter 250 - Trouble is Here VII

Xu Nuan watched the video posted by Mr. Wen and was impressed that he kept his word. Yesterday, when he found out about the anonymous post about her, he called her and told her that he will release the statement to clear this situation and she doesn't need to fret over it. 

She wasn't expecting much from it but his idea to clear this rumor was indeed a good one. He didn't use his words, instead, he posted the video that they had taken while re-evaluating her. 

This was more impactful than any written statement. On top of that, the video she secured changed the whole game. 

At first, she wasn't planning to cause this much havoc and was gonna post the identity of the person who uploaded that post, which was Xingren. It wasn't difficult since she simply needed to trace her IP address. 

It wasn't difficult for her to get access to Xingren's computer since she isn't well-versed in such stuff. 

However, when she went through Xinrgen's phone, she found this phone call recording that she had with her friend and it gave her a mind-blowing idea. 

She wasn't aware that she was the one who asked the girl to attack her and almost killed her again. After knowing this, how can she let her live in peace? She isn't some saint that she will let her get away from this. 

She deserves to be punished and there was no way that she will let this golden opportunity pass by just like that. 

" I wonder what Mr. Han be doing right now?" She mumbled while playing with the strawberry in her hand.

She glanced at her phone that started ringing and plopped a strawberry in her mouth before answering the call, " Hola! So you finally called? I thought that you would call me earlier. I am kinda upset." 

" YOU BITCH! HOW DARE YOU?" Xingren shouted from the other side. 

Xu Nuan winced upon hearing the high-pitched voice and put the phone a bit away from her ear. To not torture her ears, she put the phone on the speaker and said, " Hey, Hey. Don't get angry. I can't take the blame if your head explodes because of high blood pressure."

Upon hearing her laid-back tone, Xingren felt her body temperature rising due to anger, " Xu Nuan, I know that it was you who posted this audio clip. So don't you dare make excuses for it."

" Ah? When did I make any excuses? Who else will post this other than me? Afterall, no one knows you better than me." Xu Nuan giggled and stood up to get herself a can of beer while holding the phone in her hand. 

Xingren clenched her fist in frustration and said through her gritted teeth, " Xu Nuan, delete that post or else I-

" What can you do?" 

Xu Nuan stood in front of the kitchen counter as she put the beer can on top of the counter as she said, " Will you try to kill me again? Hmm? Do you think you have the guts to do so?"

She closed the speaker and put the phone near her ears before saying solemnly, " Xingren, Let me tell you one thing. You can do nothing to me. And you are aware of that."

" Stop wasting your energy and find a way to get out of this mess. Well, I doubt that you can do so this time. After all, the whole college knows your truth now. So...All the best!!" After saying this, she hung up the phone and went to the living room with her beer can.

On the other side, Xingren was still in a daze after the phone call was hung up in the middle. Tears welled up in her eyes as frustration heightened upon seeing Xu Nuan having an upper hand on her. 

"Xu Nuan, why didn't you die when you got into the accident? Why are you so thick-skinned?" she shrieked in anger.

In the living room, all the elders of the family were gathered and discussing what to do about Xu Nuan's scandal in the college. 

" Old Man, why are you not understanding? It's better for her to drop out of college than get rusticated." Grandmother Gu said as she tried to convince her husband. 

Grandfather Gu glared at her and said, " Xu Nuan is not going to get kicked out of the college. And I will make sure of it. How can they believe the rumors and not my granddaughter?"

Gu Zhang sighed exasperatedly, " Father, you're being unreasonable now. What rumor? It's obvious that she cheated in the exams. You think about it, considering her rank in high school, do you think that a girl like her can top the Xin Liu's exam?"

Grandfather Gu frowned but didn't say anything. He was tired of arguing with them now. 

He doesn't know anything else. If Xu Nuan is saying she didn't do anything wrong, then she didn't. 

She won't lie to him. Moreover, she will not do anything to make him ashamed of her. He has that much trust in her. 

Seeing Grandfather Gu not saying anything, Gu Zhang got annoyed, " Father, you...really-

He frowned and looked at his phone that was ringing. His expressions turned dark upon seeing the name flashing on the screen. He looked at Grandfather Gu and said, " See? Now Xin Liu's Dean is calling me. What do you want me to say to him?" 

Grandfather Gu looked at his phone in worry and before he could say anything, Grandmother Gu urged Gu Zhang to pick up the call, " Stop wasting time and pick up the call. Tell him that we want her to drop out of college."

"Zou Ling" Grandfather Gu snapped at his wife but she ignored him. 

Gu Zhang picked up the call and said, " Ah, Mr. Wen, I was about to call you."

Without letting him speak, he continued, " I know the reason you called me at this time. It's because of Xu Nuan, right? We found out about the rumor that was going around the college." 

" Mr. Gu, you found out about everything?" Mr. Wen asked in surprise. 

He just saw another post updated on the forum and was shocked to hear the conversion in the audio clip. How can Xingren-

" Mr. Wen, I am very ashamed to talk to you right now. I can't believe that my daughter can do something like this. However, rather than hiding this issue and encourage her wrong deeds, I want to make her drop out of college."

" After all this, there is no way she should be allowed to stay in the college. But I...just wanted to request you to not rusticate her from college since it will not be good for her nor our family. " She needs help, Mr. Gu. She is living in a delusion. For her, the world is revolving around her and she finds it unbearable when someone else gets the attention and love from the people around her. And this kind of illusion makes her do dangerous things which are normal and justifiable for her." He said while remembering how casually Xingren was talking about death in the audio clip. 

How can she say that she just pushed her and excuse her crime by saying that Xu Nuan didn't even die? He doesn't know what happened exactly but whatever it is, it was dangerous and not normal. 

Gu Zhang frowned. Dangerous things? He knows that Xu Nuan is crazy but...is her condition so bad that he is suggesting to make her take the counseling sessions or get checked by a doctor?

" Mr. Wen, thanks for your kindness. I will do whatever will be appropriate for my daughter. For the dropping out procedures, I will send you Xu Nuan's doc.u.ments by tomorrow afternoon. But...can you do something to subside this cheating rumor by covering up this matter?'

" Since Xingren studies in the same college, I don't want her to be humiliated because of what Xu Nuan did. It will be unfair to that girl."
